Who is Una and why is she so popular on silver bars? I rather buy an Una bar rather then the rather ghayish Sunshine Mercury bar. CA sales tax exemption that kicks in at $2,000 or more in a single transaction punishes people that can't afford to spend $2,000 at one time and are forced to pay 10+% sales tax charge if the metals are shipped to them. One way to avoid paying the sales tax is to find a seller that will store/box the order until the buyer accumulate precious metals purchases to reach $2,000 and then take delivery thus avoiding paying sales tax. Pretty hard to beat 10% return by not taking immediate delivery.

Coin huskers will do that. I’m guessing you’d pay them a deposit at least as you go? If price tanks and you back out of the deal they got somewhat screwed tho

@@JFEnterprize Minot Coin and Bullion can do it too. SD Bullion and I think JM Bullion can do it by "vaulting" your purchases for a while and then those items can become sales tax free as some point and then you tell them to sent your vaulted items to you, dodging the sales tax. Those two might charge a small fee vaulting your purchases.

@@JFEnterprizeAt SD Bullion the first three months of storage is free. You buy the precios metals and have them immediately vault the purchase. Wait a few weeks then have them ship it to you, thus avoiding sales tax on the precious metals. You will have to pay them to ship it to you and pay any sales tax for the shipping charge. SD Bullion: Does the customer pay taxes on their metals when metals are shipped to them from the Depository? A: No, tax would only be applied to metals at the time of purchase; if the metals are shipped to a state that taxes precious metals. However, SD Depository may be required to collect sales tax on the shipping charges to the customer.

That's just wrong wrong wrong to get those una bars in anything but pristine condition! Even Louie has to buy at $32 an ounce at times. But at least he is buying.

Recently I was looking at buying copper bullion and I realized something. Having a few copper rounds might be nice supplement if you intend to use metals for barter. Using copper as "change" to break down silver doesn't sound too unreasonable to me, what do you think?

I'm not in the "silver to $1000" group. No need for copper. But stack the commodity if you like. Copper pennies will not be getting any cheaper. Nickels a MUCH better alternative that can be bought for a nickel and contain 75% copper : )

Monument has a deal for $10 face value of junk silver at spot…limit one per household…I have a business account with them so no tax on my purchase

Happy Independence Day. We are celebrating another year of freedom, on our way to the big 250. I am not so happy with the Supreme Court basically installing a kingship over us and i hope they rethink that before some future president decides to test the limits of "presidential immunity" from prosecution. In the meantime, like you i wish for a return to the days of 15-to-1 ... or, in celebration of the old 16-to-1 Mine in Alleghany, California, at least 16-to-1. We shall see.

@@Eli-qr9hc they (or someone with authority) need to find a fix for it. It hasn’t gone away and it needs to. Personally I think municipalities and even states should lose (temporarily until fixed) a degree of home rule if they tolerate and/or encourage double standards in the law.

Presidential immunity = Kingship All we can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst at this point in which bullion is a huge part of being prepared for the collapse .

Actually they are the ones upholding the constitution. Putting the breaks on the democrat’s moves to persecute political opponents and just make up and do whatever they want. Biden using taxpayer money to pay off personal debt is just one. Thank goodness we have them.

I have to disagree with you. The SC didn't grant blanket immunity to anyone in the Presidency. I do think the Presidency has abused the Constitution and laws with a prime example being Obama drone striking US citizens, also their is the Patriot Act but please don't get me going. Ultimately Congress (the same Congress that gladly punted legislating under Chevron, refuses to pass a budget and can't be bothered to cut pork) needs to get off it's collective a$$ along with the courts applying the law properly to hold whomever accountable. But, it's fair to say that governmental figures reasonably carrying out their duties (drone striking USC's is not) should be entitled to a degree of immunity. I'm open to you presenting a coherent argument though that the SC was wrong in their decision this week.
