They confirmed on the discord weekly Q&A that Cassandra Nova will NOT be in the spotlight cache nor will she be in future caches. Instead her spot will be replaced with another series 4/5 card that at the time was yet to be determined Edit: After going back to the Q&A they specified she won’t be featured. So post Diner event she most likely will be obtainable through the random 4/5 card slot and/or the token shop
If shes not in future caches then if miss deadpools diner you'll never get her? I doubt it, no way you couldn't randomly get her in the mystery 4/5 slot or tokens.
@@yugh2 they implied that you have to buy her with tokens after the event is over. Hopefully they would just give her away for free after a certain period of time like Jane Foster from Nexus Events
@@allanberche7902 that makes sense. Maybe if they run the diner again she'll be a reward alongside another new card. It could help f2p with acquisition if they ran it Maybe every other month
Alex your Hulkling Blob example does actually work. Blob gains up to 15 power, not power up the 15. For example, a peak-ed blob goes to 21 power. Hulking with Blob’s text should go up to 26+ power (if you have the power in your deck to get there)
Copycat seems fantastic. The information you get from cable is really useful, now imagine getting that without even playing a card. Definitely my most anticipated card next month
8:33 I imagine this will work like Spider Ham or Red Hulk, where Copycat actively steals the card's text in a not-so-subtle way. If you know what I mean 😉
@@shady-mx9qg maybe they meant the uniqueness of the card, given no other card does what they do (copycat, Cassandra nova) +And they are pretty much irreplaceable
I was hyping Copycat when she initially leaked, but I think we've gotten to the point where there may just not be space for her in most decks. Spider Ham barely sees play these days, and Copycat basically trades the power of Ham hitting something they already drew for you getting their card's effect - which could be good or could be mediocre. Certainly Copycat is a risk to play against some decks, because their cards could generate a bunch of trash on your board or could destroy your own cards or could hit Electro and be detrimental if you need to play multiple cards. The same way we saw Morph sneak into the meta this past month, we may see Copycat sneak in as a tech choice against "good cards" decks that basically guarantee you hit something beneficial to you.
I'd love for Cassandra Nova to be in the Diner mode especially if it's easier to pull. Right now my once a month key pull is looking at Thanos and Cull Obsidian longingly. I like shooting for caches that contain mostly cards I don't have. Luckily it has played out once a month so far.
Hulkling isn't going to be a plug and play 6 drop like Red Hulk was. BUT I think he'll be a natural inclusion in Hela and Black Knight style decks where you want a bunch of big cards anyway, and with a little added surprise potential
Most of the cards seem quite interesting and unique. It is a pity most of the players will have resources to enjoy only couple of them. The economy of this game is truly alwful, worse even than MTG Arena and it has been the low bar for years.
A good comparison to Hulkling is Valentina, and looking at how she turned out with all the randomness, I'm also not that impressed with Emperor Hulkling
On the Marvel Snap discord, they said (in a team answer) that Cassandra Nova will not be in the Spotlight cache that week and there will instead be another S4/5 card.
My problem with Hulkling is that fact he himself is a 6 drop. Yeah every once in a while you might get a good roll of a 6-11 Doctor Doom, but more often than not, it's not going to be anything like that. You might as well add the 6 drop card that works best for the deck you're using instead of relying on Hulkling's randomness. As you said, he's a weaker Magneto or slightly buffer Sasquatch or Onslaught in some good outcomes. But if you benefit from getting like an Arnim Zola or Onslaught, might as well just run actual Arnim Zola or Onslaught because it benefits your deck and they are 6 drops either way. Now if he was a 4 drop or 5 drop. Now we're talking a different story. Because now you're getting the benefit of the effect of a 6 drop card on a cheaper card. Now the risk seems more favorable of getting a 4 or 5 drop Doctor Doom or even a Zola. Obviously you would have to lower that 11 power to something weaker because a 4 or 5 with 11 power and a random 6 drop effect is busted.
i dont understand anyone being anything other than super hyped about marvel boy? Assuming turn 1 and 2 you have dropped 3x1 cost cards or a squirrel girl, turn 3 you drop marvel boy and by the end of the game he has become a 3/14 the pressure alone on your opponent seeing the cards tick up and not knowing exactly which ones are going to go up is going to have people retreating edit: throw it in high evo, misty sunspot and nebula, drop a marvel boy and let them cook
Copycat seems good. Ajax will be combined with Hazmat, it'll be interesting. Cassandra will be the newest annoyance. Hulkling will be very good, despite some ocasional bad rolls.
