I carry a Chris Reeve Sebenza Insingo everyday and use it for everything. I’ve scraped gaskets off car engines with it. Still has a solid lock up and it gets razor sharp.

I don't know if you have seen the old bladeHQ video where they tour CRK and talk with him but after that (and handling a few of his knives), I no longer think they are pricey. They are expensive but the quality and attention to detail justifies the cost imo

I guess we just have different definitions of small. You guys would probably look at the small slipjoints I carry and think they're too small for any practical use, but I carry them with confidence knowing they'll handle anything I need them for. Most of these knives I wouldn't consider very small at all by my personal standards.

This was one of the top WOW shows so far fellas, great work. Heck, I'm not even into small knives, at least folders. I ran an Esee Izula2 for the better part of a year until finding a Survive Knives GSO 2.7 in 20CV. I run them IWB @ 3 or 9 o'clock depending. Then I've got one a them there hidden canyon Benchmades that I'll appendix carry at my 11 if I'm feeling fancy.

For a city guy I always have my compact, zdp manbug in my shirt pocket, and currently a blue Frenzy subject to rotation. The Frenzy is great for big knife carry. Lightweight, slim, but long and fills my hand while being almost lost in my pocket. And I can fully operate it one handed.

As my pocket dump, I am every day carrying the Mandiola Defense Solutions' "C.D.H.K.: Cold Dead Hands Karambit" in the satin finish. An ambitious collaborative design effort by Lad Mandiola and Mike Vellekamp of "V Nives" It's a uniquely different karambit "knife/tool" that's currently in the market. I sometimes use the trainer model as a non-lethal defense tool, when visiting places where bringing in "weapons" are prohibited and frowned upon

I've been carrying the Tops Scandi Trekker daily for a couple years now. Just recently picked up an Armatus Carry kydex sheath for it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a small edc fixed blade!

Current EDC is the Boker Mini Stike in D2 and loving it! Got a 275 paracord triple snake knot lanyard that gives it a great accent. Covered in tape gun right now because I bought it to be my workhorse EDC. Got it from yall and love it!

That's a pretty good mix of knives and price ranges. I like my knives in the 7 to 7 1/2 inch range. I am very pleased with both sizes of the Bugout and in the higher end, I like the CRK Sebenza, Inkosi and Hinderer XM18.

The really need to adjust thier audiobalancing, for some reason its really unpleasent to hear them talk in this video. As if there was way to much bass or deep tones. Glad Im not the only one annoyed by that

I've been carrying a Kershaw Fraxion recently. It's got a 2.75 inch 8cr13mov blade on ball bearings, and a g10/carbon fiber handle, overall weight 1.9 - 2 oz., and it's between $22 and $25 on Blade hq

lil' native with the compression lock was my edc for a few years before I lost it. Haven't been able to find one with the compression lock in stock... I'd still be carrying it today if I hadn't lost it. Perfect knife

Just bought the Anthem Friday. I own a 940-2, Griptilian and mini. Wow incredible took out my favorite S.O.G terminus xr crimson red. That's my baby. But love the anthem.

Explorer plus is a pretty kick ass SAK for edc. I like the in-line Phillips WAY better than the T-handle style and I use the magnifying glass pretty often also.

I carry a Korcraft everyday blade on my keys as my EDC knife, but i also carry 2 leathermans (style ps, Charge tti) and a CRKT pravoke. my key chain knife is my fig-git spinner and I use it to cut small stuff.

The highball was my first “knife-knife” and if you use your right hand and get your middle finger on the pocket clip (it isn’t reversible so has to be right hand) for grip you get actually flick it open one handed with the nail nick even without any kind of momentum if you break it in right

I partially agree, California is not friendly with autos but the CA-legal kalashnikov just looks so strange. Shame the other CA legal auto has a steel I'm not too fond of.

So I tried to buy the SOG ULTRA XR on bladehq and before I can checkout it had sold out. Fast forward 2 weeks to yesterday and I went to a indoor range and they had 4 of each color in stock. I picked it up. Also It was only $103.99. I typically carry a benchmade 940 but I wanted the XR because it sits lower in my pocket.

Man! I just commented how I thought the day Tuesday was Wednesday! And then I miss wow all together! Oh well, I can still say my pocket dump right? Lately I've dropped the Gerber flatiron in D2 for something I never thought I would. I just got the spyderco manix 2 lightweight with translucent blue and CTS BD1N. I was never a huge fan of spyderco knives, just because of the aesthetics, and oh what a fool I was. This knife out of box was the only knife I've ever purchased that was razor sharp on arrival. Hands down the best quality knife I've ever received out of package. But to continue on with my pocket dump(sort of, as this knife doesn't go in my pocket), I always carry my Grohmann no.3 Army with me while I'm doing chores on my acreage. I'll leave it at home when I'm going to town, but asside from that, it's always on my belt.

