I use the Smallrig 2094 but NOT on a DSLR, I use it on my Panasonic HC-X1 video camera which has a handle already fitted but I find the Smallrig allows me to add off camera monitor via the 15mm rod attachment which I like. The Smallrig is also extremely well engineered. Happy Christmas :-)
