We are sharing our top 10 Royal Caribbean's Symphony of the Seas hidden secrets! We have a look at some hidden gems you should know about before cruising on Royal Caribbean's biggest ship yet!
I was just on that ship last week. I wish I knew about the augmented reality spots! Also another tip is to make dinner reservations at Solarium Bistro. It’s considered complementary specialty dining. It’s a great dinner experience.
The stairs leading up to the Windjammer Marketplace play musical notes and briefly light up when you step on them. Play your own tune by walking up or down these stairs located toward the aft of the ship between decks 15 and 16, leading up to Windjammer.
Dude I just went on this ship like 3 months ago and let me tell you, it was the most relaxing experience in my life! I measured my heartbeat and it was 29 BPM (Beats per minute)!
I love this!!!! I just started following your blog and its so helpful! We are cruising on Allure in August! So excited and our first time enjoying an Oasis class ship!
Great tips and great video as usual! One tip that helped us on Symphony is to use the interactive maps at the elevators, you can put in where you want to go and gives you the fastest/easiest route so you don’t get lost :-) however sometimes getting lost is part of the fun! Also HIGHLY recommend pre booking entertainment, it is second to none and you do not want to miss any of the shows trust me!
I just got off that ship yesterday sadly and I really suggest that you go on it. I really loved the view from my room because I over looked Central Park. I also loved the flight show, hairspray musical and hiro show. Their food at dinner is amazing. And also go the the family friendly comedian show and if you go then sit in the front middle row! Thank me later!
Yes- we went on a sister ship in 2018 and just booked the “same” room for Symphony. We enjoyed sitting on the window seat watching people all dressed up walking on the walkways at Central Park and taking pictures.
I got to enjoy the aft view on the Allure when it was new. I loved it! I'm hope to go on this ship with my mom and daughter this year. I've been spoiled with RC and won't cruise with anyone else.
94 days till we're on this beauty ~ needless to say the anticipation is building up more an more each and every passing day! Thanks for the "secret" information ~ going look like a pro now
I have been on symphony of the seas, three different times I am currently booked this month for my fourth experience on Symphony of the seas. I am very excited. This will be my first time experiencing the southern Caribbean itinerary, which is also an extra day at sea. I have been on a lot of different cruise lines and different ships. In my opinion there is nothing like symphony of the seas and what it offers. Their balcony rooms are very clean and comfortable. There’s so much to do on the ship and the destinations are awesome I’m really looking forward to the southern Caribbean destinations I highly recommend the ship to anybody again this will be my fourth time on this ship lol it’s really terrific Thank you for this video/content I hope everybody travels safely and enjoys the new year ✌️+❤️ 🌎
On Symphony Apr 20th and I appreciate the tips for the Flight seating and the aft viewing which I'll be sure to enjoy when I need a quiet place to relax
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog Also going on the April 20th sailing with the family. Late spring break this year for the kids but the colleges will all be done. Thanks for the tips. Just booked the entertainment Monday since it was just listed.
I already knew about the piano guy. I went to the *Harmony of the Seas* and saw him in the elevator. Being a child that has a huge love for piano, made me just really enjoy it. Since I always go on the newest cruise for Royal Caribbean, I am looking forward to see him again! (Yes, a kid wrote this)
Is on the someday, to do list. I love the Wind Jammer Restaurant, on land of course, the good ole days. anyway, still on the some day, to do list. Haven't been on a cruise, yet. Looks awesome. Am hopelessly, hopeful, in some of my, somedays, to do list, things.
Will be on the boat Spring Break 2019 ( March 2019) . Curious as to whether this is one of their new " bubble blowers" where bubbles blow out of hull to assist in speed and fuel economy? Matt, where are the Diamond class lounges?
Hello! I'll be cruising with my family on October 2019 and we are so excited about it! I have downloaded the app but I still can't book any activity yet. When do you suggest I'll be able to book it?
It should be soon. My family will be traveling on SOTS in September 2019 and reservations are available through cruise planner, not on the app. in fact made my reservations tonight. I was told about 90 days out but to be available on app.
