If someone had told me, "You can burn solid sawdust in a stove - and nothing else" I wouldn't have believed them. This is excellent Mladen, well done.

Great video. Thanks for proving sawdust will burn . I've had people telling me it would not without an additional heat source. There's many places where people can not afford to heat their homes in most ways simply and affordably. A fireplace looses too much of the heat but your idea is perfect for a home in the forest without gas or electricity. You might try and see if the gas coming off of the stove is flammable as with a wood gas generator. If so, you have an additional source of fuel to run a generator for electricity.

I have seen the sawdust stove before but your video is the best at actually showing what goes on after the sawdust starts burning properly. Great solution to get cheap heat from multiple fuels in one stove, well done. Best Wishes, Brendan.

Yep. Those smoldering coals from sawdust should be good and warm for hours, like cooking on a campfire. I also noticed some nice ventilated shelving for drying your briquettes. It looks like you're killing more than 2 birds with 1 stone (an old sayng for "multitasking") in that room. :-)

That's wonderful, i really like it. And the fact that you can burn wood too is really good. Do you produce your own sawdust or you get it from sawmills? Mine is thicker and will probably collapse when you take out the plastic tubes. Thanks for the video!

I use wood chips and find out if you pack it tightly enough it will not collapse

Heck, our 22" diameter x 30" long multi-fuel stove will throw 20+ hours of heat, if loaded.

When you construct your fire with sawdust in this manner does it burn similar to a rocket stove? Mike from Canada.

Mladen, would it be possible to install a copper coil inside the drum and a water pump on the outside - and make a boiler out of that?! Thank you very much.
@Mladen365
@Mladen365 8 лет назад
+Georgezama yes it is great idea,you can put coil on inside and outside of barel,that will heat water very quickly,greetings

+Georgezama this stove can heat coil on inside or outside,once you load with sawdust and start fire stove will quickly raise heat and with pump it can be used to heat your water heater or house,greetings

An after thought, if you burn waste oil or you might call it used oil, you are gonna need to experiment a little. I believe from what I've seen, it burns hotter than say brickettes, or wood. Looking forward to more of your videos. Jeff

why didnt you use a fire light bricket in the middle to start it. would be cheaper than all hat gas you was burning. make you own fire lighters with sawdust and meted wax and pack in to small container like a used toilet roll tube.

You've got the best of all ways of heating. saw dust or rocket stove. That is a great design. You could set us a waste oil burning nozzle with a blower to feed it air through the bottom air hole, you won't have to worry about a fuel supply. You can burn anything in it. Waste oil, wood, corn cob, saw dust, anything you can get to burn would work. Good Job my friend. I always enjoy your videos. Jeff
