One of my favorites. I go with the gold speckles. They are money around structures and bridges. Will catch most species inshore. Got a 30" Tarpon on one a couple of weeks ago.
Vudu is my personal favorite arti shrimp, but I’ve got more snook on DOA shrimp than any other lure. The color you’re fishing with is one of my favorites, I believe it is glow over new penny.
Random question...you ever actually use that push pole?? Just got a gheenoe for the 1st time and not sure if I should pony up for one. You seem to be pretty successful without.
Hammering the little guys...beautiful morning with nice number of fish. A little squirt of some good ol stinky procure shrimp gel might have made it even better!!!
That is a 306 smoke DOA SHRIMP, they also have a 321 copper crush that is similar. Love DOA SHRIMP. I crush all over Tampa bay with them its a definite need in the winter months.
Don’t know you on a personal level but I hope everything is all good man! Started watching your channel a few months ago and noticed you hadn’t posted in awhile. 🤙🏻
Are you fishing in the Indian river lagoon? If so what part, I’m going down there with my skiff and want to know if it’s good fishing the part down my Sebastian inlet. Also what baits, I want to catch snook, bc I’m in northeast Florida and not much snook here. Anyone have advice?
I fish the indian river in stuart florida for snook and jack. It is VERY good around here and at 7pm everyday I go out and throw at schools being blown up with topwaters but other lures like swimbaits and shrimp are good too.
Not sure if you've noticed but you have had a lot of hook ups in your videos while pausing and adjusting your trolling motor. May want to develop a pause in your retrieve here and there
Now that's how to beat boredom ! They kept ya busy ! I really liked the canoe set up it looked wider what brand is it and what's the size ? It seemed pretty stable . Great video 👍🏼
Hey man I’m trying to find that video I saw a while back where someone was giving you tips on how to fight a big fish under a dock. I recently got cut off twice because I had my drag locked and think I was way under gunned using a 10lb and 20lb braid setup. Any chance you can direct me to that video? Thanks
I use that here in Texas and only that. I throw the all clear natural looking one and it gets smashed. Turned a few down south lure guys over to the doa.
I think the first couple fish were caught on 1 shrimp and the rest were caught on the shrimp I showed at the end. I'd guess each shrimp could handle 10-20 fish.
You cant fish doa in tournaments.....because of "The Unfair Advantage" haha little joke there. Love doa but I like the shad tail figi chicken with chartreuse tail. Water where I fish is rarely clear and it seems to work better than other colors. Maybe I dont work the shrimp correctly but just never have much luck then switch to the small shad tail and catch sea trout fast and I can cast.
Yea I think overall the DOA makes a damn good shrimp but I have also had good success on the VuDu shrimp as well. And also Live Target makes prob the most realistic shrimp out there and they are deadly. If you can find them that is😎👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
DOA shrimp is a classic! You should check out vudu shrimp I like them alot, there presentation is much better in my opinion I do well with there here in tampa bay area.
Thanks for the info on the snook. I live on the Mississippi coast, 6 miles south is the Louisiana marsh. We don't have snook plenty redfish and trout, both drums and pretty good eating. The snook look like a blast. DOAs, VuDu, and TKO shrimp are some of our favorites. The grey Gulp 4 inch mullet will sadly catch anything.
I guess I should've specified on the Gulf coast of south to mid Florida. Every state is different when it comes to size and seasons of fish and you should still check with local wildlife officials and keep up with state regulations as well. Better safe than sorry.
Snook are very good eating once thought to be a trash fish and nicknamed soap fish it is horrible if you leave the skin on while cooking which was common practice in the old days so make sure you remove the skin from your fillets when cleaning after that preparation is a matter of taste but my personal favorite is a pan with a little olive oil and season with Everglades Heat 😎
