Best Settings For MSFS | Stutter Fix and FPS Increase

I’m curious how many frames are you getting on these specs as I have the same but an I7 10th gen and it’s virtually unplayable for me at the moment. Going to try this and see how I get on

I would not do a DDU every time, only use it when installing a new GPU otherwise it's unnecessary. If you have a 60Hz TV then you will get the smoothest experience if you can reach 60fps. If your pc can run msfs at 120 then it won't do any difference as your TV can't show all of those FPS (a max of 60). If you can't reach the 60 fps and your sitting at around 30 fps then I would recommend using the setting (in the simulator "use 50% of refresh rate")that way you get the smoothest experience. And yes the DLSS will increase your FPS depending on the setting you chose, as what it does is, it basically renders the game in a lower resolution (let's say for you instead of 4k it's doing 1440p) and then it will try to show you what 4k would look like with the help of A.I Hope that helped.

@@NonstopFlyingg I see... so my RTX3090 I9 10900k with 64gig of ram and 1tb SSD along with LG 48" smartTv 4k runniing Msfs2020 at a typical 60fps isn't going to really benefit from this SU10... I'm not complaining or anything, I was just curious about the tweaks and next update if it will change for the better anything in my sim. to be honest i'm more interested in better weather and turb. and a actual weather radar in my planes.

Very true, I don't use traffic as I find it annoying, I'm waiting for FS Traffic to come out by Just Flight. Once that has been released I will make sure to create a video regarding that :)

Nope no shaders just the preset with Reshade

It’s a laptop. There’s your problem. You need a beast computer because even a high end laptop isn’t enough for msfs. I have a Nvidia RTX 2060 and I experience issues. However I haven’t tried these fixes yet so I will try them when I get on my pc

That comes automatically when you turn on Dev mode in the sim itself

Sorry to hear that, the sim always selects a special few to make life hard for. I’ve only heard a couple of people having problems but almost everyone things the settings are better

@@NonstopFlyingg I did go back an reverse individual settings and turning low latency mode to off atleast stopped the CTD’s. But admittedly the settings worked better so thanks :)

It’s the default dev mode counter.

That is due to the fact that you don't have the sim Update 10 Beta build, If your on Steam follow the steps at 3:32, otherwise you need to change it in the Microsoft store. Hope this helps

Did you do it over steam ? Then just go right click on the game and hit properties, beta and select none

That is true however, this video is aimed towards showing the best settings and optimizing the sim. With showing the settings for sim update 10 I’m also making sure this video is reliable in the future after the update has become the norm.

What!? What folder do I need to backup? You mean save it somewhere?

Your community folder, which can be found under your mags directory, I’ve personally never backed it up as I don’t to many addons, but if you want to make sure that you get the best performance and don’t get hindered by any fps drop due to incompatible addons, then I would make a copy of the folder (store it on your desktop for the time being)

I did further testing and dx11 still works better for me than dx12

This video is fairly old, I would not use it anymore but some settings should still help
