Been looking to purchase my first Rolex watches and finding this channel has been invaluable in helping me understand the market and options available. I look forward to your videos, keep up the great content 👍
This is my same thought. I appreciate these videos. Even though I’m in the USA these do help me understand price points and quality behind each price point.
@@thehonestwatchdealer recently found your channel. I just curious would you recommend white gold Daytona oyster flex or a everose gold Daytona oysterflex?
Great video again!! I was kind of sad last night, since the notification I got said the video was set to private - but now it's visable! Keep up the great work! I love this unique format you don't see from other watch companies
Love your content, style and humour. The Rolex service centre you pictured is in West Malling in Kent, just off the M25. I’ve taken my Sea Dweller there twice in person to avoid theft/loss in post. It’s like presenting your child to Social Services as they list all the defects and “damage” from wearing it but they’re very nice people. You feel like an unfit parent when you see their list about your watch!Get it back like new (if you want it that way). Going there instead of St James Square is much less stressful and ho public transport, traffic jams or ULEZ or Sadiq Khan nonsense. It’s a very zen place and where they actually fix them, not St James’s, who send them to Kent just like an AD would.
Think it should read "bears" the crest of the Omani State. I often get these things wrong, it's not important we all know what was meant, just a point of minor detail. Love the videos and your presentation.
Great info Charlie ! Thanks for sharing the story on your tattoos !! I love Rolex's ! But wouldn't get a Rolex tattoo as well ! lol Enjoy your Memorial day weekend !!
Love the Q&A videos Charlie. Question for you. Although you probably haven’t seen it in the flesh yet, which do you prefer between the new panda & the discontinued one. Same question for the black steel one too 👍🏻
Thank you I appreciate it, hope your well. At the moment I prefer the discontinued model but will reserve full judgement for when I have one in hand and can compare side by side 😎🙌🏼
@@thehonestwatchdealer Excellent Charlie! Aside from the changes to how the new one looks, I'm more interested to how the new one will wear as from the pictures it seems to have lost its iconic Daytona curves & is a lot more squared off.
Thanks for the content. Straight forward and very informative, just put 500 quid down last week at my local AD seemed like i will have a good relationship with the guy going forward. Be buying the Ms an engagement ring there in the not so distance future so hopefully that sweetens him up a bit😂
Excellent summary and sound advise……owning any Rolex has a hedge against currency volatility and the added enjoyment of wearability what’s not to like! 👍
@@thehonestwatchdealer ……Keep in mind, if the price of Gold starts to track inflation higher or the U.S dollar losses it’s steam….gold will appreciate and change the cost to manufacture these Rolex watches regardless of anyone’s preference to precious metal. It’s a win…win, you’re absolutely correct 👍.
Thanks as always for the great content. What are your thoughts on a 116520 white dial (I believe you show it at 7:48). This would be my second Daytona but I am thinking from more of an investment perspective. It is the "cleanest" Daytona in my opinion. Thanks again !
Hi Charlie, really enjoying the content. Question: Why do you think, in general, dealers are so poor at replying to enquiries? Whether it's online enquiry form, email, or WhatsApp, I rarely get a response. My last WhatsApp to a dealer was asking his opinion on which was the better value watch out of a two-tone rose Yacht or an SD 4k, with a view to purchase one, and I never heard anything. To me, that's like throwing business away.
Thank you for the message, glad you like the content, really appreciate it! I would imagine it is the sheer volume of messages they get! Chances are it was an accident it got missed which is unfortunate. In regards to your question, SD 4k all the way!
Thanks for answering my question on the white tag Charlie! Is it true that we can also see the back case “teeth”? if there’s no signs of wear marks means not been opened before and safe to say the dial is original ? 😊 Always enjoyed and looking forward to your next video.
Sure my pleasure. That all depends on the watchmaker who has opened it. A true professional with the right equipment would leave no signs of any damage to the caseback but unfortunately this is not always the case.
Great vid, as always! Can you please advise on a DJ 41 roman white dial? Is this a combination to go for at an AD? Will it keep its value in your opinion?
Thanks Peter, much appreciated! As the white dial is an entry level dial it is currently usually sold under list price. If you are looking to wear and enjoy, over the long term it should hold its value 👍
@@thehonestwatchdealer Thank you for your input! Yes, I'll wear that beauty for some time, and then exchange it for something not that entry. Plus, I need to keep a good consistent relationship with my AD 🙃. When I get my next watch from them, I'll pay you a visit!
