very good and informative video! I needed to replace my adco cover which wasn't wearing well in the Florida sun....hurricane Ian took care of the rest! thanks and I just purchased one and subscribe to your channel....happy new year!
Thanks Victoria! Are you staying in Minnesota now? I know you had talked about getting out on the road, were you able to? The summer was great! Went by too fast as usual. How was yours?
I like covering my RV despite the work involved. My Class B van can't be climbed on top due to solar panels and accessories. What I do is lay the cover on one side and start the front part. Then I take a ball connected to a rope and throw it over the van. The attached rope is gently pulled over the van. This is how I do it myself. Sometimes a long broomstick helps if the cover gets caught somewhere.
Just bought through the link. Thanks for a solid demonstration for a first-time RV owner, and happy Black Friday to anyone else reading this. It's like $180 right now :D
Looks good .....should help your rig stay nice n dry ..... Im out on the road back in the sierras camping in my older model Lance camper i bought a couple months back . its a work in progress ( ha)! but yea back up in the mammoth lakes to Tahoe range where my ski bum career started ..... getting the new used lance camper ship / shape and ready for the winters adventure .....have a good season , have fun and keep the videos going .....
Thanks! Yeah, it should do the trick. We really want to keep our rig long term and know the UV rays here cook RV's! So you found a Lance? I think last time we talked you said you had been looking. Glad you found something! Man, I would love to visit Mammoth lakes and Tahoe. It's been a long time since I have been there and I have never been there in winter! Our mountains got some snow a day ago! Hopefully we will have a good season!
The cover did excellent over the winter! We covered our camper in October 2021 when the video posted and removed it in April 2022. It did not tear at all. All the straps held and did not rip. Everything looked great after 1 winter of use! This cover looked better after one season than any other brand cover we've had. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
It seems like a pretty good cover from what I can tell. They have a range of different covers, so maybe they have something that will work. Thanks for the comment and watching!
Would you buy this cover again knowing what you now know or spend a little extra for something different. I appreciate your video and just want to do this right the first time. Thanks
Also my trailer overall is 29’30” from bumper to hitch coupler. Is that the measurement or go smaller because the actual camper isn’t. Transcend 247bh . Thanks
Yes I would buy this cover again. We've owned other covers much more expensive that have not done as good of a job as this one. After the first year, this looks much better than the other covers that we owned. The measurement for the cover is the measurement for the box of your camper. Not your entire camper tongue to back. So, you should be good with the one I posted in the link. Thanks for watching!
So far it has been working out great! After 1 winter there was no rips or tears in the fabric. All the straps were still good too. We've been really happy with the cover so far. Thanks for watching!
I've had it on the camper for 2 winters and it has done really well! We had a bad hail storm a while back which popped some holes in it, otherwise it has held up very well. I would expect to get at least another 2 winters out of it.
It has held up really well! We've only used it for one winter so far, but there were no rips or tears on any of the straps or on the fabric. Other covers we've had before will have tears after one winter. Hope that helps, thanks for watching!
We sold that camper but got a solid 3 years out of the cover. We could have easily continued to use it for a few more years. It held up better than the other more expensive brands we had. Thanks for watching.
Hey Brian, How's the rv cover holding up ? I'm in the Market for a rv cover with Slideout, Storage, an Door zippers for access to these .Any recommendations ??
Good timing! We just removed our cover on Sunday. It still looks great! The top has a few rips and tears, we had a pretty serious hail storm a week and a half ago that did a number on the top. Other than that, it has held up really good. None of the corners are ripped and all the straps still work well. The gutter caps with the foam have really helped too. Thanks for watching.
