Jorge wanted to propose to his girlfriend Kersia-Leigh in a unique & special way and wanted to make sure she never saw it coming.
He knew that his 30th birthday was coming up in a about a month & it seemed like the perfect time to propose to her as not only would he have his friends and family present but he would also have her family present at the party as well.
As it would be held at a restaurant on a Friday night, the venue would be full of other patrons as well so it would be a fantastic public display of affection.
He also knew that his girlfriend would be looking for the perfect gift to give to him and with the help of his brother, Roberto Barcelos; he got his plan on the way.
Kersia came to Roberto to ask his advice on the perfect gift to give to Jorge. He gave her the idea for her to create a photo montage video with a twist. Not only would they use photos of Jorge's life as he was growing up, but they would take photos of Jorge's closest friends & family holding a piece of cardboard with the message “Happy 30th Birthday”. She thought it was such an awesome idea and couldn't wait to surprise Jorge on his birthday.
After weeks of secretly going behind Jorge's back and the shooting photos of their closest friends & family with the "Happy Birthday Board"...including her own family, his birthday was fast approaching and she needed help getting the video made.
Now I’m sure many of you are wondering "but how did the proposal get put into the video?" Kersia had asked Roberto to help her with the video. She sent the photos to him so that he could help with editing the video.
What she didn't know was that In actual fact she was sending the photos to Jorge who took the photos to create the video above. He took the photos of their family and with a bit editing, changed the birthday messages to letters to use for the proposal.
He added their song to the video as well as some messages of how she makes him feel. The video was played on a projector screen in front of everyone and her reaction was priceless.
She thought she was surprising me but in actual fact she was the one that was getting surprised.
