Thank you thank you. I laughed really good when I saw your response, because that's what I was going to say. After they did the craft holster which was a beautiful leather holster, they did one that has like snaps that you would have on your backpack going to high school? I'm confused obviously.
I own the Craft Holster with two mag pouches. It works great and is useable for Lefty's like me. Also Alien did not make one for my gun when I was in the market for a shoulder holster.
Apart from number 3 looking like cheap shite, I thoroughly enjoy how a company that creates products for guns used a model who has clearly never touched a gun before. It was legit painful watching him struggle to get it out of the holster, and his finger discipline was appalling.
@@bripro68 I have one just like it as a temp as I am reseaching a good one for winter. I call it the $20 special. Qucik dirty and barely gets the job done.
I especially love the one where the Asian gentleman is teacupping the pistol.. This is a good indication they have no clue what they're doing. And the next 2 supposedly concealed coasters are just as a scrappy.
Except for the Alien because of its reputation, I have no idea what any of the others should be considered top 5 and the video didn't explain why any merit such a rating. This was just a string of five commercials.
I have both the alien and the Falco and enjoy the Falco just a bit more as I tend to carry a longer gun. The alien will poke at the back of my jacket but the Falco points down and a very simple and easy draw for when needed
I am not going to watch this and just give it a thumbs down because it’s titled “Best Shoulder Holsters 2024” but was made three years ago in 2021. So it’s automatically click bait IMHO. MAKE A NEW VIDEO OR RETITLE THIS ONE TO BE ACCURATE
I REALLY like the design of the third holster, but it just looked like it was made in very low quality.. anyone know of a well made one in that style??
Best one of the 5 is the Alien Gear. They thought of everything. More importantly there is no strap that runs across your chest or belly exposing the holster or that you're carrying something under your clothing. The idea is to keep it out of sight. Should holsters are undervalued. It is THE best practical holster IMHO for most people. Quick access. No chance of clothing snagging and slowing the draw. Costing valuable time where a second matters in getting a gun into action. Why everyone is focusing on IWB or OWB I don't know. Convenience? "Cool factor"? They affect mobility no matter how small and light the gun is. THere's a weight on your hip where before you began carrying there wasn't. Plus, most of us dont have "fast twitch muscle fibres" needed for quick arm/hand movement. Pro boxers have it and good marttial artists. E.g. Bruce Lee. Blinding speed. Just need to remember to dress for the holster...jacket or shirt unbuttoned. ..Though in a very hot climate that could be an issue...though so would and on waist holster. So...there's the rub. Do you then go for an ankle holster/miro pistol? ...probably. Depending on your lifestyle...many still wear a sports jacket in 93F-33c heat...for more formal settings...could also use a backpack at that rate if wearing a jacket is out of the question...85f heat... Most of the time I think a shoulder holster is the way to go...for civilians and plain-clothes LE people.
For many years I carried EDC with Galco Miami classic 1 and 2 models. These are definitely the creme-de-la-creme. I currently own a Tagua horizontal shoulder rig for my Ruger LCP Max and it is actually very good. I have uploaded a short on it recently

Best Shoulder Holsters? You're kidding, right? This is the shittiest collection of Holsters, I've ever seen! I'm not exaggerating! I can't believe, anyone would spend their Money on this collection of Shit! One Holster system I saw, that I thought was halfway, decent was the Craft Vertical Roto Shoulder Holster. I don't like it, However, it could be marginally, useful. The other Holsters, suck! What made me laugh, was the Kid doing the James Bond routine while wearing the Shitty, Alien Gear Shoulder System! Funny!
Y’all that “Craft” holster is actually a “Falco Holster” holster, I don’t know why they listed/linked it as a craft holster. And, it’s fucking obvious that this video was sponsored by alien gear. Which I think, is over hyped junk.

