I thought I would ask if you notice a reduction in noise while driving and does it improve the stereo because it blocks some outside noise and reduces sound reflection on the glass roof.
Really good review. Honestly, I am usually oblivious of the glass roof. I don't really notice it being bright or even hot. The product as you describe looks premium like it came direcly from Tesla.
Hi @ShivaSapkota of all the sunshades available for Tesla, I agree with you that this fabric style looks more OEM than the honeycomb style that both Hansshow and Otrifowd make. The challenge I am having is that I own a 2022 Model 3 and I cannot locate the fabric style for it. Am I missing something, or are the glass measurements different in my year Model 3 than say the one made in 2019? Please help clarify, thanks!
Super good, balanced review, once again. Surprised that this is your favorite, given the OtriFowd you reviewed seemed to reject a good 5 degrees farenheit more than this one. When I saw the top side of the fabric (black), it made me wonder whether Hansshow missed a good opportunity to use a lighter color or even silver to reflect more heat away from the occupants? What are your thoughts on that, Shiva?
Thank you so much for always supporting the channel, I really appreciate it :) Otrifowd ones are great and I am going to be installing their Model Y 2.0 version soon and that might change my mind but I like these ones better because they look more of an OEM fit and match the headliner. The Otrifowd honeycomb ones look more like a house blind than a car sunshade. I hadn't thought about the black fabric but yeah it would make sense to use a lighter material to reflect more heat away. However, having a darker color probably is better for UV protection?

A passion, yes, but what you do takes a lot of effort and your honest appraisals are what makes you a legit Tesla accessory superstar! It's funny, but the according style of the OtriFowd shades don't bother me at all, but I know it does some people. The upside is that there are never any sags or wrinkles, either and the heat rejection seems significantly better, according to your own results! For some reason, the handles on this Hansshow one bug me more than anything else, I think. Now, you'll have to excuse me while I go install my new Hansshow lighted sill covers that I bought on Amazon Prime Day when they were the lowest price I've ever seen them! Cheers.

The little magnet thing could be a bit tricky. Those lighted sills make a huge difference though. I absolutely love them!
I asked them to send me a kit but haven't seen that come through. I am going to be installing some big mods soon including auto doors on my Model Y and I think I can do an ambient light video at the same time. Thank you.
This has been a super pain in the butt trying to get the front part to fit into place. Looks like I’m going to need to find help. 😖😖😖😖. EDIT: I fixed it. Had to use a second pry tool to make space in the headliner. Also, I had to use my fingers to push the latch to secure it in place. The tool that comes with the item did NOT work.
It looks like you lose quite a bit of the roof panorama just by the frame and the shades do not open as wide as the opening of the frame. You probably lose about 20% of the roof's panoramic view. It looks like the shades could open all the way to the edges of the frame opening. Hanshow just needs to redesign/reconfigure to make it happen. With that said, it's better design than the one that you have to use clips and magnets
I can already tell… there will be massive issues with Tesla outside trim pieces falling apart… I’m sure outer trim pieces are not initially designed to hold that extra weight for you to install that after maker piece…. Over time it will stretch and break off those clips and Of course Tesla Will not honor under the warranty… therefore huge out of pocket cost for replacing all those brackets if you break it
Slick, and I love Hansshow.. but it's more than twice the price of the other similar one you reviewed. I got and installed that and its super baller (model 3 version)
Agree, for such a light and apparently smooth apparatus, the handles are quite bulky. This doesn't quite fit with the Tesla minimalist theme. Great review of a great product overall, and helped us see that this product just could use a more refined set of handles that aren't so conspicuous. I would love it if they could come up with a solar powered mechanically retracted version (if they can make/use a small lightweight motor). Too much?
THings change FAST! The product is already discontinued and so is the Tesla referral program. Maybe take the video down? A whole video on installing a product that doesn't exist?
I live in south Texas (Mission Texas) I HATE the glass roof!! just purchased the car in Jan 23, terrible hot summer here, I now have spent $1.400 for 3M CERAMIC IR for ALL windows, roof, windshield, complete back window! I also have the JOWUA shades, (another $100) which are the ones that look the best quality BUT I also installed the middle shades that come with the TEMAI! roof shades! (another $60) BUT STILL THE FRICKING MODEL 3 IS HOT AS HELL, and I refuse to use the cabin heat protection, this fricking RWD EV is with the new Batteries are POS, driving like my grandmother, I get 170 to 180 miles for a full charge I regret buying the cheapo RWD with the 19 inch "sport" rims, if this comments helps someone DO NOT BUY THE CHEAP RWD! BUY THE LONG RANGE! YOU WILL THANK ME!
Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Model 3 RWD. Mine is a mid range model 3 they sold only for a few months back in 2018 and definitely wished I went for the long range one. I think the 19" wheels are also causing your range to suffer. I got the 18" aero wheels. My model Y is a long range AWD and absolutely love it. Much better range compared to my Model 3.
