As you're reviewing my husband is looking at me, then over at my skincare counter and back at me and says, "oh no your not easily influenced. " My response it's not that I'm easily influenced it's that the products you recommend actually work! Lol so thank you ❤
i agree with you! i have never heard of some of these brands until i came across james' channel and it has changed my skincare game! go 'head and get yo skincare girlllll hahaaa!
James, I had mild eczema for 30 years. Copper tripeptide serum changed that. I've been eczema free for 20 years. I know rosacea is different, but for what it's worth, don't EVER discontinue use of copper serum.
Totally agreed! Even if James only mention a product briefly (like the Ample:n Ceramide for example) and it totally works for my skin, it has become my go-to serum for my skin barrier 👏
If you want to say "Merry Christmas!", just say "Merry Christmas!" and be done with it. Don't add the "if you don't celebrate anything" line, because you don't need to excuse yourself for having good thoughts. Those who celebrate, celebrate - they read, take your words in, and are grateful. Those who don't celebrate, don't celebrate - they pass by, read and move on. I don't see any Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim, Wicca or whatever, sharing greeting and wishings related to the celebrations and believes specific to their religion... only to finish it with the "excuse me world for having a religion" 🙄 self-demeaning attitude. If you believe in something, stand with your spine upright in your belief. Don't worry, nobody will get offended. They are all busy with their lives. 🙏
I recently got the Illiyoon ceramide ato lotion during a a sale and can vouch for how well it works. Within two weeks of once a day use it made my crusty-dry-Popeye's biscuit hands baby soft, to the point that I no longer feel the typical raised layer of scarred skin I'd normally have. I wish I had this when I used to work food service because the cleaning chemicals and gloves both did a number on my hands and forearms. Had to get me a second bottle, kind of afraid to use it on the rest of the body because if it made my butt as smooth as my hands are now I'd slide off the toilet seat like a well-moisturized mistake.
the rebranding from the ordinary is really not something i expected but i have to say im very impressed with their multifunctional products coming out now. the barrier serum feels somehow instantly calming to my skin in a way ive never experienced really. also totally agree about the two prequel products. the moisturizer is the softest ive ever used while still being so nourishing. thanks for the long video james! you are the skinfluencer i trust the most! when you like a product, i do too
Found the Experiment serum from you about a year or so ago and so in love with it still! Im sensitive to hyalauronic acid I've found and the Super Saturated serum absolutely saved my skin. Gonna try that Prequel cleanser too as I've heard great things about it and I'm a dry skin girl.
James, have you tried Beekman’s body care products? I love the Sunshine Scrub and the Body Serum! So wonderful! I’m so glad you found Beekman. I love their stuff.
Purchased the prequel glenser and their new vitamin c cream…only on week 1 of using it but they are nice on my skin, when I use them. Love that it doesn’t have any “smells” and the vitamin c doesn’t irritate my skin AT ALL!!
I've never heard anyone else talk about Slurp Labratories! I've been using the Niacid for the past few years and it makes my skin so plump and hydrated, and has really soothed my PIE.
Some of my favs I’ve started this year was I’m From Rice serum, Make p:rem Safe Me cream, and the ordinarys retinoid emulsion 🫶 Loved your channel for years, I started skincare after watching you talk about the innisfree green tea line ❤ Happy holidays and thanks for you list of favs as always 😌
Thank you James, that was an amazing informative video I love it! I'm excited to try some of the Peptides that you were speaking of. I'm probably the only one who hasn't tried the Glow recipes pomegranate or watermelon. Their number one on my list. I would want to work for SpaceNK if I were an influencer too. Your brand trip with Robert looked amazing 🤌! Happy Christmas ❤🌲❤️
Hey James, was wondering how you’re feeling about the Make Serum Weight Cleanser versus the Prequel one? I’ve been using the Make and was curious if I should try the Prequel ^_^ Thanks in advance!!
Hello can you please tell me what laser you use for rosacea? I have had two BBL laser treatments done and absolutely zero results. I want to try the V beam but don’t know if it’s going to be another fail. Thank you
"This smells like a young teacher who has a lot of money." "Or a book that's been left in the men's locker room!" 😂😂 "I don't know, go and sniff it! I don't have time for this!"--James Welsh 🤣🤣🤣
I can't believe ppl ask you why your nose or skin is so red! Thats so rude! If their skin was perfect they probably wouldn't be watching the channel. Ive never seen anything wrong with your skin. Its beautiful!
Love your recs❤- but you won’t ever catch me using naturium! Especially since Susan Yara’s “apology” has since proved to be even more lies with the sale of the brand
I have bee haunted by those 472-in-one products too🤣🤣 "Its your shampoo, conditioner, face wash, body wash, moisturizer, face cream, cuticle oil, morning coffee, motor oil, and dishwash ALL IN ONE!!"
