Even if it's no F, the second gen IS350 still slaps from a dig thanks to that aggressive diff. It pulls way better than the 3rd gen since 2nd was set up to be more sportier vs the 3rds greater comfort focus
I have to get this setup on my 350 next summer.. putting money aside from now. Been searching around for a while now and THIS IS IT. Period. Props bro!
Really like how chill you are bro. Not coming off with over the top intros. You really just eased into it and it feels very natural. Keep going bro! Love the content!
Ain’t gone lie your setup sounds amazing and I can see why ppl say it sound like a v8. The idle is pretty deep. Ppl stay saying I have a turbo on mine because of the air intake induction noises it makes lol
The drone is bearable. I’ve made long road trips with it and was fine but some ppl might want to throw a muffler on with it. You’ll still keep the tone but it’ll quiet down some more.
Yes dude! This sounds so good. But how are you able to downshift into 1st going that fast? In my 350 I basically have to be stopped to downshift into 1st
As long as I’m at 30 mph or lower I can downshift into 1st. You wanna try and match the RPM’s as well to put less stress on the engine/trans but you should be around less then 30mph.
Yessir I have owned 2 Lexus is models the last two years and I love it, but this sounds amazing deeper than mine I’m running a obx catless mid pipe and a afe power takeda exhaust system 🔥
Just subscribed! Awesome video and amazing sound on the IS 350! I have the same color IS 250 working to upgrade to a 350 but I want the same color lol.
Hey man, I’ve been watching your videos on RU-vid, I love your car and everything you did on it. I’m planning to buy a is350 f sport. Please can you tell me what setup you did on your Is?
What x pipe do you have and how is it laid out, from what i understand is, stock headers to custom single 2.5 pipe to twin resonators to xpipe and then custom pipes to custom mufflers
If you don’t mind me asking, where did you place the flow fx’s? I’ve heard placing them farther under the vehicle makes them deeper and sound much better than putting them near the back bumper/tips
I did but on my old phone. I’ll see if I can find it but I’m the meantime I hope this helps. HEADERS to PRIMARY CATS to SECONDARY CAT DELETE to Xpipe to RESONATORS to MUFFLER DELETE to exit
Can I go with any x pipe? or what specific pipe you got? I wanna do this exhaust setup on a GS350 (which I don't have YET, gotta speak it into existence 😏) Edit: I found another video that linked an x pipe on Amazon
Damn this sounds incredible! You're in MD, what shop did this? I'm up in Philly and this is the exact sound I want on my 350. Only thing I think I'll do different is get Varex mufflers, I have the convertible so I might want it to quiet down for road trips 😅
Couple years late but can you comment the link of each part or just the website or where u bought Everything from ,your exhaust is the prefect set up i would like get a general idea of price and inventory
Don’t have the exact resonator model but the shop said any Flowmaster or Magna flow will do. Show the shop the tone your looking for and they’ll be able to help you better
I'm in love with this set up bro, I wanna do the same for mine but i have a quick question, after the x-pipe, do the pipes run straight back and have one resonator on each side? Or does it merge back to one pipe and go through one resonator like it did stock?
sounds nice man🔥, is the x pipe the long style ones or the short ones? bc magnaflow has a short x pipe but then there’s also the ones with longer pipes
Do you know what the resonator is called and where to find it? Also, which X-pipe did you use. I have seen some costly ones and really cheap ones, and I expect they may sound different, so I was wondering if you remember which x-pipe or around how much you spent on it. Thanks, Chris!
resonators are flow master and are commonly carried by most exhaust shops along w/ magna flow. The shop already had the Pipe but any one should do. Talk to a trusted shop in your area to get a better more thorough explanation tho. I will be posting a clearer video with the car on a lift so you guys can see everything very soon.
@@almightyotto Good shit. I j got my 2014 GS 350 AWD a few weeks ago. I painted the wheels black and the calipers red. Looks really good already. It's got a navy blue exterior and a peanut butter interior, which I love. I'm gonna wrap the outside in the new Lexus color, Incognito, though and I'm getting a tint next week. Also, I got a black spoiler for it. It's gonna look and sound so good. It already has an X-pipe but I hear it's restrictive. Still, stock cold starts have the littlest pops so I'm excited to make it louder to hear them better. Thanks for getting me into Lexus Chris!
@@almightyotto Might get some valved mufflers in combo with an x-pipe and maybe a resonator or just a muffler. What do u think about muffler instead of resonator in the middle?
Resonators will help to clean up some of the extra rasp while the muffler will reduce the volume some. They both kinda do the same thing but one is more effective then the other for the different things so they work best in combo. If you don’t mind the raspiness then do muffler but if you want it to be loud then add the resonators. Do both and it’ll be very balanced
@@almightyotto So do you think I should go to a shop and ask them for some resonators or x-pipes they would suggest or get ones off amazon or some other online place?
Yo Otto, I’m bout to get a similar setup: Xpipe, borla mufflers but with a Resonator delete. How much of a difference do you think it will sound with a resonator delete. Do you also know if it will affect the power too?
It’s gonna be a little more raspy and loud for sure. You’ll also have less back pressure so it may make a little less power but it won’t really be anything noticeable
bro i love ur set up.. flowmaster resonator 2.50 in. Offset In / 2.50 in. Offset Out?? and can u post the link for the x pipe i cant seem to find it bro
Car sounds sick man, I have a 2009 is350 and its basically straight piped and I think I know what you mean by that ugly raspy sound. its dummy loud and i cant hear shit in the cab! is there anyway you could tell me what type of flowmaster resonators you have? Again love the car and youve got yourself a new sub.
I’ve been looking for the exact model number for the resonator and the shop said it’s just a common Flowmaster oval shaped resonators. Magnaflow is basically the same as well but, any resonators will do the job to clean up the raspiness from the note
Quick question did you have to get the custom exhaust or did you want to ? There are ppl saying when I have a muffler delete I have to get a pipe to keep it from breaking down
Yooooo Boss that shit is fine afffff!!!! My car was totaled last Friday unfortunately and I’m the market for another car... is350 goddam I should of gotten this first!!! My question is what did you do to make the car sound like that from the front? (Near the Intro) sounds like a whine like those Hellcats 🥶🥶🥶 leemme know!!! Def gonna buy an is350 when there’s an opportunity in the market
The older 2nd gens IS (07-12) are a little faster. The new GS’s are pretty much the same but a bigger sedan so it’s up to you. I’m not too familiar with the older ones
