Always great to have an inexpensive rod you can stow in the car or kayak hatch just in case. I may have to go with the 8' MH though. Should be fine for surf fluke. Throw it over your shoulder with a couple of bucktails in your pocket and fish almost anywhere.
i order the st croix 4 piece travelign surf rod since december and finally arrive. i will test and let u know. this goture my friend broke it after he swing tooo hard
