Hey Parul! I really like your videos and you guide very well. I have a request. Can you please explain the process and working of a research based masters degree as you yourself did one. Most of the universities in Canada offer research based masters degree and they are also less expensive than course based. Could be please put some light on these and all the things related to it. The job opportunities compared to course based degrees. Is is difficult to get a job after a research based masters as it generally oriented for a PhD. How a 2 years research based master degree works. Do you get a time table and have to take classed or just research work with supervisor? All such things. I am studying at the University of Alberta, its really good. The co-op program is really good, the placement for my major was 95%(internship) this year and the fees are also lower than most top universities. The campus is really nice too!

Ryerson University is going to change its name to Toronto Metropolitan University. It will take years to build or re-establish its name recognition. I would stay away from it.

Bro queens university for masters in cs is one the competitive university. Acceptance rate around 18% even lower than significant universities. I would say it is easy to go in UBC rather than queens in ms cs.

Starting in September 2023, if you study in French at a Quebec university outside of Greater Montreal Area, your tuition will be reduced to $3,000 CAD per year (as compared to $20,000 CAD per year). This program applies to IT, engineering, health and social services, and education. Chance of getting PR in Quebec upon graduation is excellent! You can check out news release yourself.

Engineer is a 4-yr Bachelor degree in university. Engineering technologist and technician is a 2-yr college diploma. There is a big salary gap between engineer and technician. My recommendation is to study Bachelor in Electrical Engineering which covers both hardware and software. University tries to cover everything. But only about 15% of what you learned is useful at work; the rest of the knowledge comes from on-the-job training.

In Quebec, colleges (CEPEG) are just prep schools for universities. In Quebec, high school graduation is grade 11; followed by 2 years of college (CEPEG); followed by 3 to 4 years of university. Other provinces have high school graduation in grade 12; followed by 4 years of university.
