Unfortunately they missed on what should have been their #1. The Browning BLR(Takedown if you'd like). Ive gotten 1moa accuracy from my .300Win Mag, Robust action, good fit/finish, durable coatings, scope applicable, not too heavy(particularly for its calibers), flush detachable box magazine 3-5 rounds, 22-250, 243, 6.5 Creed, 7mm-08, .308, .300 WSM, .30-06, .300 Win Mag. And if you want to search for used models it's been chambered in 20 different calibers in total.
I happen to have both gun number one and gun number two on this list and both are exceptional firearms. One is in 9 mm and the other one is in 22 long. Excellent.
Since this is for camping and survival I’d vote to put an AR platform of any common caliber in there but 556/223 would be my choice. Both rifle and ammo are Ultra reliable. Easy to work on. Takes down in seconds. And ammo is plentiful and cheap. But I also liked the options you showed. 10/22 is very good gun. 22 cal rimfire just isn’t my choice anymore for reliability or ability to get meat or defend against more than a bird or a squirrel.

The Browning SA22 is a fine gun indeed; I have one and love it. However, it requires thorough cleaning after use, else it will jam often so, while it could be used as a pack gun, be sure to pack your cleaning kit as well, or buy a Ruger 10/22 breakdown backpack model. Unless you require protection against bears, a 22LR should be enough and the Ruger 10/22 is both durable and accurate. I love Browning, so I dont mean to put it down but their SA22 is touchy. Browning makes a great breakdown larger cal so look into that; I am unfamilar with it, but they make great guns. If this is a long term survival gun, consider a lever action, or even bolt action.
You indicated that the Ruger PC Carbine comes in 40 caliber, it has not for some time. If this is a 2024 video it is not accurate regarding th 40 caliber Ruger PC Carbine because I have been searching for months, and Ruger indicates it had been discontinued.
nobody in the lower 48 states needs to hunt for food. 5+ lbs of longarm is of no help to you if you're lose, hurt, sick, etc, in the woods. What you NEED is a 1 lb rental satellite phone. All you have to do, if you get lost, is find a dead, dry tree well away from other such trees and set it on fire. SOMEBODY is coming to check on that fire, within 48 hours, guarantee and probably in a few hours. There's your rescue. A pistol is enough for defense. You need the pistol in the urban areas, too. I carry the same pocket 9mm everywhere. Only brain hits will RELIABLY stop charges by big animals, not even with a 45-70 or 12 ga slugs. RU-vid has vids about 9mm's to the brain stopping bears, moose, etc. What matters a LOT more than a longarm is a cover element, water carrying and purifying gear, pack, some sort of light, cordage, a small saw, multitool, and rations. Small game aint got any fat and you can't eat enough lean meat to keep from starving. You'll burn more calories trying to hunt such animals than you'll get back by eating them. The survival longarm is for COMBAT/shtf, not for hunting. So you dont want a shotgun or a non-auto, and you need a silencer and night sights on that longarm. You want a shorty 223 AR-15 with a $250, 3/4 lb CMMG 22lr conversion unit. Get some 60 gr 223 softpoints, 1 in 9" rifliing twist, 60 gr Aquila subsonic 22 rimfire ammo (put up in 22 SHORT cases, due to the very long bullets.
A pump shotgun maybe is all you need but the problem is 12 gauge ammo is big and heavy. How much shotgun ammo can you carry if you have to travel on foot from one location to another frequently? I was thinking of a Mad Max scenario where you can't get any more fuel for your car or truck.
45-70's and similar crap suck for small game and there's MANY times more small animals than large. without salt to make brine for dipping the strips of meat prior to smoke/curing them, the meat or fish will probably spoil. Such stuff is a ton of work and then you have to secure/store/carry the jerky. Wth is that about, when you're just lost/hurt/sick in the woods?