18:35 😂😂😂 I'ma have to roll this week for the variants alone bruh. I don't care for speed but the variants are amazing. Plus I don't have any for either jeff or ironlad
To be honest September and October cards are going to be a must have cards il save all my keys till then. Spider season then symbiote season I'm looking at that anti venom thinking it's going to like Phoenix Force for symbiote
Alex, I know you don't like cards that rely on RNG, so I'm not shocked that you're not high on Hulking, but I don't think the comparison to Valentina is accurate. A 4/-3 Knull in a non destroy deck is worthless, a 6/11 Knull can be cracked if you just Shang Chi one card. A 6/11 Leader is insane. There are definitely some objectively terrible pulls: Infinaut, Giganto, Destroyer, and Agatha (if she's included), but going through the list of 6-drops, I feel like it's much more favorable for Hulking than it was for Valentina. Plus Second Dinner has given him the weakest spotlight week of the month, so if past is prologue, it means they think he's either really good or at least a card people will really want.
Wait, how should Pixie work? She shuffles costs, there's really only one was to make it work, and that's how it does :) so., I just want to explain why from implementation perspective, it's the only way, with examples, I don't mean no harm ;) 1) 4 cost can get 4 cost from another card - ok, what is supposed to happen in Surfer, where you have 7 3-cost cards? Some cards just get random cost from... somewhere? 2) Your single 6-cost can keep it's cost - sure, so what happens when you play Pixie with one card in deck? It just has no cost and becomes unplayable?
That nerf to bob baffles me because he wasn't that great before but now he's kinda unplayable in anything besides maybe zoo. Wiccan and speed are secret buffs to quicksilver and Domino. But I don't think they're to great. Next month I'm definitely pulling on copycats and the Ajax boxes. I might try for that variant for hope.
I think Hulkling is gonna be busted. Sure, just like in a Loki style deck , you don't know what you'll get with the amount of randomness. Now with Pixie, a Loki, a Hulkling and an Arishem in the deck for instance, it's gonna be hard for the opponent to pinpoint what exactly you are playing.
Savage jab at Zabu at 14:55, but deserved. Even in decks that seem ideal for him, I find myself still just running Psylocke instead. The additional versatility she provides, as well as not being affected by Mobius is well worth only 1 power loss.
The Hydra Bob change is incredibly disappointing. I hope it gets reverted but it probably won't. And it's really lame to see that this is the first "snap" ability when it's such a throw away effect (that might even bug out the game lol). Already expecting them to hype it up in marketing and then act surprised when he has a near 0% playrate. "Wow, now isn't this exciting, the first card to have an ability when a player snaps!" Uh, sure. The old ability to leave a losing location fit the character so much better too, it's like he's joining the winning side like the goofy soldier he is. Super disappointing to see that they're still perfectly content with making Martyr-tier cards.
Loki goes against everything I stand for as a Snap player. I absolutely hate it, and I actively disrespect every player who plays Loki. No fist bumps for you, good sir.
I personally think Hulkling will just exist in decks for the moments he does have the "good text" and people will still have a significant 6-drop counterpart like Red Hulk for when Hulkling is a bust or not drawn. 3 stars is totally fair
I love the way you split out different statistics and ratings per card. Idk why content creators keep rating these spotlight weeks as a whole when they've had Modok, Knull, ect. 10 times already. Most people have some amount of cards in the spotlight each week!
Hydra bob sounds like the dumbest card Ive seen in a while. I guess 1 cost 4 power tho is pretty decent to just get on the board, without a really negative effect. But luckily looks like an easy skip week so I can save up!
Speed‘s ceiling is so low for the condition. I honestly think he will be a 2 star card just like Hulkling and Ajax. I don't know if this is a hot take but all these cards are either too inconsistent, weak or easily counterable.
Ajax needed to be onreveal , you can’t play Luke cage in your own deck which limits your ceiling , and if they play him he gets ruined. Hopefully he gets changed to an on reveal or even an activate
Wiccan text makes no sense. so if you spent every single energy in the game. you get 2 bonus energy at the end of the game....when you don't need energy because the game is over. I don't understand
These ratings make no sense. How does a 2 star card, a 3 star card, and a 4 star card, equal out to 2 star average? That would make it a 3 star average. That math ain't mathing
How dare you do nimrod dirty like that? I challenge you to play one of my favorite decks: Carnage, Grandmaster, Wolverine, Magic, Venom, Deathlok, Shuri, Hobgoblin, Nimrod, Zola, Galactus, Destroyer. Super fun and flexible deck that leaves your opponent guessing your final plays
1 month ago I would have said Emperor Hulkling was good. Now you talked me out of it because your high rolls just aren't that high and your low rolls are pretty mediocre. Emperor Hulkling's real value will be in Conquest where having a different 6 drop every match will make it nearly impossible for your opponent to play around it, but is that better than just having Red Hulk (or something else that synergizes) every game? You can only steal so many cubes with a surprise 6/11 Heimdall.
It's been confirmed in the official Marvel Snap discord that a returning series 4/5 card will be put as a rerun on Cassandra Nova'a slot, we just don't know who.
A Hulkling with Blob text will eat cards until it gains 15 power or over, and then stop. So assuming you have enough power left in your deck, that's 26 minimum.
Hi. Alex. Thanks for video. It would be much better if you say something about variants as well. For instance darkhawk, jeff, Hope variants are good. Loki variant is not good enough.
