That's thanks to the X pipe. The X pipe mixes the exhaust pipes and makes it sound like 8 cylinders instead of 4 (stock and non X pipe custom exhaust sound a bit like a Subaru.. (same with F10 M5 stock exhaust sound)
This setup is absolutely incredible! A true masterpiece! Literally as quiet as an EV with valves closed and when they are open, you get that monstrous S63 roaring, which is beautiful! The engineering behind this is fascinating
Sounds fantastic. I have a x5 m50i catless downpipes, resonator delete and factory m valved mufflers. No where near as quiet even when valves closed. Nice work.
Just saw a video of the m4 before this one.... the guy was doing donuts while the car sounded like a corolla.... Then he opens the exhaust and its sounds like a mclaren f1.... The technology and ability of these cars make me impressed they cost $90k even and not like $200k... Pagani doesn't even do this or have this performance man....

Appreciate the effort. Sounds awesome. Valves closed sounds pretty restricted, would be super curious to see open/closed dyno numbers. Also, have you guys thought of a “mid mode?” Like if you want to drive around and hear the car but not have to be in full neighbor hate “look at me” attack mode… just a thought. Like maybe a 1/4 open or 1/8 open.
Finally someone who sees what I see. What is with those thin walled exhaust tips (why)? They look so cheezy cheap and you barely can see them if your directly behind the car. All that concentration on the sound and no attention on the tips just makes no sense to me!
@@kevinclark1482 i think it is because they have the 4.0 outlet. But if they used the 3.0 it would look better because it would look like the stock tips
