Glad I ran into this video! Picking up my dog from Boston airport this weekend (Max, a 12-week old Siberian Husky pup is flying in from Indiana, so not too bad, hopefully). Thanks for sharing!
Does a flight scare the dog badly? I am picking up a standard poodle puppy in a few months and worried it will change their fearfulness moving forward.
In most cases the dogs do really well. My puppies are sent in the belly of the plane which is climate controlled. I have heard of people using medication to help subdue the puppies before flight (I've personally never done that) Make sure you take it slowly when you first meet your dog. They will naturally be unsure and a little confused when they get off the plane. Don't overwhelm him with a bunch of attention and praise. It could actually make the dog more nervous. Its also important not to coddle any nervous behavior when your dog 1st arrives. Be calm and subtle with your emotions. Sitting quietly with a new puppy is priceless. Good luck and have fun with the new dog 🐕
Hello Guys! I need some help! I’m gonna pick up my puppy at the airport in Dallas Texas on February 10th, and I’m kind lost, because this is the first time, and I want to know if I still can pick up my puppy even if I’m not a citizen in the US? Can I pick up the dog just with my passport, or do I need to send someone else, who are a citizen to pick up my puppy? Thank you
I don't know the exact answer to this question but I would check with the airline that the dog is flying in on. I would ask if your passport will qualify as a form of ID to prove that the dog belongs to you. I would assume so, but I can't be 100% sure.
@@tameekisfly Not sure how your registration paperwork was filled out but it will take cooperation from the breeder if it was signed and registered with limited registration