So happy to see Beekman 1802 introduced on your channel. They’ve been a small cult classic brand for the past few years! Just awarded #1 skincare brand in Ulta
I get so frustrated with skincare because fragrance, niacinamide, and HA are in everything. Unfortunately my extremely reactive, sensitive, rosacea skin doesn’t play well with the ingredients. I wish companies would do two lines. Fragrance and fragrance free. Here is hoping 2024 will see more fragrance free products. I did order the Prequel skincare. I am so excited to try it.
Thank you! I thought I was nuts when I thought niacinimide was causing issues! And yes, it became a buzz product and the companies put it EVERYWHERE 🤷♀️. Now I need to look into the HA as reactive...
Yeessss!! So honored to make your best of 2023 list 🥹 and excited to try the Prequel items and Naturium lippies (and I love my Saltair body wash). The Center is on a roll with all their innovation. Happy holidays James (from one uber expressive person to another). You’re such a gift to RU-vid 🎁 😘🎄
I have to say your rosacea has clearly improved a LOT with whatever skincare regimen you’re currently on! i bet you must feel so much more comfortable!! thanks for all the laughs & advice through the year, i appreciate you!
It’s the laser therapy for rosacea. I tried the bbl laser for rosacea but it did absolutely nothing and for $700 that’s pretty disappointing 😞. I’m going to try the Vbeam which is supposed to be the gold standard laser for rosacea and broken capillaries and it’s also cheaper than the bbl I had done so who knows
I have to back up the LED mask. I only have a project E, much cheaper, mask. But the NOTICEABLE DIFFERENCE after a week of use in terms of oil, even fine lines, pore size, is just amazing. Totally recommend also.
Hmmm I’m interested now. What age do you think is good to start using it at? Or is it one of theee things that you would say any age can benefit from? 😅 I’m 23 and currently working on building an anti-aging routine into my skincare routine
Excited to try Prequel! I have my eye on their new Vit C. Have you tried any Stratia products? I love their Interface Peptide Cream. They’ve really packed a ton of great stuff in it! All of their products are excellent.
I am so glad you love the Beekman toner spray. I picked that up over a month ago to help with the dry winter air as well as help my skin not freak and peel from starting tret (along with spironolactone) for my hormonal acne. I have gotten compliments on my skin glowing even with my acne on my chin/cheeks. Def going to be a staple, I hope it doesn’t sell out now!
I also love that trash fake grape of the gummy bear flavor. The closest to candy I get in my boring ass life is applying that and taking my cherry flavored b12 before bed.
Just started this video, and I have to say I love Beekman!!!! The milkshake is a must, best hydrating toner spray I’ve ever used! I also love oh-Mega milk, it’s so beautiful on the skin and I can actually feel it moisturizing my super dry skin. SO happy to see them in this video! 💛
Have you tried La Roche Posay Cicaplast for hands? I use that along with their Lipikar triple repair cream. I'm no hand cream expert but I've tried dozens, and this combo has worked the best for me. Much better than some more expensive hand creams including L'Occitane and Kiels.
I love Aestura Atobarrier 365 cream and upon skinfluencer recommendations got the Iliyoon Atobarrier cream because I was down to try a more affordable version of my favorite moisturizer. Unfortunately it broke me out, small bumps all over. I then looked up that a lot of people have had that experience with the Iliyoon one and not the Aestura one.
I was FINALLY able to order the Prequel Gleanser! I got a notification that it was back in stock this morning and I snagged it! Also, my husband says "I love you but stop making her buy stuff" 😂 You're the reason he even started a skincare routine to begin with and he's so happy so thank you! ❤
Such a shame as not all of these (e.g. Prequel) are not available in UK. I follow American influences, but I enjoy following you and other Brits because I hope you use skin care/make up that is available in the UK. I understand you have a lot of American viewers. But ...
The Kosas deodorant is such an underrated holy grail - I've never seen any bigger influencers mention it before! I have sensitive skin and the fragrance-free version is great for me - I've used it on very hot holidays and it still worked great
Oh man, I finally bought the Laneige Lip Mask and was so excited to use it; however, shortly after I started using it, it left my lips burning, red and actually gave me blisters.😩 I do have very sensitive skin and was having a allergic reaction to it, which is such a bummer. I was so looking forward to trying all the different flavors. Not sure exactly what ingredients in it that I'm allergic to, but I still would want to try other products of theirs, I just have to remember to read the label before I buy next time.🙂
I would love to see more fragrance reviews from you, just descriptions that no one else gets but then they kinda make sense when you smell them 😂Like the fragrance episode from the Double Cleanse Podcast! Merry Christmas!🎄
excuse me sir have you ever tried the Biore UV aqua rich watery essence/SPF 50+PA++++ I heard about it from a mua influencer and it works amazing and doesn't pil Even tho I use a a wash off cleanser then micellar water and two serums and face theory super gel Moisturizer and an eye cream underneath it and a butt load of makeup on top it has no white cast and it feels like nourishing on the skin as well.
My mom is OBSESSED with Beekman lol she has almost all their products, whether it’s laundry items, skincare, etc. lmao but I never cared about it until you mentioned it cause I was worried it would irritate me.
