For my experience, I live in Prince Rupert for about 22 years now and currently living in Victoria BC. And sure as much I enjoy some of the activities to do when I was kid, like going to the woods, exploring the WW2 areas, and all the wildlife stuff etc. But that’s pretty much it. There’s not really much to do if you plan to live here. It’s just basically a tourism town... It’s just a very small town with barely anything to do or any good restaurants (sure there’s plenty of food restaurants I recommend like Stardust, Crest Hotel and Pavilion) like there’s only cowbay. The only area that has good stuff and good walking distance. Including the fishing areas Also, be cautious by talking to the people. Some of them are very rude and like to cause rumours. I’m not trying to say it’s not safe town. But I’m saying is to watch out what you say out loud. They get offended really easy. Rupert is a good place to visit and learn about the amazing cultures and wildlife’s.
My friend has lived there with his family for over 20 years and I am going to visit this Christmas… he said the same thing! Like after 20 years out there he is still not considered a local! I laughed and told him thats just the effects of a small town bubble and perhaps 290 days of rain doesn't help either! Still going to check it out…. Cant wait….
@@WW-sj7zk You’re right about the small town bubble effect, I agree. Hell some of my friends who are also still living Rupert made jokes of how some of us escaped from a small town with barely anything to do. It’s like escaping the hood lol. But either way, good luck with your travel to Prince Rupert. I recommend checking out the rushbrook trails. Great walking distance