I really appreciate your content. Indianapolis, Indiana USA. What gold rolex watches would you purchase for long-term investment? All of them are in question... white gold pepsi, all gold root beer, white gold - green dial day-date, rose gold oysterflex sky dweller, and any other combinations (outside of the impossible daytona) that you can think of? I would like your no BS opinion. Thanks, gent! ⌚️
Hi Charlie I hope you & your family are having a lovely weekend together filled with joy happiness kindness love & gratitude, another great honest genuine video? Hope to see you all again soon for another visit to the Luxury Watch company for some banter? Enjoy the rest of your evening. Speak soon Charlie kind regards Mr chatterbox (Karl) 😊
@The Honest Watch Dealer Hi Charlie, Yes, I have had a very positive day? Had a first appointment at a new Rolex Boutique, and it went very well there. presented 6 different Rolex watchers for me to view ? I am 99.9 per cent sure there will offer me the Rolex date just 41 with the mint green it looked stunning on the wrist? I will tell you all about the experience when I see you next so dont forget your ear. Muffs, you will need them ? Hopefully, the next visit will be soon kind regards Karl
@The Honest Watch Dealer Hi Charlie, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. It's been a beautiful sunny day 😎 I have had a positive day in London. I am just on the train back home now. It's been a great day out ? Yes, I have shown interest in 3 different Rolex models? So now I am playing the waiting game ? But I got on very well with Katie, so hopefully, I will be offered a new Rolex Datejust 41 mint green ? 6 to 12 months, she said ? I will not be wereing my new submarine? Until you get me the new submarine, snickered Charlie, so give me a call as soon as you get one in, and I want you to order me a Rubber B strap as we discussed So hopefully I will see you soon ? Enjoy the rest of your evening kind regards Karl
Looking at your website recently I saw that you had a GMT LhD on Jubilee in your inventory, I believe that this may have been the 1st that has passed through LWC? I am Interested in your thoughts on this piece? I purchased mine approx 1 mth ago after considering pulling the trigger over the last year. I am so pleased I did, I absolutely love it & the market price has stabilised and I consider myself to now have the best steel sub (hulk)!and steel GMT, I know many will still prefer the Pepsi! I am so keen to see the new Panda Daytona, it looks like perfection, looking at the current model I can’t help but think how thick the subdial rings look, I now can’t unsee this! Where do you see the new ref Panda settling £££’s ?
Congratulations on getting a GMT LhD! It was the first and unfortunately didn’t get to stay with us very long…took me a while to get used to, I kept putting it in the box upside down! 🤣 I think a lot of people share your thoughts on the new Daytona which while drive the prices up short term, will probably have a price correction and find it’s settling point once they have been out a while 👍
Love the channel. What would be the best Rolex to buy for investment from these watches? Explorer II white or blue, James Cameron deep sea, Air King or something else thank you
Hi Charlie! How are you? I heard your recommendations about a steel Submariner for all occasions. What do you say about the green bezel "Starbucks" do you like it? Thank you for your work and with greetings from Russia from St. Petersburg!
Hi from the Uk. I’m good thanks how are you ? The green bezel is a very popular model but wouldn’t be as versatile in all occasions due to the colour unfortunately.
@@thehonestwatchdealer Hi, thanks for the feedback! What do you think of the Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000? And how does this model compare to the Explorer II 42 mm? Thank you again, brother!
Great video as always, full of good information, however the Submariner being the most versatile is debatable since it's a 40 or 41mm and a diving watch. The datejust wins the price if you ask me since it's offered in 36 and 41mm to fit different wrist sizes and is dressier
Glad to hear the way you answered my question Charlie as I’m in 100% agreement with you. For me it’s all about spreading risk. I have often though about chopping in my collection for a 5711 or Platona but I think it leaves you more exposed to the volatility of the market as well as the fact you couldn’t wear and enjoy to the same extent as you quite rightly point out. Hee hee. Shamone MF ❤ Bubbles sends you his love and respect 🙊 ✊🏽
Hello... I really was looking for a little help here if possible. I recently received 2 men's watches from my parents estate... A LeCoultre and a Universal Geneve (both vintage). Both Solid 18k Gold. (with diamonds). I tried to find out information about the watches, but, no one can help me here. I had the watches opened by a watch jeweler, he got all the info for me that was inside cases, I have all photos and info. Can not find any info online. Can you or anyone help me figure this all out? Would much appreciate any and all help and information. Thank you!
I told my self years and moons ago I would never spend that kind of money on a watch. I was a timex or a G Shock watch wearer .. let’s just say life altering moments have changed my mind. Now I am looking . I fear that what I like is few and far between. I will have it someday . Just not today😂
Hi, tell me please what do you think about Rolex submarine bluesy (steel/gold) ? Right now it’s £13.150 but its worth it to get one or …., 🤷♂️ Thank you 🫡
Things I liked about this video : With the tattoo question we get a small glimpse into who Charlie is as an individual. The son, the father. Bravo Thing I disliked about this video : We are no further forward with some definitive answers to the white shirt (or shirtS?!) conundrum. Questions remain unanswered. Speculation remains rife. 🥸
