The best decision that HHH has made is that everybody feels like they matter. The one thing I’ve always hated about WWE is that it was always about one guy being treated as the golden child while the rest of the roster are treated as canon fodder. It’s OK to have a top guy to carry your company, but I think it’s ridiculous to do that because it’s not a one-man show. No disrespect to Roman Reigns, but it really annoyed me the way they didn’t allow anybody to get at his level because they were just focused on one guy and if you do that, the creative process will suffer just like it did for a whole decade.
Honestly with the Jey decision I kind of agree with this. It does feel a little more like everybody's going to get some kind of moment in the near future. They might not always win but they are going to get some kind of spotlight to show why they should be here, which I am honestly kind of loving. I was super cynical regarding Jey and I'm super excited for whatever developments going forward because there's just something about this new era that is making me go. Oh I'm super excited now!
I agree 100%. I can’t even count the amount of times I used to read that someone wasn’t on TV because they “didn’t have any creative plans for them” or something like that. This would often include really talented wrestlers or even wrestlers who had literally just won titles, making me wonder why they won the title in the first place. Now, even if everyone isn’t going to be a world champion, they all have a role and they all have something to do on TV every week, which should’ve been the default all along and it gives us a reason to actually watch and get invested in the show.
@@yygysgtyfugunvtthere's a difference between having a top star while everyone else suffers vs having a top star while also having other main eventers, great mid card and great under card superstars
Thank you! I've been saying this for years but people called me a hater for it. That was one of the biggest reasons smackdown bested raw from 2020-early 2023. They hindered everyone and only focused on roman.
And a great champion as well. Rollons was the workhorse trying his best to elevate that title when roman took the other world title to a whole new level
Day 137 of asking Santi to make a “Mt Rushmores of WWE” video E.g. Mt Rushmores of technical wrestlers, sellers, comedy characters, mic workers, best heels, greatest matches, finishers, managers, entrance themes, tag teams and GOATs
My favourite Triple H moment is definitely CM Punk being back also even if Vince actually did stay Punk would still be in the WWE because it was confirmed that Punk and Vince actually hugged
Personally all of the main Wrestlemania 40 build up, loved every second of it and every characters involved. Especially it was amazing how the storytelling intertwined was able to move from the tag team match to the family fight between the Usos passing through the fact that Rollins also had to think about the world championship and the match with Drew who in turn was thinking too much about Punk. And we had confirmation of that in the main event when all the interferences and all the participants in that match brought with them a whole series of incredible narrative and character psychology. The crazy thing is the fact that all of that happened because of many internal changes, ended up to being one of the most wilds and chaotics road to Wrestlemania ever, and precisely for that, I think the pay off was 100% worthy
Definitely letting the announcers be themselves. Like it's so great to hear how they genuinely feel about certain things without an angry old man screaming in their ears every time. Cole's reaction to Cody finishing the story is one of my favorite moments from Cole by far
This. Imagine back in the 2010s unironically saying that Michael Cole gets to be seen and recognized as one of the best play by play guys of all time, at the epitome of "Vince in the ear" yes-man shill Cole. His work now under Papa H really has redefined the guy's career in hindsight.
Only because he’s a self made millionaire & has other shit to do & his schedule can’t work with wwe schedule. I’m sure if he was able to clear up his schedule for like 2 months or so he would definitely. Based on a celebrity reign that’s literally on the move everyday it wasn’t bad & the matches delivered.
Facts Michael Cole is really in his prime now in commentary now that Vince is no longer yelling in his ear. Plus Joe Tessistore is really improving so much and his commentary at the main event of Raw between Bron Breakker and Main event Jey Uso he made it feel really important and his speech was spot on too 🔥🔥
11:33 That's the moment that made me start watching at all. I saw it on RU-vid and the crowd reaction really spoke to me. Elimination Chamber was my first PLE I watched to see Sami.
You can make a full-length video with back-to-back comparisons of Santi changing his opinion on a matter right after thing happened. One of the best and recent examples would be Jey Uso win,he spent weeks saying "Oh sweet summer child,Jey Uso will never lose a title" and then never acknowledged that he said anything like that, when Jey won a title
I was so disappointed at the time but Drew losing to Roman at Clash At The Castle in 2022. This was probably the first time I truly trusted in WWE and wanted to let it play out. It was the catalyst to Drew doing his best work.
day 88 of asking santi for a video where former nxt or main roster wwe superstars/factions would be in there wwe careers if they never left or never got released.
Ye I wanna see him do a little universe content that would be fun like santi joins nxt for 5yrs or an actual raw, smackdown story line universe mode whatever but santi line rules would be fun Content
So you want hhh to kill nxts development system that makes breakker,Tiffany,Melo, oba Femi tick just so he can bring back an Indy black and gold that doesn't focus on WWE's future ?risk all this just for great weekly matches?
It was all of these moments for me including triple h giving a Rhodes a championship win cause Vince never did any of the Rhodes family but triple h knows Cody earns it very well and we thought it wasn’t going to happen but it happened
The only other time I really enjoyed months and months in a row was when WCW and ECW did the Invasion. That was a great time to be a wrestling fan too as you saw your favourite wrestlers from all these promotions in the one place and the match ups were so much fun. Having said that, that build to WM40 was something else.
