Diluc still a reliable standard 5 star dps character and the good thing is he is a Pyro claymore user which as we know pyro element is perhaps the most powerful in the game as of now because of its elemental reactions. I have Diluc too with 4 pcs gladiator set and r4 serpent spine ( Don't have crimson set cause I always got horrible stats) I like his playstyle and he carries my team to the upper floors of the spiral abyss and other higher level domains. He's playstyle is simple yet powerful and reliable.
@@yurinalysis8034 i would say pyro is indeed one of the better elements (top 3) but him being a claymore user(claymores are slow and easy to interrupt) and his charged attack passive makes him a bit worse than many 5 star characters even tho he is solid At least one thing can change Mihoyo releasing a good 5star claymore because both unforged and wgs(best dps claymores in game) are pretty bad compared to other good weapons in other classes (harp.jade cutter.homa.jade spear.amos.lost prayer.atlas)
Tartaglia ganyu and hutao all struggle with shields, maybe not as much ganyu but diluc has zero weakness. Has pyro reactions, wields claymore and has low artifact quality threshold. He might just be the most complete unit in genshin.
@@sinsloth8176 you want your cd to be double or hell triple and even quadraple the amount of cr you have,its the best way to balance a character,in other words,you want no cd or cr on your artifact or weapons, so your cr will be 5% and your cd will be 50%,in other words,thats 10x more then the 5% cr
diluc is like tenha's son i still remember when the first time i watched his video stream pulling for diluc from standard banner and in the end he listen to his subs to pull from limited banner (venti 1.0) and got him there lmao
@Kerwyn Jean it is better than my best crit dmg circlet with crit rate substat it has %10 crit rate I think I am luckier with the crit rate circlets two have %21 and %26 crit dmg on substat other has %26 atk %7.8 crit dmg on substat
when he max refills resin everyday to farm artifacts he expects to get near perfect artifacts. To us f2p/low spenders thats a permanent piece right there.

@@hypersonixgamer1962 I mean, sure WGS gives out HUGE attack stats, but Diluc would capitalize more off of a weapon with a CR/CD second stat since his ascension stat is CR. Maximizing CR:CD ratios would be way easier and it enables him to do more consistent crits.
@@TakaAmv1270TheBest been farming that cursed witch domain for a month and a half and i did not get even one crit dmg circlet until now not to mention substats and i got only one pyro dmg goblet with flat hp flat def and energy recharge and it rolled only one time into crit rate. aaaahhhhh this is painful
@@aboaref9083 Sad thing is my best pyro piece came from the maiden domain. Ended with 35% crit dmg LUCKILY, but also flat hp def and atk lmao. The Crimson Witch domain is cursed I got out as soon as J got what I needed...after MONTHS of farming.
Diluc was my first 5* and I think he made my beginner experience in Genshin Impact comfortable. I happen to love claymore using characters in this game. I've mained Eula and Beido for some time and thought it was time to move on from Diluc but I just always go back to him after some time.
As someone with Skyward Pride on Diluc, I feel like I need that atk% sands. Then again, I also typically run Sucrose with my Diluc so he gets lots of EM from her.
Im an f2p diluc main and my friends always questions me for using EM sands😂 But finally someone here agrees with me EM sands makes diluc ult do more dmg and its worth
i tried so hard to farm a crimson witch em sands but im too unlucky 😔 now he's rocking an er sands instead 😂 dont attack me, it's my only cw sands with decent substats (even atk% sands avoid me)
@@smosh2690 lol the thing is opposite for me i always get shit substats on atk sands but good one on em (crit rate,crit dmg,atk,er) and so I was waiting for a wgs and as soon as I got it I switched to my em sands
The first part is actually pretty educative. And what tenha said actually does not only apply to whales, but to every single one of us as well. Basically if you don't understand what he's trying to say, is that is giving more atk better or em is better to improve dmg. The dmg you gain from stacking atk is additive, whereas stacking em is multiplicative due to how melt & vaporise work. The answer is: If you have low atk, stacking atk would be better. But if you have high atk, stacking em would be better. It's basically just simple math, where 1x3=3, and 1+3=4. If the base number goes up higher, for example 10+3=13, and 10x3=30. Hope this would help you And the second part is just tenha jebaiting you kekw