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog Thanks for the update. Appreciate your time. Have never been on an Oasis class ship. Going in January. Would probably prefer a nice lounger on deck; but ......... Happy Cruising
I just downloaded the Royal Caribbean app and logged in and it gave me a map of the whole ship and all of these "hidden" locations The tips you have, however, are very useful. Thank you
Matt we are booked and symphony of the seas for the September 24th 2022 sailing, I've tried multiple times to schedule the entertainment but it's still says that they're working on their entertainment. When do you believe I will be able to schedule that I'm a person who likes to plan in advance and I really want to make sure that I see a show at the aqua theater. Do you know what other shows will be on that sailing? thank you in advance
Do you know if the app. Require wifi? And can it be use to contact or communicate between family members? I usually bring walki talkie, since I can't use my cell due to Roaming. Pls inform. Tks
The app does not require a WiFi package, however, currently the app does not have the feature to contact others yet. It is planned and coming soon, but not sure when.
Just booked March 2025. How soon can i reverse shows/ dinner. I tried calling the phone operator said 9 to 12 months. I'm in month 11 now and seeing nothing but drink packages and a few excursions
Not all. Deck 5, the track, yes. Deck 7, the seating areas behind the Rock Walls, though the wrong video is shown here, yes. But the artwork throughout the ship including the massive art piece in the Solarium, all unique to the Symphony.
I just unsure of going on a cruise. The last and only time I went on a cruise was when I was 17 years old with my parents. That was back in December of 1997. I remember it being ok. I think I would rather keep going to Vegas instead of a cruise. That's kinda what a cruise ship is,right? A floating hotel resort.
I go to Vegas on average 6 - 9 times a year. Cruising can be similar to going to Vegas with the benefit of not having to walk all over the Strip to do it. Depending on where you live you can board a cruise for a reasonable amount. I LOVE VEGAS!!!! I just got back from a trip on Navigator of the Seas and it blew all of my cruises on Carnival away. (to be fair, my cruises with Carnival have been on much smaller ships) I have a cruise in October on Symphony and I can't wait! All I am saying is think of this like vegetables, when you were 17 there were things that you didn't like that you possibly love now.... Give it a "no thank you" try...
they stopped letting you book shows before you board now you have to go on embarkation day and go to the booking counter and book all your shows on the first day for the week
The second segment of the video does not match the dialog. You are talking about the two sections on the 7th floor behind the Rock Climbing Walls but showing the external Aft section of jogging track on Deck 5. These sections can be reached by the stairs from Deck six, or from the exit at the end of either of the hallways on Deck 7. Also, nothing like giving away the big surprise ending of the show Flight. Here's another secret: the two cantilevered hot tubs near the Solarium area stay open very late at night long after others have closed. Secret #9: Best mixed and lowest priced drinks with NO waiting? Rock 'em and Sock 'em at the Bionic Bar. Standard drinks with double shots? $6! Secret #10. Best place to get a quiet drink, no crowd, spectacular view? Wonderland. #11 Want a Chef's Table type dining experience at your own table as opposed to the usual group of 12? And get this... It's HALF the price of what the budget cruise line Carnival charges! Again, Wonderland. Make reservations well in advance. Get there way early, be really sweet to the hostess, ask for a table by the window with lots of pleases and thank yous, and have a unique cocktail in the lounge. #12 Make sure you have the correct footwear and or socks before zip lining. This is very important. #13 Best place to watch for Ship Runners? Deck 5, the jogging track, Starboard or Port accordingly. There are areas near the lifeboats where you can stand and have a clear shot of the gangways. #14 Don't eat in the Main Dining Room every night. There are lots of good restaurants to try. Don't miss them. Or you'll end up having to rebook the cruise to go back and do all the things you missed the first time! ;) 25 years of cruising, this is by far the most beautiful ship I've ever sailed. At first I didn't like the thought of being in a mega ship, but it never felt crowded and there are so many places to go to get away from everyone. I love this ship!
Ken, I read the Wonderland and Hookers Restaurant bars have happy hour specials for drinks and apps. Is this correct? Also, we plan on eating at both (we bought the 3 restaurants for $89 ea)special and have to book it over to dining immediately to reserve times. Does Hookers or any of the other specialty restaurants have window seating? We cruise March 2nd, 1 week!
