Cool. I used two 2' x '3 Mohawk commercial floors mats to do a vintage Sears/Craftsman 10 drawer top box (c. 1980) for about $15. The tools sink into the material a tiny bit and really stay put.
Thx for the vid. That's a decent deal. I like the color choices also. I would NEVER pay full price. But for $2 a foot (drawer width) I'd consider it. But it a little thin. Harbor Freight runs just over $1 a ft for 1/8
It’s robust enough that it doesn’t need to be thick like the cheaper options. Also given the drawer size, the height of the drawer barely fits some of my tools and batteries so if I went with anything thicker they would probably fall over or hit. Also I wanted thinner matting because I’m going to 3-D print some socket holders and put magnets on the bottom of them so they stay in one area since the deep sockets are top heavy when placed in a rack holder.