Its simple really if you want your diluc to excel on everything but just the right amount of power but no weaknesses go with *Atk%* But if you want your diluc to excel on one type of playstyle and be really really good at it but with a takeaway of not being good on anything else except that playstyle then go with *elemental mastery*
If you have high ATK (normally achieved by using WGS or Unforged), more EM is betger than more ATK. The only time that isn't true is if you don't use Diluc with Xingqiu, but at that point, your damage is gimped no matter what.
@@AD-nq2nz Not just Xingqiu, but also Bennett, for the part he plays in making sure your attack is high enough (being in his burst is pretty much required for this to be the case). Which is a large part of why attack % is better for Co-op, because you can't rely on the Bennett.
i can't leave diluc honestly he's the first 5 star i got when i was very desperate for a 5 star.. he came to me and i was overjoyed bcs i got wolf gravestone in hand already HSHSXHSSH
@@sreehari5423 I have nearly 20%+ crit damage on all my artifacts (48/180) so if I don't get a good EM sands the first go I may never get a better one lol I just recently got a feather that's 10/20 and that was all but 1 roll into crit, and im not sure which other one I have that has most of my EM on diluc
Here's a BASIC guide on what's the difference between ATK% Sands and EM Sands Atk% = Higher Raw damage attack EM = higher elemental reaction damage i always put artifact on my diluc with EM sub stats because i always partner him with rosaria or xinqui. With EM his E and Q attacks deals more damage because of elemental reactions.

this happened to me but with xingqiu. i found him a really nice hydro dmg cup but it cut him from a lot of dmg since his old one has 65 EM. he was just reaching 7k vape per swords when he can usually go up to 9k. probably need to farm more noblesse tho..... *shivers*
Or just wait until next update. Heard they are adding a way to junk your artifacts(or trade) for new rolls on either Gladiator, Wanderer's or Noblesse pieces. Hope it's true.
my yanfei on 300+ elemental mastery does over 27k damage when paired with other elements inside my c6 diona's ult. if you aren't building your characters on EM, you're missing out on elemental reactions

People play to see big numbers they start saying Diluc got power creeped. Honestly idc, i just loved playing this character. Diluc can do dmg other characters might do better but i like using Diluc for me he is awesome.
What the hell!? Those artefacts are insane! I'm sitting here with my main dps Childe having a 21% crit damage +3,5% critrate feather as his best artefact by a long shot...
even if the weapons and constellations are higher they don't really affect the damage difference. maybe the actual output, yeah but the differences still shout be taken into account
I’ve got 3 dps’s now. I lost my 50/50 to diluc and I’m now building him and he is so freaking fun. It’s nonsensical actually, people say he is so simple as if it’s bad but that’s what makes him good. No complex scaling and all of that, just a fun unga bunga character.
Eula change the meta for being Physical Goddess, I think should adjust a little so that everyone could use Elemental Mastery effectively.. specifically element based Characters in the game For Example League of Legends used Ability Power for Mages/Magic Damage Attack and Critical Damage for DPS Characters/AD Carries True Damage for Assassins which Can't be interrupted by shields/etc.
I think there's one other aspect besides a high attack weapon and consistent melts you failed to touch upon, and that's Bennett's burst. It's pretty much a requirement to get attack high enough to make an EM sands worth it. Furthermore, in this case, with Diluc being pyro, Bennett also means 25% more attack %, which also helps shift the balance toward EM. So you need to factor in where your Bennett goes (say for in the Abyss) when making those artifact choices. Tenten has a video called "Bennett is the TRUE KING of elemental mastery" that goes into when an EM sands is worth it, and as the title might spoil, Bennett is a huge part of it. Sadly, the video doesn't go into what happens if you have characters that add EM, like C6 Diana (potentially with Elegy), Albedo, or Sucrose, and how much of that you need to shift the desired stat back to attack %.
This same EM vs ATK debate applies to other characters as well. For example people like to regurgitate that EM is bad on Venti and that it's better to build him like a DPS with ATK% sands. Well all you have to do is test it yourself if you want to know the answer, and you would see that the difference in damage between the two builds is pretty minimal and as far as which one pulls out ahead depends on what you're fighting. So long story short don't listen to what people claim is the correct answer because it's often situational and dependent on the substat rolls.
I think if you have WGS or Unforged+Zhongli and Bennett on your team, EM sands is better cause you will have a lot of attack anyway through all the buffs.
The only 5 stars I want are Jean and Diluc. This guy makes me feel better about the amount of money I’ve spent on this game since he has spent so much.
i usually feel proud of my diluc until today when i try to do "in the mountain" quest , and i found my diluc quite helpless and weak against a bunch of hilicurls, samaculrs and abyss mages.... (Diluc was supposed to kill those cryo enemies easily, but it wasnt the case)
The fact that I use the F2P crafting weapon on diluc and I use elementary mastery sand on him cause I don’t have 4 piece Crimson Witch of Flames on him so my melt , vaporize and overload dmg is low so I use an elemental mastery sands to cover that up :(. Plus my diluc keep burning himself to death so I put 2 piece crimson and 2 piece lavawalker , I know my it sucks but I gotta use what I have
Tenhas crit dmg and rate ratio makes me feel so bad with my 70% crit rate and 150 crit dmg ratio lmao. Makes me wanna farm the crimson witch domain again but nah, fuck that. That domain is nightmarish
Agreed, my yanfei is at 60/160 right now and I don’t plan on going back there again... it’s cursed and for some reason ATK% sands is so rare and even when I manage to get one there’s no crit substats so I ended using an off piece😨😨😨 I don’t get bad luck like this on other domains, at least I get something decent out of a couple runs
