Nicely engineered attention getting box design. Have been reading up on this tent maker. They seem to want to do things right being one of the leaders of single wall tent designs.

Hi, sorry for the late reply but I wanted to check a few things first before I got back to you. I had only borrowed the Samaya inspire 2 so I cant test it any more I am afraid.. I haven't reviewed a Rogen so maybe this is a little unfair but its my opinion from what I can see.. The Samaya should have more sitting up and liveable space due to the pole structure which gives great height along the length of the tent. The Rogen has an extra brow pole but this only gives height across the tent, but adds to it in the vestibule... To be really honest I do like the single skin idea of the Samaya and pack size is good as is the weight at about 500g less than the Hilleberg.. Breathability of this fabric is fantastic and I really tested with the other model (which uses the same fabric) in the rain and there was no condensation. The inspire 2 is even more ventilated as well. I have just got the Assaut2 8K as I love the weight saving and single skin concept for my type of camping. I tested it last night and again had little condensation and in fact in the morning it had all gone. Back to the Inspire.... It's also very strong side on due to the pole structure and direct guy line attachment...As you can see here in this video quality and attention to detail from Samaya are also ultra premium. I do also like the 70d groundsheet which shows while saving weight is important Samaya still consider the durability of the tent. The detachable vestibules are a little fiddly but offer a different option of saving weight on a particular trip if that's what you fancy.... The only cons of this tent IMO would be that the pole sleeves are thin so watch threading the poles through them and the vestibule fabric is also very thin.. But then it is marketed as a 3 season tent.... I cannot say as much about the Rogen as like I said I haven't reviewed one but it's a great tent as well. You know that I am a Hilleberg fan (despite the fact that they will not sponsor me for nearly 25 videos promoting their tents) and you will not go far wrong with one... My friend Gary who has the Jannu also has a Rogen so I have heard a fair bit about it from him.. However he finds that he is just using it less and less so he now is looking possibly at something else. Having just got this tent here, and been so impressed by it so far in its use and presentation quality and I love the whole idea and concept of Samaya and the fact that they are different I would definitely recommend the Inspire 2 but still considering what features and pros and cons that personally matter to you... Hey Mark.. Take a seat .. It's £1300.. BUT I am starting to get convinced it would be worth it for me.. I have always loved the best gear ⚙️ and something different.. This tent I think suits my needs. That is having a strong summit shelter that can take a beating. Having really great space for one.. And coming in at 1.5kg . It also feels special like a unique summit shelter.. Tonight I am taking it without the vestibule just to go fast and light.. It's half the weight of my Jannu if I don't take the vestibule. Very different tents and the Jannu is stronger but nice to have another option... I think at some point single skin tents have to be the way forward once they loose their reputation for having condensation issues.. Best wishes Tom
@@TOMHEANEY100 Wow, I'm glad I took your advice Tom and made sure my backside was firmly seated. 😂 However, like you said, if you compare the price vs weight to the Jannu, I think it could be totally worth it. I'm keeping an eye out for a bomb proof 4 season tent to possibly replace my Stone Glacier. So am really keen to see how you get on with this. I like the fact it's single walled and by the looks of it, a doddle to setup. Which is what my Stone Glacier isn't. Good luck on you outing tonight. Look forward to the video.

I got a nano bivy the other day in a box like that. Misleading dimensions. Like their tents is not for big guys😢 at least not with a sleeping bag and pad.
Hey Adam I am sorry to hear that and I can really understand your disappointment. Picking gear is hard enough and I recently struggled with selecting a sleeping bag due to my height.. Hey it packs so small ha ha.. Hard to describe just how premium it feels. I am really taken by it just in the packaging alone.. I am a real sucker for this type of thing to be honest. My thoughts are that as I always camp in windy conditions on summits then condensation wont be a problem.. roll on tomorrow and I have an amazing new sleeping bag too...Christmas came very early this year... hey best wishes and thank you for supporting the channel by watching and commenting on so many of my videos... @@TOMHEANEY100 Windy summits and less condensation is my preferred pitch too. , i am also a dab hand at finding a smooth rock to strategically place underneath the ground level seam to aid a bit of extra airflow too but its a bit of a fine art to ensure you dont create any excess friction that the tent material cannot cope with and a large ziplock plastic bag does a good job. I sometimes use a shoe or a boot too.
Yes that's a lot of money.. In European countries the price of American tents can be a fair bit more than in the US . The more expensive to start with then even more tax and import duties. Hey thank you for your comments and thoughts. Best wishes Tom
