Our family has been running an average of 25 miles a week. Some of my faves include Swiftwick socks, mid rise speed up shorts from Lululemon, and a women’s Nathan hydration pack. I’ve been running a long time and these are the what I’ve found to be most comfortable and attractive during all our runs.
I’m on my second trimester and just yesterday I had to go back home for either Kinetic tape or a pelvis supporter for my bump! Yep, one of those runs. I’d say either one is a must when running during pregnancy! ☝🏼
I’d love to hear your podcast recommendations! I love Rich Roll. Also for nursing sports bras I’m going to try Senita athletics! They’re women owned and I love their products so much. Very affordable!
Yes! I'm still a huge fan of Senita products, they are durable (a quality I really care about). Rich Roll lost me as he became increasingly woke but I use to love his endurance content. I listen to Relatable by Allie Beth Stuckey, Risen Motherhood, and a few physical therapy podcasts + Squat University to continue learning about movement patterns, injury prevention and recovery.
Thanks for the running tips! I would like a kitchen movement workout please. And I like moving comfort bras for running but I think they recently got bought by Brooks. The straps are adjustable so you can use it for nursing but it's not a specific nursing bra. They offer great support with running, jumping, etc.
Ohh yeah! One of my best friends who has a larger chest than I do swears by Moving Comfort! Interesting they merged/got bought by Brooks. Thanks for the tip!
Hey Ashley, I totally agree with kitchen counter. On another note though, I have been following your prenatal workout since about 9 weeks, I'm at 26 now, I have been doing great. I love it, and I usually do a little more than you have listed! Today though I started to do the walk/run and before I even started running I dislocated my knee. It's an old injury and happens sometimes. I was wondering if you had any knee safe workouts or advice for healing while not gaining weight from not doing cardio?
wow congrats on keeping yourself in such amazing condition this pregnancy Riley! I'm so sorry to hear about your knee getting dislocated, that's usually the cause of a very traumatic fall or car crash, something severe! It is different from a dislocated knee cap, which is also a serious injury. Low impact thighs & booty prenatal is your best bet right now.
@@testimonialsglowbodypt thank you! I'll try that. Yes it's a full knee dislocation, when I was a teen my brother tried to hang from my knee when I was up a tree, ever since then bnb it happens every couple years.
Great video, as usual! I’ve been looking for a hydration pack instead of the belt I’ve been using, so I ended up going with your suggestion. I took it on an 8 mile trail run today and LOVED it!!! So, thank you! I do have a question- I was able to keep it from sloshing by getting the air out of the bladder, but the pack itself did still bounce some. Do you have any tips for minimizing hydration pack bouncing?
@@glowbodypt I am 6 weeks postpartum and on your 12 week plan. Loving it so far. You've been a great inspiration to me during pregnancy and now after. The only blogger I have found that has "real life" stuff that I can relate to personally. Thank you!
Kitchen counter mobility would be great! Like the other ladies I feel like I spend a LOT of time in the kitchen ( too much some days!) thanks for this video it was great !
Hey little late on this video maybe I should post my question on a more recent video but I am clueless to where would I go to get my stroller looked at for a long distance run? Right now it’s OK but it is a bit wobbly when I hit a higher pace.
Do you use your garmin watch for swimming/biking as well? I'm looking to get a new Garmin watch that will work for running as well as possible triathlon training.
Ashley, can you suggest a small timer possibly to use for the walk to run plan? I only have my phone but would prefer something less bulky to carry around. Thanks!
Happy to have found your channel today! Do you have a stroller to recommend for a mom that is just starting to run? I have never really been into running but I have decided to slowly start. I am looking for the right stroller at the moment. I am pretty short too, 5' so I would like something that will be comfortable for my height. I am a DPT student as well as mom to a 16 mo old. Thank you in advance
That's awesome you are earning your doctorates in physical therapy, major props to you Xhejni!! I've had a phil and teds as well as a BOB and would recommend the latter 100%. Expensive, yes, but highly durable, safe, easy to use, worth the investment and super adjustable (watch my Stroller Running Tips RU-vid video!!) for your petite 5' frame. : ) I also just shared a Beginner Runner Tips video that would be perfect timing for you on your journey, too!
holster in it! It's smooth like velvet almost and I wear it inside the front of my jeans and you can't even see I'm conceal carrying. I think the brand is blackhawk. : )
I am very prone to mastitis as well -- I got it twice while I was breastfeeding my firstborn. Do you have any tips for how to prevent it (since you are also prone to mastitis)?
