Going to be honest here mate, not a massive fan of the tiger park. Most tour guides now say to avoid it due to how these places exploit the tigers. Also a lot of the elephant sanctuaries have had issues with international charities with not being all what they say they are.
Here is something to consider if people don’t visit the tiger parks then they put down the tigers. I don’t support parks that mistreat animals or drug them. I am very cautious with listening to pretentious western tourist in foreign lands. The finger wagging by Aussies, Americans and Europeans has actually created a bad wrap for western tourist. If you actually sit down and talk to a local guide about the subject of foreigners projecting their values onto foreign lands about many things. Especially in Asia the locals hate that stuff. As far as elephant sanctuaries go I will go there but I do not ride the animals I will feed them and say hi. These animals cannot be released into the wild as they are domesticated animals at this point. So to encourage people not to show love to animal parks is not the solution. The solution is proper education about how to visit these parks in an appropriate way without being the Western tourist who goes to foreign lands to pontificate their values on to others in a disrespectful way that upsets the locals. You have to strike a balance between your own prejudgments about things while also being open minded and respectful of local customs.
@@IslandHopperTV but by creating a market of posing with tigers is just going to perpetuate the situation. Of course the locals who are linked to the industry won't like it as it will effect there work and income, but equally I have spoke to plenty of people who are from different areas of Asia who disagree with this industry.
You can respect different cultures without justifying animal abuse. Would you also say that Westerns can't have a problem with FGM? Abuse is not okay, even if it is tradition or considered the norm in that place. There are ethical elephant sanctuaries in Thailand but places that ride elephants are not ethical nor sanctuaries. Regarding tiger kingdom, it is completely unnatural for a tiger to sit calmly while a human strokes it. I'd guess they are drugged. Not cool to promote this @@IslandHopperTV
But if they were born into captivity, they know no other life. Not trying to justify it, just saying, let those caged tigers out they'd die pretty quick.
great video but slot of the animal places you went to or saw are very immorally wrong and it's not good to promote because they will continue to do this if it brings in more people at the cost of the animals suffering
Interesting that you mention renting a motorbike. Remember, if you don't have a motorbike licence in your own country, YOU ARE NOT INSURED AND RIDING ILLEGALLY. It all sounds like fun until you fall off or are caught by police. If you do have a licence in you own country, be sure to get an international licence when traveling overseas.
I agree with a few of the other guys comments here, good video but pleaD be careful promoting tiger parks, these places should be closed down, animals r heavily drugged every day and mistreated in a big way..i have a place in phuket so i know most locals arent happy about the parks also..
Wow, Phuket looks like a dream destination! The stunning beaches, delicious food, and amazing attractions make it a must-visit place. Can't wait to experience it all in 2023! 🌴🌊🥰
