No offense to you as I really enjoy your content. Doing this and posting this will actively make the game worse (already opr is in a horrible spot), and may make a few people's experience fun but actually hurt the game. I am very disappointed.
No offense taken at all! I think quite honestly that more content like this needs to come out. We have extremely flawed systems in place at the moment. OPR is in a horrible spot and we are prioritizing cross-server queueing, which will not fix the problem Then, we have a very poorly designed season pass that promotes players standing in one spot and mass rolling to complete an endless checklist that does not lead to organic, engaging gameplay experiences. The fact that a single video can derail the flow of OPR and show the design flaws of the season pass is quite ridiculous from a development perspective. I apologize if you are disappointed and don't enjoy the content. But how will any of this ever be fixed if it does not come to light? For over a year we have dealt with OPR and have been given subpar systems over and over again. If we don't "hurt the game" and show how these things truly impact the game in a negative light, then I am not sure who will ever try and fix anything. My hope is that this maybe sheds light on where the priorities need to be. Quite honestly, if this is even possible after almost a month of being out and an entire PTR cycle--then I am not quite sure what to say. There needs to be more testing and reviewing of tester feedback so proper changes can be implemented and balanced. I appreciate the discussion! I just think we can't sit on this wheel anymore crossing our fingers that things will be fixed. It is time to break the wheel and find the flaws so they can reinvent it. I care about this game so much and want to see it moving in the right direction.
OPR already hurts the game. New players don't enjoy it at all. Most longer tenured don't either, TBH. You literally can't "ruin" what is already a trash system/game mode that has had zero significant changes since launch. If anything, letting some peeps who normally wouldn't waste their time queueing to go against a team of premades get at least some enjoyment out of it is an overall plus. It ruins nothing. Feel free to go to the mines and kill the pvers ;)
Lemoni is pretty low on the list of people to be blamed for how bad OPR is and how badly the Season Pass was designed. The entire concept of the Activity Cards is an obviously abusable system and, unfortunately, AGS doesn't quietly shut down abused mechanics unless they become public knowledge. I am pretty sure that people, Lemoni included, were posting in PTR stages about how abusable the Activity Card system is, but it still goes live. Then AGS tacitly acknowledges this by shutting down particular activities, but not fundamentally changing the system. Players basically have to hold AGS's hands through exploit whack-a-mole for them to actually do anything about them.
Honestly quickest way to do Season pass is Shattered Mountain @ mountain home. take magic, 2H, 1H, Bow to kill 10 of type, you have corrupted outside, level 60 animals to skin which count as tier 5 collection too, you have gypsum cast and able to cook 5 tier items inside town. you just complete cards on those ones and nothing more, There no travelling to be done.
Actually I figured out an even faster way. Open your wallet and put in your credit card information. You can actually unlock the whole pass in a matter of minutes. Keep this between us though.
Man the grind for the heart cores sucks. I been playing for days and only pulled ten. I am level 25 season exp but I've not completed the new expedition, have no crafted human ward gear and generally got bored with the whole grind. Forcing PvP to complete those cards suck. The Azoth cost to reroll is ridiculous
Something seriously wrong with your moral compass thinking this is OK to do in a team game mode. Wasting the time of 39 other people for your personal gain.
I feel like you should get an ingame ban for this. Actively promoting exploits that knowingly will hurt other player`s game experience should not be tolerated. You are not just showing flaws of the game in a constructive manner, you are promoting it as a thing that every player should do now. Also: AGS has shown 100 times now how exploits should be reported. Releasing a video on it on calling it "the best way to progress" was not in that suggestion.
OPR flaws and legit suggestions to improve this crapfest system and game mode have been communicated to the Devs for over a year now. This doesn't break anything anyway. Oh what, you can't just run laps around the middle fort to get your stat pad on? You have to actually chase to the sides to do it now so the stats are less impressive? You still get to go kill people and cap points right? How does this ruin anything for anyone other than stat padders? It doesn't. That's how. So if the queues lose normal OPR players, it's not exactly a terrible thing since OPR sucks already. So the people who make it suck aren't exactly a big loss ;)
I'm sorry you feel this way. My friend...this is not an exploit...at all. I am using the stamping system that has been implemented and highlighted as the best way to level the pass. I simply reroll for stamps that are advantageous and I complete the stamps, which they allow, in OPR. Why do you feel that this is an exploit?
Exploit definition: "In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitch, or use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game's designers, in a way that gives a substantial unfair advantage to players using it." You "use elements of a game system in a manner not intended by the game designer's" by using OPR not to play PvP or play PvE to win the game, instead use OPR as a tool to speedrun the Season Pass and not contribute to the team. It gives an unfair advantage due to being "the most effective way" to speedrun the Season Pass, like you said in the video. If you queue for OPR you should try to win the game and not grief your team, which should everyone understand.
These videos are the sole reason that I believe New world is somehow surviving. I thought this game was dead but glad to see one person still loving it.
lol hilarious the npc count for OPR kills. Wonder how long this'll count for. Also hiarious that T4 nodes in OPR count as T5, again another obvious overlook. Hilarious.
So the reason they count is that they are not t4 nodes...although they look like t4 materials they are actually called "Infused Ore" or whatever material it is and it is T5. But yes, the fact that NPC's count as an OPR kill is dumb.
