Sorry guys, here's the updated links to UKsWrath Kits. Also got the links up under the vid in description goo.gl/WBGaFR The best I've tested so far. Cooling fan system goo.gl/A8Rp9z This system really brought the armor to life and was awesome not to have to worry about any wires coming out of the helmet. Just power up and put it on. I've tested some others where the speakers are in the chest armor but you have to run the mic wire up into helmet and it is a hassle. Much better with this kit since it's all self contained in the helmet. A fun Halloween this year. I've put up a short 1min video of my escapade at work with armor on my INSTAGRAM here instagram.com/dustindunnill/ Check it out..lol :) 👍
Hello Dustin my name is Kevin green field ok, I have a ESB storm trooper helmet and don't know how I would put my metal hovi tips in the front of my helmet , and also I have 2 electronical small fans and toggle switch and 9 volt battery and connectors and I have a voice amplifier system and microphone head set and I'm not sure if this goes into my armour or not because it's quite big and square and I want some help with these so Dustin can you help me as I'm at home all by myself.kevin green field.
I've been thinking about joining the 501st for YEARS. Getting the needed kit and such has always been the hurdle for me though. These look and sound awesome!
I'll be honest this is pretty dope. I'm thinking about doing my own StormTrooper Helmet, but personalise it to be more me, make it red, put in this type of audio system. But you can get a small wireless Bluetooth Aux connection thing that I might put in so I can Bluetooth to the headset itself. I think it'd work, hopefully. Pull some old headphones apart and put them in for music and can also be extra cushioning. The fans look great I like that and really would be needed. Also there's these "Chemion Glasses" that I've bought a while back, And I think it'd be mad if I somehow pulled them apart and put them in each eye. If not, having a simple LED strip in there would also be cool. Might effect my vision but it'd look cool. I'll definitely use your video as a guide. Mine might be a really long project but I hope it works for me. Thanks again my dude 👌
Awesome video! I was wondering if it was also possible with this installation to pitch the voice so that you can sound like a death trooper or Kylo Ren Through his mask or if this is strictly only for Storm Troopers
I got a hero set about 10yrs ago or before Lucasfilm sued him, but the helmet and torso armor is signed by Andrew himself so its in storage. I bought a stunt outfit that I use for display and a Tie pilot. I knew Andrew for quite some time I was buying his products when most did not know about them. Also met him personally when I visited shepperton studios in 2015. I still chat with him via phone every so often very nice chap. I don't cosplay but I do like 1:1 figures so I also have a Boba Fett, Darth Vader, Predator, T-800 of course ;) and just picked up a Grogu and waiting on my pre-paid Mandaloarian 1:1 bust wish they made a fullsize figure though. Most if not all from Sideshow Thanks for this I wanted to put in a voice thingy for my static stormtrooper to play sound files your speaker system looks good I'll give it a go.
@@traceputtz Who is John? I'm about to start my custom Mandalorian suit and helmet myself, and would love to get a great comm system going....without the annoying clicks like the trooper system uses.
Just start at the 501st forum and find a voice box you want and go from there. Those guys will point you in the right direction for everything from ideas to full costumes. They also share tips on how make costumes less of a pain to wear.
Hey dustin, how much extra heat is in the helmet because of all the power running in there, even with the fans on, do you have a time frame for what might be the longest you could wear the helmet with all of that running in it?
I wear the suit on Halloween on occasion and have the helmet on for about hour constantly in hot and humid Hawaii climate without issue. Stays nice and cool with the fans. Before the mod it was almost intolerable to wear and fogged the lenses constantly as just an empty helmet.
Hello Dustin my name is Kevin and I want to ask you where you get all those fans and all the cables .looks pretty awesome where do you get the icomm box and the amplifier system and the microphone system
1. God Bless you sir. 2. I was going to Join 101st however Do to poor health issues, I am. Unable to Join due to M.S. 3. Thank you for making and posting this video. God Bless all members of the 101th
You should consider putting the batter somewhere else instead of on your face. I imagine you could run a wire under a turtle neck to attach into the helmet and be hidden. The battery down in your belt or something for easier removal/charging and easier on/off of helmet.
Good idea. Just wanted everything in the helmet for easier trooping and resting. I've delt with a few cables between helmet and body in the past and it gets really frustrating when helmet goes off and on the head a few times 🍻.
Id be more worried about the lithium burns. The chance of the powerbank catching fire may be extremely small but lithium is mental when it goes up. If it lit up in that spot it would melt cheek, lips, nose and eyes just in the few seconds it'd take to remove the helmet. I can understand not wanting wires running to the chest area so mayb place battery at the back of the helmet,
Vanilla Gomez Because it’s made from the original mold used in a new hope which was hand made, so it’s not symmetrical. It’s actually 100% screen accurate.
I'm sorry but shortly after you started speaking about the "501st Unit" and "Trooping" my PUT unit overloaded and a total loss of comprehension resulted...... It looks like you had fun though :D
+didactylos4 diddy4 lol. It's basically a club for super Starwars nerds. Not sure why I haven't joined yet...would be cool to have a collector card like the guy I got this comm kit from 😁
You should add that they are the ones that get hired when there are big star wars events. The groups of stormtroopers you see are often the 501st. They also do a lot of charity.
Pretty cool! Have you thought about making the components body mounted and running the wiring harness under your shirt collar? Might reduce the weight and heat in the helmet.
I’ve got a vader costume that I wear often but need a voice amplifier and a fan system Do you think this would be good for a Vader voice or any other recommendations
Hi. Because of your video I orderd this kit, just waiting to arrive. Can you show us more about your other costumizations? Like the head strap and how you put the glasses in? My bucket just got in and is still standard. So I'm looking for ways to make it more comfortable. Thx
@@DustinDunnill Okay, but is there a better helmet? I don't know.. But the installed voice changer in the BlackSeries will be unused technic if I'd put in a custom changer.
Anyone able to find the white amplifier box? I've been able to find all the other components necessary, but not the correct amplifier. BTW I'm willing to share the links I found for the others if anybody else is looking for them.
i have built 2 fotk costumes for my wife and I have been looking for a decent voice changer to add bursts and clicks i have 2 generic amps like the aker amps however my question is will icomm work with any amp or does it have to be aker i have been unable to get a solid answer. and dont want to have to buy another 2 amps
@@radio7353 Well when I was at Galaxy's Edge in Florida the First Order Storm Troopers sounded EXACTLY like the movie Troopers and they had been free style talking with people, no pre-recorded things. Even Kylo sounded great.
Hello and good morning Dustin dunnel,in Kevin Greenfield please can you advice me how do I keep my sand trooper helmet more comfortable to fit on my head? Please.
I want to get my own set but there are so many options out there.....was this ready to wear or did you have to trim and apply straps yourself? The helmet looks good though....also, did you have to buy the gun and all the soft goods separately?
I got a a"kit" which came with everything, saves money but needs assembly/trimming. You can get a pre fitted suit per your dimensions but it's around 500 more. Built and painted my blaster from a toy base with 3D printed add-on parts.
