I love that you tie your hair back when you apply skincare and makeup. So many RU-vidrs leave their hair hanging by their faces which always slightly irritates me as I want every strand of hair out of the way when I’m working on my face. I’m new to your channel and have enjoyed what I’ve seen so far. Keep up the good work.

I do this same thing specifically using a hydrating foundation and concealer, but then my nose is a different story - it always seems to need powder, as do the hollows of my cheeks; so afterwards, I then follow with a translucent loose setting powder in the exact same way: spray sponge (I use the flat end), then cover it with loose powder and dab it on the back of my hand until there is NO more powder transferring, then PRESS the sponge around my nose and cheek hollows and give it a tiny wiggle. 😁 I've found this leaves me with the least amount of transfer, now the same as the rest of my face! YAY! 42 y.o. normal to dry skin, except my nose which is still a mystery to me. LOL

Great tip! I tried it after seeing Risa’s video about it recently, and it definitely helped. I just turned 55, and have always received compliments on my skin, BUT since around 40-45ish my under eye darkness has been a major issue for me. I pretty much watch every single video on the topic, and buy every single product ever mentioned. Yet I do not remember seeing this particular hack. I have dry skin, so I am concerned about putting anything especially drying under my eyes, but I only wear make up a couple times a week, so I am not too worried about it. But tapping in a bit of setting spray and then lightly dusting with powder is the only way I have found that I CAN use any powder under my eyes without it looking cakey.

Hey dear, I tried this method but instead of using a setting spray I used a hydranting spray like the pixi milky one and the result was great. I think this is more practical for every day make up. Love

Ooh, what a great idea! Using the setting spray keeps my under eye area looking smooth all day, but by the end of the day it felt tight and rather dry. I was going to give it a go with the new Hourglass spray I just got since it doesn’t contain alcohol, but I forgot I have the Pixi Milky Mist in one of my makeup drawers! That will be a much more affordable option than using the Hourglass. Thank you!

I saw Risa's video and was so excited to try it b/c even following your under eye instructions, I still get creasing. And seriously, I'm hardly using any product! Anyhow, the first time I tried it, it worked ok but there was still very slight creasing by the end of the day. The other 2 times I tried it, it didn't make any difference. And I had the same problem as you when I tried it with the elf hydrating concealer, it pulled some of the product up. I didn't reapply, but I still had creasing! And I used the Laura mercier powder as well. On another note, I tried the tip on my t zone, only I sprayed the area rather than tapped it on, then applied my powder and it kept my t zone more in tact and less shiny.

I had seen this on Risa's channel too. Ladies over 50 or those who can't use powder under the eyes, this trick still works with just setting spray step and no powder. Powder still makes you look wrinkled IF you can't use powder under eye

What kind of concealer are you using? I’ve tried 300+ concealers and now that I’m over 40 they all look like garbage under my eyes. I have super dark circles and super dry under eyes. It’s so bad I haven’t left my house in 2 years. My eyes need serious help and nothing works. When I was younger I could wear anything and now I refuse to be seen in public

I have been following Risa for several years but it is important to note that she is an oily girl and I expect she can tolerate the alcohol in setting sprays better than some of us. My face is pretty oily but not under my eyes. I have started using setting spray before finishing powder on my face and it is definitely smoother but like you, I will be sticking to the LM setting powder for my undereye concealer. Better to pat it in occasionally than to have flakes under my eyes.

I have tried this for a few days now. I have used both the Maybeline age rewind, and also the Milani conceal and perfect and the upper middle pan from my ghost pallet by Hourglass. This little hacked worked great for me!!! I have very dark circles under my eyes, puffiness ( from allergies ) and those little fine lines around the corners. The Laura Mercier powerder does NOT work for me!!!!! I look like the crept keeper when I use that product!!!! For me....it definitely helped my under eye area look a little smoother. This might not be something I will do everyday, but if I'm not running behind, I'll sure be taking the extra minute or two to do it!!!

I watched Risa's video a couple of days ago and had the same result you had on the second go round with concealer breaking down. Thought I might not have the correct setting spray. Some time ago you had a video on the different types of setting sprays. Do you think different setting spray formulas will make a difference? Are their any good ones fragrance free? Definitely smoother! Check-in minimal difference. I use the Laura Mercier Under Eye Brightening Powder. Have you used that one? just wondering if there is a difference. I purchased the Revolution Prime & Lock (I think that's what it's called) for the lid, but I find it rather emollient it doesn't seem to set a lot, so I'm using a tiny bit under my eye and then my concealer with a smidge of powder not sure if it's working as far as my concealer not creasing, but just thought I would use up the product some how. I'll try the hack though!

Tried this with Armani Stretch concealer,Milani Make It Dewy setting spray,By Terry hylauronic setting powder and the look is fabulous, really eliminated creasing. I’m 70 with few under eye wrinkles however do smile a lot and get those little horizontal creases. Alcohol is about halfway down on the list of ingredients in the setting spray so I understand your drying concern., I use a teeny amount after the under eye has dried down and by golly am very pleased with the results.

