That’s a nice combination. I have a CubeControls GT Pro Zero wireless. Mostly though, I use Momo wheels. Mod 26, Mod 28 Mod31. No button plate no paddles. Few years ago I got really burned out on racing cars with paddle shifters (mostly GT3 cars.) Today I use a Pro Sim H pattern and a verity of SQs. I love the art of heal and toe.
No way man, I got the same thing last week! Our rigs will be very similar. Only I will probably settle for Momo round rim which I wll order next week as I want to initially focus on rally and drift : )
So I'm looking into simucube pro 2. & The wheel is what I'm having the hardest time figuring out what way to go .& The kicker is I do GT3/4 & Nascar so I'm probably looking at needing/wanting two different wheels.. so I'm on the hunt.& To answer your question I think I want all ready built.i don't want to build & break something at this price point.
NASCAR makes it trickier. Honestly I’d probably look at 2 separate wheels, you wouldn’t want to be constantly swapping the wheel plate and wheel. It’s not really meant for constant changing.
Do you experience any lag or mis-shifts with this button box? Also, it looks like the shifter paddles are quite close to the back of the wheel grips. Do you mind measuring the distance from the paddle to the back of the grips? Any issues with the buttons or rotaries now that you've had it for awhile now?
No issues with shifts. There’s exactly one inch of gap if you measure the depth gap between furthest part of wheel grip to the horizontal plane of the paddle. This isn’t the effective gap as your finger tips will curl around the grip. I don’t think it needs modification but if you wanted to create additional gap you could add spacers to the paddle mounting very easily - I show these on the package contents section of video
Buttons and rotaries are good. Wheel was exposed to some sunlight and the rubber orings on the funky switches are basically dried but those are easy to replace
got the same wheel plate and my left shifter is starting to squeak after just a few hours of use. I’ll try some PTFE dry lubricant but wondering if you have experienced similar issues.
