Best Solemniser Singapore | Justice of Peace of Solemnisation Singapore 2019 

Please read this if you are considering Joanna Portilla as your solemniser. Short version: She is a good speaker but you might have to deal with stressful delays. Long version: I recently attended a solemnisation where Joanna Portilla was the Justice of Peace. As the video mentioned, she did have great speaking skills, good enunciation with a relaxed pace and tone. What’s not mentioned in this review (which should be a given for any solemniser) is punctuality and attitude. At the wedding I attended, plans for cancelling the solemnisation crossed some minds as the solemniser (Joanna Portilla) was nowhere to be found when the ceremony was about to begin. The undue stress was made worse when several attempts to call her were left unanswered, and no one knew what was going on. She eventually showed up 30 minutes after the ceremony was supposed to start, unapologetic and in no hurry - arguably great skills for a public speaker but not for keeping to a wedding schedule. A single occurrence might not be comment worthy, but another friend recently described a similar experience and we eventually realised it was the same solemniser who showed up late and unapologetic - Joanna Portilla. While Joanna Portilla does have great speaking skills, I do not wish for any couple to have to stress over a missing solemniser on their solemnisation ceremony. This comment is not intended to “cancel” Joanna Portilla, rather, it is to inform others of my first hand experience so we can avoid unwanted situations. So please still consider Joanna Portilla as she is a good speaker, just be aware of what you may possibly encounter.