I tried this technique using the Milani Conceal and Perfect concealer, which is a much drier formula than my normal concealer. I was outside in 80 degree heat with my granddaughter and my concealer didn't budge! I normally mix the Milani Conceal and Perfect and the Revolution hydrating concealers and apply powder. I agree with you Gemma, I'll use this when I need my makeup to last a long time. I don't think I am comfortable putting a setting spray under my eyes every time I wear makeup!

It works perfectly for me - (sorry, I was so excited, I didn't watch the whole thing before I posted)!! I use a setting spray without alcohol, No.7 Lift & Luminate Serum Concealer, Elf Mist & Set, Ciate Everyday Vacay setting powder (really dislike Laura Mercier powder, always looks chalky on me). Doesn't crease, doesn't flake, looks good all day. That said - I'm much older than you - perhaps its better on a more mature eye? I use quite a rich under eye cream too, which is why I need to set my concealer (Bobbi Brown Extra Repair).

It works well when your using a waxed base concealer like the Limelife concealer in the TikTok video, it’s a Limelife makeup technique that many of us use because our makeup is Professional grade by Alcone, she also used our Limelife setting spray, it works great when you don’t have time for any touch ups during the day, especially for brides, our foundation is also waxed base and will last all day, it was actually used in the movie Star Wars and the shade Porcelain was especially formulated for Natalie Portman...Best Wishes ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been applying my concealer this way for over a year. 1. Eye cream 2. Undereye primer (smashbox) 3. Apply concealer with a wet sponge. 4. Setting spray (urban decay or smashbox) I spray the same sponge about 2-3 times on the end, squeeze it and dab it on the back of my hand to get off any excess, press under eye and 5. Powder (it cosmetics bye bye pores loose powder) I use the applicator that comes with it or sometimes I’ll use the small blendiful applicator. It’s the only way that I can have a smooth application with concealer. I’m 50 and fine lines and wrinkles are a definite issue under the eye.

Mostly, I would use it for an evening out, or perhaps an interview. I used a dewey setting spray, and the alcohol burned my eyes, for a moment. No way, in any world can that be good. I use that method but before I put the Concealer on I dot and press in a bit more moisturiser or eyecream for a bit more hydration. Your lashes look gorgeous, would you recommend a home DIY lash lift?? If so what can we use 😊. Xx 🇬🇧

It's risky doing it yourself. I would wait and have it done professionally xxx

I saw this hack yesterday on you tube and tried it out today. I had a no make up make up day so only wore mascara and a little bronzer but used the CT colour corrector which is great as it covers my darkness but does not enhance my eye bags however it only lasts 3-4 hours normally even when I use setting powder before it has disappeared and or sunk into all the lines. So today with the setting spray hack it is still in place and looking pretty good 10 hours later. I am going to try it tomorrow with my Tarte shape tape.

I couldn't use something that would/could dry my under eye but I have used an undereye cream on top of my concealer. Just use a finger and tap it across.

OMG! How do you get your eyebrows so beautiful? Products? Tools? Do you have a video(s) for hope to normalize older - normal slightly sensitive skin that has become oily/dry areas/ congested and easily scarring skin? I am almost at a loss even though I was taught to care for my skin by one of the best and definitely the most loving and beautiful esthetician who ever practiced the art, my Mother.

So, I have a story for you....I work in a hospital with patients dealing with mental illnesses and the other day, I wore my contacts to work instead of my glasses so I decided to put on eye liner, mascara and eye brow product but did not put on under eye concealer. At work, a patient told me that I looked like I had a black eye!! 🤨She’s never said that before so apparently wearing contacts brings out my very apparent dark circles under my eyes!! 🙁 lol.

I tried this method from Risa´s video and it worked wonderfully on me! I´m 35 and I have a few lines trying to show up and sort of a "fold" right underneath both eyes and for that there is nothing to do, but for the rest it did worked really well. I apply my concealer, then apply a little bit of the setting spray and tap, tap, tap, give a minute to dry, and then I use the sponge just to go over, apply very little powder and voilá! Now, the setting spray I use is not so matte, it´s supposed to give you a natural look, maybe that´s the reason is working for me? I don´t know.

I tried this hack out after I saw Risa's video and the same thing happened to me where it smeared all over when I tapped on the setting spray. I will try it with a sponge but I thought it was a fail on the first go round.

I thought both eyes looked the same🤷🏼 but, I would like to try it just coz😂 I'm 53 and I've found this amazing powder for my under eye/T-zone area... RMS Un-powder... I use the translucent one, but, they have a tinted version as well. It is so blurring and finely milled that it just makes the areas you apply it to look awesome!! Don't know if you've heard if the line or not (they have a lot of cream products) but, you should try them if you haven't😁 and fyi... They are a clean product too!! Love your channel😘❤

@@PamperedWolf you caught me... No I didnt😁 I stopped about the time you did your "funny face" and came in really close... They looked pretty close to the same to me. I could see a little difference... But, not enough that anyone would notice without a magnifying glass😂 Your under eyes are pretty flawless anyway❤❤

😳 Your WHOLE makeup looked exactly the same after 8 hours. Stunning! I couldn't concentrate on your under eye, because you looked so good. At the end of MY day, my makeup is a mess 😂. To the topic: As you said, I would just do this concealer tip on a special day. Love, hugs and kisses Sabine 😘