You should do med knifes, from just sub 3 like par 3 to 3.5 I believe that’s were most carry. Some carry just sub 3 because of laws. All my EDC knifes fit in this size range. Normal EDC: at work par 3 lightweight, weekend 550 Griptilian.

You actually can beat the Benchmade mini Bugout, I went to my local sporting good store to look at one (Benchmade in general) and I saw they had a Benchmade Mini Barrage 585 sitting in the case also priced at $88.97 and I knew it was $128, I had just looked at the website before I left the house and when I asked him to see it I could see the look in his eyes that someone Fu*cked up....I ended up buying it for that price and to be honest I like the looks and feel in the hand better than the Bugout and even though they are both considered drop-point blades the Barrage is a deeper throated blade. Awesome video guys!

When you guys do EDC knives it would be nice to see them in the pocket. How do they look? How much space do they take? Is the clip loose or tight on the pocket? How much space is takes in the pocket, thickness and width? Will the flipper tab scratch up my phone? etc. Great work, I just see these EDC knives and think how is it going to fit in my pocket?

About the Andersson & Copra friction folder (urban husky)...$159 for a friction folder with just sandvik??? I think the price is made on the sheet. Look at a Higonokami with bleu paper steel for the real deal. Made by hand by the last living blacksmith (motosuke nagao) of a long heritage of blacksmiths in Japan. $40,-

Here is my list for Best Small (sub 3") EDC Knives: Ones i own- Kobold, Calmingo, Dapper, Mini Freek, Saibu, Proper, Vantage Pro Small, Dragonfly (H1), Cinder (copper), Cadet (red Alox), Micra (best compact multitool), Armbar-drive , RUIKE S11, CRKT Piet, CJRB Ria (micarta). Other Popular Ones they missed- ZT 0022, The Elko, Tuff light or mini tuff light, Kershuffle, MKM Isonzo, Lundquist Feist, Sketch, and about a dozen others. Small Fixed Blades- Folts Minimalist, Gnome, Mini Scandi, Camp-Lore, Jason Knight Zipper (so want one). But I suppose their selection was ok ;)

Hello love watching wow never seem to get to see it live but have never missed an episode I’m from Scotland and with obvious law restrictions I can’t really have a small edc that isn’t a slip joint ( it hasn’t stopped me though ) lol I was just wandering why you don’t cover ganzo knives I have one and it is one of my favourite knifes that I own although I just received a Crkt m16 o4s so that might change lol but ganzo is a magic lnife for the price and there new stuff is gorgeous can you take a look at some on the next one thanks Sean

Its my first time here on BladeHQ. loved u guys. I am a watch collector and never had a knife of any kind before last week when one of my friends send me couple of folding knives. Started watching youtube videos about knives now. i got BUCK X35 and a BROWNING 354. One thing i noticed while watching hard core knife collectors that they don't talk much about Buck and Browning. don't know why. Any specific reason???

I'm yet to find a better EDC than a Small Sebenza with the Insingo blade. The Insingo blade is what really differentiates it from everything else...edge geometry FTW.

Benchmade omega springs definitely break, especially when you mix ADHD with fidget factor of 9000. I’ve had two 940’s, two bugouts, and a superfreek and they all have broken springs.

Odd I've actually used mine for 20yrs plus and have yet to break a spring, ever..Even my black class Ares from the late 90's still has the original and I used it daily and while deployed for at least 3-4 yrs.

I’ve personally gone through 3 sets of Benchmade’s springs, they usually last 2.5 months. There is a company on Etsy that sells replacement springs. I have had them for over 3 months now and they are as strong as the day i put them in. The company is EDCacord and they ship in a few days, a lot quicker than waiting a month for lifesharp.

Don’t know what you people are doing but I’ve owned/collected them for 15 years & never one issue. I’ve carried the same mini griptilliam for at least 12 years every day for work. No issues.

@roland curtis You are paying for the name, what use cases other that opening a package can you possibly come up with, that can put the quality of that knife to the test.? That is to cash in on fan boy collectors who buys anything with that name on it. Rediculous.

@@xeress I have to disagree. Some people who are small knife people probably use their small knife for the same edc jobs that you and I use our big knives for. I'm not really a small knife guy but some of those little knives can be tough. But yes some knives you just pay for the brand.

I just got a Bugout. The lock kind of grinds against the blade on opening and closing making it somewhat a hassle. Is it a break in issue or something else?

Just got a Ruike P671 CB. Do you even know this chinese brand? I love the carbon scales, the blade is thick and it feels rock solid, I mean it! Only time will tell if it is a well engineered knife, but I think it is a beast of a knife.

Question. Is there an issue with Kershaw flippers coming open in your pocket? Granted mine is a $16 Kershaw Zing, but I had to stop carrying it, and I use it only as a desk knife now. Still a great $16 purchase!

Dang i wish i would have waited 1 more day before buying my benchmade..i was planning to wait til blade show to buy a knife, but checked and saw that it got canceled so went to a local place and bought the super freek yesterday
