JEJU NO.1 ATTRACTION, Park 9.81
website: www.981park.com
After arriving in Jeju, it would be great to start by visiting 9.81 Park and experiencing the activities firsthand. They have shuttle buses operating from Jeju Airport, so purchasing plane tickets in alignment with the shuttle bus schedule would be beneficial.

I definitely recommend foreigner travelers to visit Jeju island. It has very different vibe from what seoul does. Besides renting a car in jeju is very cheap. Normally like 40,000 won to 60,000 won for renting a sonata for 24hrs. It’s 30-45 usd btw as well as cheap hotels are like 40-60$ a night. You can fly to jeju island from gimpo airport which is in seoul. It takes only 30mins from the center of seoul to get the airport. The flight time is normally 1hr. You don’t have to get to the airport 3hrs before the departure. 1.5 hr is enough. I personally get there 1 hr before the flight and it’s still enough. If you can drive then you should rent a car because the public transportation in jeju is not as good as it is in seoul. Just staying there for only 2days would be still fine if your itinerary is tight. The north side is called jeju si and the south is called seoguipo si. The weather in north would be more rainny and cloudy. So it’s better to have your accommodation in the southern area. I hope you have fun there!

For a future video, could you interview foreigners who’ve started Korean-based businesses in South Korea? I’m curious to know what the process was like for them to start their business, what resources there are for foreigners who want to start a business, and any other advice they’d like to offer. Keep up the good work!

I’m from the U.S. and traveled to South Kore for the first time for a sign language interpreting conference in July. The travels was very challenging as it took 13hrs to fly from the U.S. to Seoul. Take the train or a taxi to the Gimpo airport which is about 30 - 45 minutes. 9hr-layover in Gimpo, then a 1hr flight from Gimpo to Jeju. Finally take the shuttle or taxi from the Jeju airport to the Havechi hotel, which is an hour away from the airport. Very jet lagged upon arrival. The language barrier was the major issue as I had never studied the language prior to coming to South Korea, learning only the basics of the language. The food was rather difficult for vegetarians/vegans. Luckily I found restaurants that had Kimchi. The weather was very humid, thunderstorms, and thick fog, where I almost got lost while in a bus and taxi ride. Nonetheless, the views of the nature was beautiful. I wish I could have explored some of the activities mentioned in this video. Hopefully next time I am granted an opportunity and have the finances and language fluency, I will consider returning.

Hey man, with Halloween coming up I think it would be really interesting to ask Koreans whether they will be celebrating it this year at all after what happened last year. Thanks for the videos!

Cold in winter. Extremely hot and humid in summer in addition to massive quantities of rainfall. And overrun with tourists. I really don't understand the millions who go. But then a lot of people also go to Disneyland.

what are you talking about? jeju islands is well known for its warm weather during the winter. it rarely goes down under 0 °C

@vmoses1979 10 месяцев назад
@@mino4965 Average January high - 8.7 Celsius and average low - 3.7 Celsius. That is not vacation resort weather unless you're talking about a ski resort. And in what planet is 8.7 degrees warm weather - I guess if you're from Siberia maybe. What a baseless comment. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeju_Island#climate

@@vmoses1979 I'm saying relatively warmer than the its mainland. cos Seoul goes down under -10c during the winter. are you trying to compare it with Hawaii or something?

Whatever happened to all those Yemenis that tried to enter Korea through Jeju? Are there new policies for entering Jeju?

They suspended visa free travel for Yemeni citizens. There are some refugees living on Jeju Island. Visa free travel exists for many other countries.