The transformation of Dominik Mysterio so far is his greatest booking achievement so far. Dom went from boring and one of the worst, to one of (if not the) most entertaining and heat gemerating wrestlers
What brought me back to wrestling after over 10 years was my friends and the bloodline storyline going into WM 39. Definitely was the perfect time to get back into it.
I’ve been watching wrestling since before I can remember. I had Hulk Hogan toys as a toddler and watched religiously from the new gen era through the attitude era and stopped watching during the botched WCW invasion. Kept up with classic matches, but didn’t come back til 2010. Miz’ heel work building up to WMXXVI is what brought me back. Crazy lol
Minor PLEs should be splitted between raw and smackdown. 1 event per month that lasts like a regular episode of raw and contain the same amount of matches is criminally low. And MITB should replace Series as fall major PLE.
best booking decisions: men's storylines worst booking decisions: women's storylines, tag team division like seriously, it's frustrating that people on twitter can write a better story for the women in an hour than the creatives do full time. The men's storylines have been incredible, but it's obvious that they don't think women can tell the same stories. The fact that they were able to make Punk and Drew so good from NOTHING is just shameful when you look at the state of Rhea and Liv and their entire history. Where is that energy for them? Why are they not giving promos about how Rhea betrayed her and how much their relationship has soured? Why are they not focused on tearing each other's head off? WHY ARE THEY FOCUSING ON A MAN IN A WOMEN'S TITLE FEUD?!?! it's just so reductive.
Triple H is not over with Dom, he is the perfect sneaky villain that if pushed properly could become dare I say a main eventer...I know I know somebody is ready to say i know nothing about wrestling but nobody tought that Priest,Jey uso,La Knight,Bronson Reed etc. would be pushed but here they are. He could be the kind of guy that starts to win championships(midcard) by assists from his peers and then he could go to bigger championships alone once the JD story is over, using every sneaky way possible to survive another day with the title. There are a lot of ways that this could start but for example a year and a half maybe two years from now, he betrays Finn, after some time wins the championship, holds it for 4-5 months and then lose it against a returning Demon Balor done right (so I'm suggesting for Dom Dom to go triple heel).
I just realized The two top pics for the money in the bank that took place this year after loosing that opportunity just got their own respective championship months later
You going back to the old set up before the basement was as good as any HHH booking decision, no hate to the basement setup, it’s just that I like this one too.
The fact that triple H was a wrestler himself is the reason he knows exactly how to book all aspects of the program from the mid card to the main event and everything in between.
-Drew not winning at CATC 2022 -Booking Cody vs Solo as the SS main event -Adding seth rollins to the Punk/Mcintyre feud -Chad Gable not facing Gunther at WM and losing at Catc 2024 -Not paying off the Otis/Gable storyline -Booking the most predictable PLE of all time (Bash in Berlin) -Taking forever to pay off literally any storyline -Sami winning at MITB 2024 -Roman defending his title once every 6 months -Logan Paul’s title reign -Putting Cody on smackdown after mania 40 instead of RAW
@@cazzok -That led to Drew’s awesome heel turn. -True -I was sports entertained and Punk/Rollins is probably going to be a Mania 41 feud so planting the seeds makes sense. -True -True -Predictable doesn’t mean bad, it means the stories are making logical sense. -That’s fair in some cases. -Yeah, you’re probably right. -That wasn’t his fault, Vince gave Roman the stupid part time contract. But Roman should have lost at Mania 39 because of that contract. -True, but I get why they put the belt on Logan Paul. -What? And have both world titles on Raw and neither on Smackdown? Or have Cody on Raw and move Damien Priest and the rest of Judgement Day to Smackdown? I really don’t get that last one.
So now because the last RAW in fully Football season going against NFL matches and because everyone thought the ic championship match was a filler had the lowest ratings in a while we need to act that the product is going bad and this isn't one of the hottest moments the company has ever been? We all need to remember that in 2024 the TV views for a Wrestling show in general are of course much less and infact RAW from next year is going to be on a streaming service... And remember, quantity doesn't mean quality...because in 2019 Smackdown had about 4/5 milions views on FOX, but we all know how bad the product was...
@hankquinlan4768 Not only raw, sd had ~1.5 million viewers, nxt is even worse and after they swap stations it will do much worse. The problem, in my opinion, is that the main guys don't have matches on TV for the majority of shows. Not every storyline needs 9 months plus to come to the ending you knew happens after 3 weeks.
@@user-ii4ll it's the only place where you can see the full show in their main market. I would say a company that produces TV shows for a living does indeed give a f about the ratings.
@@masterganzo There was literally a WWE championship match two weeks ago on Smackdown...I can agree on the feuds that don't need to be necessary long, but when infact they do a surprising title change on a simple episode of RAW like happened this Monday, the majority of the viewers didn't watched because they thought it wasn't worthy knowing that there wouldn't have been a title change. And that's the reason why for the next episode more viewers will tune in, because you showed at your fans that every shows can be important
Not going to lie his booking really isn’t that good, I can’t be the only one thinking this.. I think the highest of highs kinda cover up all the bad things he does
