Not only the actors but the stage crew, for a lot of these clips the set falls apart. like imagine spending all that time building something just for it to fall apart when it matters. Must suck.

I was the set director for a small play I did and the the big walls we had built for the scene almost fell but we were lucky enough to catch them in time that not many people noticed. It never happened during rehearsal of course though lol

@@brettshair3151 We were pretty lucky that the stage directions didn't make sense in that context. The character I was playing was supposed to be gone until after the first song, but the teacher told me that when the first song starts, I would stand up and sing it with the others. Now when I didn't appear behind the rock to sing, she noticed I was really gone. She put two and two together and realised I was still looking for a stick, went to get me (luckily the place we were at wasn't really big so she found me after like ten seconds) and allowed me to skip the first song. I walked through the door when I was supposed to appear behind the rock and said my first line like I was supposed to. I don't think anyone except the other kids on stage noticed.

I know! This isn't the worst mishap but I was jack's mother in into the woods, and the witch didn't come on stage on time, so the baker and I had to improvise for a good 25 seconds.... it was so funny and I think we covered up well enough so that the audience didn't notice!

My school recently did a production of Oliver! (I was in it, it was great) and during our opening night, during It's a Fine Life (I think it was anyways) Nancy's microphone got tangled up in her basket and she just kept on singing. I don't think that she even fixed it until she got off stage.

I was in a community production of Oliver in the ensemble and it's the same scene. Noah knocked on the door frame and it broke! Their improv was amazing! When Noah's mom freaks out, Oliver cried "He called my mother names AND broke the door frame!"

In the production I did, the favourite line in the scenes I was Noah was probably when the Mr Sourbry (I can’t spell) came on and the woman who was playing him forgot the line so she just started ad-libbing it because she was supposed to be acting dr*nk.
