Great solo trade-off between Andy and Chuck. They are masters of melody. The atomic clock Gene Hoglan on drums and Steve Digiorgio on the fretless bass. Awesome line-up!

That solo is actually 2 solos The first portion by Andy LaRocque of King Diamond and the second by Chuck In my opinion it’s a master class on how to use 2 guitarists with different styles and make a single solo Plus all of the bass and drum work is top tier musicianship on display

I love how she enjoys the bass. Digiorgio is amazing

the solo section is nuts, especially due to how Gene keeps evolving the drum part underneath (first half is Andy then Chuck takes over at tapping part), it's hard to pick a favorite Death album but this one ranks high as its the only one where Gene Hoglan & Steve Digiorgio overlap (my personal favorite Death drummer & Death bassist) then to boot you have Andy fucking Larocque from King Diamond who is not only an insane guitar player but is an awesome contrast to how Chuck plays...awesome album

I love how you're sporting an Alice In Chains shirt and listen to this particular song. Both AIC and this album by Death drown in chorus on the guitars and I love that. The story of the guitar solo (by Andy LaRoque of Mercyful Fate) is amazing as well. He did it in one take and then immediately did the harmonizing parts after it without listening back once. Off the top of his hat! It really doesn't get any better and it is probably my favorite guitar solo in any genre.

You'll see what experience is to listen their albums as a whole. They haven't done any concept albums stricte but each one is a complete journey I could say. Cheers!

You have to listen the Atheist album Unquestionable Presence, these guys are geniuses.

I agree, it's also my fav off that album, though it's REALLY hard to choose because every song is great. The solo trade-offs on this one are particularly amazing. I've revisited this album many times every year since it came out 30 years ago. Never get tired of it.

hey i remember you did videos so many years ago with another girl. i thought this channel was out of updates. this is a powerful and beautiful hidden gem. heavy metal is full of stuff like this. i love the vibe of the armonized guitars i think they're in fourths or fifths

Awesome reaction! When I heard this album in -93 I was so blown away! Like what the actual f*** just happened?! Sound of Perseverance gave me same feelings in 1998. Amazing album, still. The best there is. Chuck was so unique.

Try to listen to the old albums so you can see the evolution of the band (scream bloody gore 1987, leprosy 1988, spitual healing 1990, human 1991) from death metal to progressive death metal ​
