FYI, the "t' is silent in Marigot, it is correctly pronounce Marigo. Hate to hear it said incorrectly, over and over. . Otherwise you did fairly well, thanks. There is so much about SXM that you missed. It is the Culinary Capitol of the Caribbean with over 300+ restaurants of all cuisines in its 37 square miles, with 37 beaches. . When at Orient beach, that is actually the Atlantic Ocean on that side of the island, not Caribbean Sea at that side of the island. The ferries are fine ,but can make many seasick with rough water crossings. There are many short 15 minute island hop flights to other islands that give you more time to tour them ,and less chance of getting seasick on a ferry and ruining your whole day. Cheers
@@zencompton8744 Don't tell me that. I live here since decades among the native locals. They pronounce the t. Only the French locals pronounce Marigot without the t.
Way more fun than Kona to me. I grew up going here and moved to Kona as a substitute, but it never lived up. The energy in the Caribbean is just more exciting to me (and it's not nearly as remote). I find the food to be way more interesting too.
@@Chilopoda81 bro living the dream...i will join you! what kind of island are nice for an german it geek ? madeira is part of schengenraum so it will be easy for me to go there
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video this week to shows these amazing beaches, restaurants, hotels, resorts, etc. in Saint Maarten March of 2024❤❤❤
Isle de Sol as Yacht Crew was PROPER location to stay FAT TURTLE, SOGGY DOLLAR 🍸🍸🍸 beach bar at the 🛫 ... my FAVORITE place to stay docked Isle de Sol 💖💖💖
Quick correction. Both Air France and KLM (along with most airlines) retired their 747 "Jumbo Jets" during the pandemic, so you will not be seeing those flying to Sint Maarten anymore (unless Lufthansa decides to fly there using one of theirs). The larger commercial jets you showed are not jumbo jets. They would be Boeing 737, 757, 777, 787s or Airbus A310, A320, A330 or A350s (obviously depending on the Airline in question).
Nicely done! There is much more to St Martin but you covered a lot in just one week! Happy Bay is the most deserted beach on St Martin but you have to hike to it from Friars Bay. Grand Case is a fun beach with some of the best cuisine in the Caribbean. The Rainforest Adventure zip line is crazy fun for a few hours. I took the 16 and 20 year boys and wife on a surprise adventure and it did not disappoint. We ferried over to Anguilla and flew into St Barth's (saw too many cool videos of the flight so had to splurge) as well during our trip last year while we stayed on St Martin in a villa overlooking Longue Bay Beach just over the french border just past Cupecoy. I 100% agree, Mullet Bay is the best best on St. Martin and Anguilla has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and that's why we're headed back there again this fall. Cheers and happy travels!
Cool video👍👍 going to SXM next week for the 5th time. Never seen donkeys on the side of the road. Seen plenty of goats in the past. Where about is that on the island? 9:41
Las personas son muy buena la ciudad está muy limpia y te hacen buen recibimiento en el puerto de los cruceros son muy cencillo y los presios no están tan caros están asequible y las playas están limpias
Great job on the video! Just a friendly suggestion for improvement: Marigot is pronounced "Mary-Go," not "MaryGot." Adding a bit of research on how words are pronounced could enhance your content even more. Keep up the good work!
So do you just stay in AirBnBs, hotels or resorts? I've been travelling and staying in Sandals resorts, but I feel you get to explore way more than I get to. I feel like at Sandals we can only do what we book through them.
@@IslandHopperTV We aren't really beach people but like the ocean. We would love to avoid crowds and noise. However it appears that wherever you go they just can't be avoided.....