I think your review was in reverse order. Usually these top 5 lists go from worst to best but this has got to be going from best to worst. Did you even watch your top three? they are all cheep elastic and Velcro that are poorly designed for real world use. Number three you can see the presenter struggle to efficiently and effectively draw or holster the weapon. That's not just due to his apparent lack of experience or practice but due to the lack of proper thought being put in to the design of the "Universal Holster". Number 2 although slightly better than 3 falters with the "Universal Holster". The flaw with universal holsters is made somewhat apparent in this presentation as the mock weapon used in this demonstration shows. The weapon is held at an awkward angle making it difficult to properly draw the weapon. The number one key function of a holster is to secure the weapon and to do so in a way that offers an easy, quick and reliable draw. Number one is just a copy of number two. When I was in the market for a shoulder holster for my Sig P320 X-Carry, I looked at Alien Gear, but they were not making a holster for my Xcarry at the time. I thought I was simply going to be unable to get a shoulder holster. They are not as popular as they once were and don't have many good manufacturers for them. All I could find that worked for Lefty's, other than Alien, were those cheap universal Velcro pieces of garbage in your top three and others like them. I would rather put up with the discomfort of carrying inside the waste band than to use any of those. But just when I was ready to give up, I found Craft. Craft is a Germany based company and it did take 8 weeks for my $600.00 holster to arrive. But it was custom made to fit the gun and myself. The leather for the holster was properly shaped and provides a solid grip on the weapon. There is no fear of it falling out at anytime during any activity I have done while wearing it. Because of the "Roto" draw you can draw the weapon at whatever angle is most comfortable or necessary due to your surroundings or environment. The belt straps are adjustable and help to keep the weapon pinned in place, so it doesn't flop around under you arm or pop out of concealment for the world to see. The shoulder straps are adjustable. I wear this every time I leave the house and have never felt the need to complain about the straps cutting in to my shoulders or there being any lack of motion from a restrictive harness. If I feel the need to run, jump roll, or whatever, I can do so with confidence that the weapon will not come free from the holster unless I am drawing it. The one I got came with two mag pouches. These fit my mags perfectly. The leather will grip the mag just enough that my 17round mags will not fall out if the strap is released. But will come out easily and smoothly when gripped and removed. Craft is the only company I will use in the future when I have need for another shoulder holster. I have owned my Holster since 2019 and it is still going strong.
I’m shocked to see rubber bands as the best…..i feel like kids like these best due to lack of practice with a weapon and just wowed me id never wear a rubber band on my chest…that’s a dead giveaway…how is that concealment?
The only one i felt which was made well is the craftsmen…..it looked solid and honestly something that would last. Everyone is going to these Velcro …imo junk
The aliengear fucking sucks. It's way too fucking bulky and makes literally 0 effort to hide the handle. If you need deep concealment don't buy this shit it will not work.
3 2 1 are crap. If there's velcro forget or. That's gonna fail. If there's elastic, forget it. That shit will be stretched out in no time. 5 was the best and I wouldn't own anything like that. Too much plastic. Came here to get an idea of what else I could incorporate into my pattern. Completely disappointed with what I see
To anyone reading this the alien gear shoulder holster is one of three shoulder holsters that I have purchased. That holster fit like a damn glove just a bunch of adjusting that you have to do is all but once you've done that you're set. As far as I'm concerned the other shoulder holsters I have can go in the garbage. ALH also has pretty good customer service with lifetime warranties on practically everything they have. Plus if you get a new gun they will switch your shell on your holster for free. That being said good luck to everyone, stay safe stay armed Edit: my friend I believe has a kirk Patrick shoulder rig which is like a James Bond holster for his PPK they look rather comfortable as well and are made specifically for your size you give them the measurements and they build it by hand
Is this the brand he wears? I comment almost every episode what holster is he carrying. I've got a Galco Miami 2 and a Galco Jackass, and his seems more like the Miami 2 with the wider front straps.

@Oregon Patriot the holsters aren't the same. They're very different. If you ever want anything, we work on price for all retired people, police, military, fixed income amd more.
After watching this I still prefer Galco over all of these , either because of cost or quality . Galco is the best bang for your buck this side of non-custom shoulder rigs . In my opinion that is .
