That depends if people want to start with totodile if not heracross if levelled high enough to get brick break and use attack boost battle items can 1 shot it or the machop from trade can with same method though not as effective since not having as high base stats but will kill with crit which is useful since it has karate chop when you get it which has high crit chance and a dire hit

he also says heracross which is more effective against milk tank being able to 1 shot after 1 attack boost and brick break while you you need rage totodile and have female which not everyone would want to soft reset for

+K Shove: Literally none of those show how Gyarados is better than Feraligatr in an in-game (efficient) playthrough. Again, availability is on Feraligatr's side. And the fact that it has a wide movepool helps it succeed at just as many major battles in the game as Typhlosion does if not more.

The Canal Otter The ingame trade Onix is FANTASTIC in this game, because of its Hasty Nature and high Speed IV compensating for its mediocre Speed. It also WRECKS THE first two Gyms and walls Whitney to no end, and while it can't beat Morty with its Ground STAB anymore thanks to Levitate being a thing, it can still wall his Pokémon out very well. You can also get Steel as early as Burned Tower, if you're somehow able to land that 5% chance of a Magnemite holding a Metal Coat and if you have access to trading. Keep it away from Chuck. It reaches a stalemate against Jasmine own Steelix but can destroy her Magnemites. Onix sucks against Pryce but Steelix bodies him thanks to the lack of a 4x Water weakness and super effective STAB Iron Tail, which hurts. Keep it away from Clair. The Elite 4 is meh. Lance has great matchups against Steelix but struggles to get past Steelix's huge Defense stat. Kanto is for the most part 50/50 outside of Misty and Blaine. And Steelix is a MONSTER against Red's non Water-Types and Charizard.

The Canal Otter well said. I find Geodude to be good as well. I have used both. You can Geodude very very early in the game, just outside New Bark Town. It's high defense at a low stage is just great. Getting Earthquake naturally is a plus too. Edge quake is good too, but rock slide works well. It destroys Whitney.

@@umbreon2110 personally I really like Xatu with 75 attack its not the strongest and it its 70 in both defenses and only 65 attack are a weakness. But 95 s.attack and speed are pretty good. Also skarmory has amazing physical bulk and a decent 80 attack. So it's not a bad pick either. When it comes down to it just pick which one you like most. Pokémon isn't a hard game.

You don't need trading to evolve Golbat into Crobat. You evolve Golbat into Crobat by giving it any items to hold & leveling it up for a while to evolve. It's one of those friendship level.

Finally someone is using quagsire like me just because it has a great type advantage comparing to other water type pokemon.

Austin Leonard most pokémon are fine with four attack moves but be careful what moves you give them based on their stats. certain pokémon work better with 3 attack moves and one stat boosting move to either cover a weaker stat or to make their strong stat even better

Togekiss’s Flying type and Heracross’s Fighting type cover pretty much everything Fire is needed for. Though I’ll agree Miltank is an odd choice, it does get STAB Strength, and since Strength is a required HM anyway, why not?

The Bellsprouts are level 3. By this point in the game, your Totodile should be at least level 10. No problem whatsoever, except maybe having to heal occasionally.

I just caught a Zubat, leveld it up to lvl10 for bite and kinda stalled through the tower, the quadruple resistance against grass types comes in very handy

Totodile doesn't take much damage from fucking lvl 2-3 bellsprouts.Besides,if you really are struggling,catch a Pidgey,Spearrow,Zubat,etc.

Trainer Red Alakazam outclasses Espeon since it doesn't require an annoying friendship evolution and is only 1 level away from Kadabra if you buy one at the Game Corner, the only real issue being trade evolution and the removal of the elemental punches from GSC. Miltank is decent because of early STAB Headbutt like most Normal-Types in this game, but falls off fast.

My team was kind of similar with -Feraligator (great stats, vast moves set) -Fearow(nice attack and speed) -ampharos(to be honest only useful electric type) -Pincir(easier to get than heracross and does pretty much the same and its stats are pretty similar) - Graveler( better than onyx, overall one of the most useful rock types) -Miltank(just to be an asshole)

Jolteon over ampharos and mamoswine instead of onyx/rhydon

I would recommend swapping out your Rock type and Umbreon with HM slaves.

Espeon requires high friendship with a level evolution during the day. Not really guaranteed. And what MysticUmbreon recommends is even more inefficient. So, really, Alakazam > Kadabra > Espeon.

Morning sun is okay, but swift could be replaced with type coverage and espeons attack stat is too low for quick attack. Give it shadow ball instead of togekiss, and let togekiss keep extrasensory, and also give it either last resort or hyper beam to have a nice and powerful move to complement espeons sp. Attack. Or, you can give it hidden power if you like the typing