@@beekman1802skincareyou are so nice responding to everyone! I just subscribed to your channel! I’m a skincare fanatic and I’m going to try your products! I watched another channel that got your advent calendar and it was SO CUTE! 💛💛💛
I'm in love with the ordinary's skin barrier serum too! I only use it in the morning but I think I'm going to start using it at night. I'm also in love with all of glow recipe's stuff but it's so expensive! 😢
Agreed on Glow Recipe. And they never have any really REALLY good sales!! Like... One of my fave splurge skincare products is the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud mask. But I only buy it when it's on a steep discount & I found it for $30 just last week [VS $60]. And it lasts me a year! But w/ Glow Recipe... I know their products won't last me so long that the high price tag is genuinely worth it. RIP
Per your recommendation in a previous video, I ordered Prequel cleanser, and I agree that it is very alluring, soft, gentle, and feels luxurious. Btw it does remove makeup quite well. Thank you for suggesting it. It is going to last me quite a while.
FYI: the entire k-18 line is stuffed with gluten rich ingredients! So those of us with gluten intolerance or celiac disease, just beware and avoid it! Makes your hair feel nice immediately but causes fallout and breakage a couple days later. 😢😢 great product otherwise. I just know a lot of people forget to check hair care and skin care for those things and can sometimes not be an obvious thought since the damage is delayed in presentation 🙃
Out of curiosity how does that work? I would have thought that seeing you’re (hopefully) not eating your beauty products, gluten wouldn’t present a problem for a topical product?
@@jesseo8212 Hi! A lot of allergies don't need to be ingested to cause a reaction. Allergens can be inhaled, ingested, seep through the skin, or entered in blood vessels. I'd assume that they would get a more localized reaction, so anywhere the product has touched, rather than an intestinal reaction.
@@KayteeT Yep I totally understand that for many allergies other types of exposure outside of ingestion can trigger an allergic reaction but I’m still not sure I understand how an autoimmune condition like coeliac disease which affects the small intestine would have any bearing on topical gluten exposure? Unless it just in general that gluten can cause hair damage / breakage in general, not just those with a gluten sensitivity?
@@jesseo8212 From my understanding, celiac disease can have both autoimmune and allergic responses. I’m not sure though how gluten is used in skincare and how it can affect those without gluten sensitivities.
@@jesseo8212 An IgE reaction is an IgE reaction. It makes most sense that it'd be primarily observed in the small intestine, since gluten is almost exclusively in food & because of the damage the inflammation causes to the villae, but... It doesn't mean gluten reactions stop at the gut. I imagine it varies from person to person based on the severity of their individual case. Also, high protein hair products can DEFINITELY cause breakage when used more than once or twice a week! I learned that the hard way. 😭
Same. I have also been trying to get hold of their Gleanser for some time (here in the UK) & haven't had any luck so far... it's very frustrating to hear how amazing this product is (from other people) & and can not try it yourself 🫤
I’ve never been very good at picking skincare for myself and often follow trends however watching your channel has opened up so much more knowledge for me to actually look properly into my skincare and I’ve tried a good few products you’ve recommended with great results! Not only that but i now know what to avoid for my skin 😊
Beekman calls themselves cruelty free without giving any details. Goat milk like all mammalians is produced after pregnancy and birth, what happens to all the baby goats on their farms? Do they have a no kill policy? Do they even allow the kids to be fed by their mums until they are weaned off? So little infoon their site about how the farms operate yet their entire brand is selling the ‘kindness’ image =/
Hi there! The goats on our farm are all well taken care of by Farmer John - they are very well loved and cared for and are never killed. To keep up with demand, we source our goat milk from various sustainable farms around the states and we are proudly cruelty-free. 💛
I’m using the Illiyoon and it’s so LARGE! It was such a bargain price that I couldn’t believe it (sale), so I got it and wow it’s enormous. I don’t know how long it will take me to finish this 😂 Biggest bottle of moisturizer I’ve EVER had and a really nice formula. One of the best I’ve used, the hype is definitely there. My skin is oily and combo but it doesn’t feel oily or greasy or heavy at all. It sinks right in! Amazing.
Can you suggest something for day to day that's easy to find in all parts of the world? I have combo skin, and keep finding myself buying stuff that I end up not liking, like most of the stuff even the SPF leaves my face like I just dumbed it in to barrel of oils. I'm looking for cheaper ones tho, cleaner, moisturiser/face cream and maybe some combo serums. I would be so appreciative for this
James please could you review the Beauty Formulas brand that you buy from Bodycare here in the UK? It's BY FAR the most affordable skincare on the market and tbh it's all I can afford, but I don't want to start using it if its rubbish. TY
I also love Glow Recipe, I got their Fruit babies set as a gift for my mum for het Birthday to try and her into skincare, especially as Glow Recipe is cute and smells nice so good for people not into skincare. Aestura is one of my fave brands, I loved their cream mist and face cream, very similar to Laneige Cream skin Refiner and the Illiyoon Ato cream.
