I am pleasently surprised at the wealth in Russia. Having lived in Germany, you are given an impression that people are totally impoverished in Russia. I see that the streets are packed with cars in relation to the population. People seem to live in peace, go about their life with lesser tension, anxiety etc., overall life seems to be much smoother than in the western countries. So nice to get sn overview of Russia and very friendly, warm people. 👍

Loved this vlog so much!!! You brought back old memories, as with almost all the videos. I can't believe the coincidence!! The area where Roman lived is called Nemirovicha Danchenko and that is also where my host lived! The building to your left at 9:44 is where he lived, on the 8th floor! The apartment block where Roman lived wasn't complete fully complete then, but it had people residing already. I got off at a metro station some distance and walked to the location. I explored the city using the metro and marshrutka. Such lovely memories Tourvashu!! Can't wait for the next one :)

Nah, not like London. That is an overstatement. That residential part is modern and quite developed. But if you go to the interior and older parts, you will find broken roads and old Soviet building which aren't modern.

I thought Kazan is the 3r largest. Also, read about Shenzhen City in China. I don't think Novosibirsk can break its record on fastest development/population :) you'll be amazed how fast it developed in just 40 years from 30k popular to 2 crore+. Btw . Novosibirsk looks interesting..will travel it on next Russian trip
