IMO Lorikeets are one of thee best smaller parrots to adopt. They are not a noisy bird. They ARE the clowns of the parrot world. They are extremely smart,Sweet,Goofy, very curious about everything, and for some reason, love the ground more then being elevated on a perch. I think, not sure ,but think the main reason why people pass this parrot up and go with a different type of parrot is their type of food is very expensive. But one bag goes a long way. Anyway........Lorikeets #1👍🏻
I had a rainbow who demanded 'wrestles'. She would lay on her back and demand tickles calling for wrestles. She would preen me and snuggle. Best bird ever. RIP Einstien 2012.
I have a boy that looks like Buddy, His name is Tango and he was born in 02-2019 and still young as he has dark eyes and green hand. I live in CA, USA and he cost me $1000. In turn of love i get 1000 TIMES the $1000 out of him as my Tango is priceless.
Beautiful bird mate, I've got one myself. Does yours run your life too? Mine loves riding on me while I ride my bike, and he is a good acrobat like yours as well. two years old, name of charley.
yeah me too mate hehe I've got 2 Beautiful Lorikeets little fucking acrobats that defy and don't give 2 shits about gravity HEHE Intelligent as hell Mine rides on my back as well when i pretty much do anything he thinks i'm his mum if i try to walk into another room and he's on the window or the curtain, he'll fly on my shoulder to go with me into the other room Now. if anyone is wondering, Martin what if you go into the toilet to take a shit YES.. that's right, i can't hehe he has to come into the toilet and sits on the window while i take a shit hehe it's funny shit. i've opened the door so he can get out from time to time you think he would, from the smell, but.. NOPE he's got his mind made up he'll either be on the window looking out the window or he'll jump on my shoulder and give me kisses cute little bugger i go to take a shower he has to come in and he fucking loves the water he won't give two shits where he is, if he hears the shower running he'll fly right in , into the water and on my shoulder i pretty much taught him to fly from when he was a little chick he used to fly to me at a short distance and then i extended it he used to miss my hands and i used to have to catch him like a tennis ball going over your head this is before he knew how to control how hard or soft he flapped his wings it was really fucking funny A LOT OF TRUST WAS BUILT UP IN THIS TIME you could tell by the way he looked at me when i caught him SO YEAH I love my lilttle one as well they are a part of my life... no doubt about it as for running it HE TRIES hehe and sometimes he succeeds and sometimes he doesn't it depends he also bites my ear while i'm on the phone because he isn't getting enough attention hehe
Correct me if I am wrong but you only have one wing clipped? A little advice - if you are going to clip his wings it is recommended to do both wings. This is so they can maintain balance, and also so they do not "spiral" if they happen to try and fly. Cute boy by the way :)
