I've just bought a Norwegian pressure washer called AVA. The model I got is the P70 mega bundle edition. AVA is a quite new brand that has won a lot of awards for its smart soloutions and innovative design. First the best is that all additional equipment from AVA fits all models. Simple and easy! Secondly all AVA high pressure washers from AVA has a short gun. You can chose if you want to connect your nozzles or foam cannon directly to the gun or use a lance. Connecting the nozzles or foam cannon directly to the short gun makes it much easier to handle and work in a tight place for instance cleaning the wheel house. I can't understand why the big brands like Karcher and Nilfisk etc doesn't have these short guns giving you the option to connect your equipment directly to the gun or on a long lance. Check out AVA's pressure washers.
I am sorry to hear that you are having problems like this. Mine will do that also if I have air in the system so hopefully that is the problem because it is an easy fix. It take mine a log time to purge all the air out and it will fill a five gallon bucket 3/4 full before all the air is out. Hopefully this is helpful. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I got all the the air out of the system and everything works great now! I figured 2-3 minutes would have been enough? Matt from Obsessed Garage had the same issue with taking a long time getting air out of the system. Thanks for the advice!

Great video. Thanks for the quick connect ideas and why to add - avoid stripping. I added them yesterday to a new pressure washer I just got, made setup very easy. Also added them to my water spigots and spray nozzle.

My karcher k5 compacts pump has been pulsing since I’ve added my new quick connects even though there’s no leaks anywhere from the machine over an hour if just left with the hose running. I’ve run water through my new hose for a long period of time to clear the air but it only runs for 7 seconds before the pump cuts out and re-kicks in (pulsing). Any ideas?

Matt mormen owner of obessed garage did this couple of years ago with his upgrades 3.0 orfice nozzle 40 degree messured 1000 psi @ 1.45 gpm and 1.1 orifice in the mtm fc great foam in my opinion he is the god father of telling it straight on if a consumer pw is worth it and if upgrades can make it worth buying or its junk so obessed garage figured everything in the video u did before you did but good work !!!

Thank you! I have heard that hard water affects the foam quality and that's a great idea to use distilled water in the foam cannon. You got me thinking and now I am going to have to do some tests. Thanks for the idea and the support on the channel!

@@MeanBee392 I'm an Adam's fanboi so I use all 4 of their options depending on the job being done. The mega foam is awesome, but I feel their car shampoo is slicker and is best for the contact wash portion.
@@violetandi Nothing wrong with that and I am also. I understand that and I as well have all 4 of their soaps. Yes I would definitely agree that the Mega Foam works great and is perfect for a pre wash but you just cant beat the slickness of their Car Shampoo for a contact wash.
Solid upgrades! That was impressive foam even with the stock gun and hose, with Adam's regular shampoo which I really like also! I would like the shorter gun also. Thanks for sharing with us!
Thank you! I was also very impressed with the foam from the Adam's Shampoo from the stock set up and didn't really know if it could get much better but to my surprise it did! Do you use any kind of pump protector fluid so the machine doesn’t lock up? If so, how do you get it into the machine with those quick connects on? The bottle that I have is designed to screw into the garden hose side. I admit, having a quick connector for the hose and the gun would save a lot of time setting up and packing up.

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply buddy. The #1 kit is a really great kit with a better quality parts and especially the SGS28 sprayer! Both kits are great options and will last you a long time so really it all comes down to if you want to spend the extra money but after having and using my sprayer the SGS28 would be a really nice upgrade. Thanks for all the great info. I have the K1700 and never use the attached detergent dispenser since it has to be rinsed out after use. The foam cannon is much more convenient. All the MTM accessories you got are high quality and should last a long time. Question: I believe the 1700 uses M22/14mm Quick Connects. Is that what you got in your MTM kit?

I got them from obsessed garage and he has a complete break down on parts per pressure washer you have. If you need I could do some digging to get the sizes if you cant find them on his website.
Does the connection on handle to hose swivel? This will help the hose maneuverability and ease of use. I looked on the website and I don't think it does?
Of course you are going to have more foam on the car with the second hose set-up....you made twice as many passes over the door, fender, and hood. Not really a valid comparison. I do see the benefit of the shorter more maneuverable hand control, but I cannot see the improvement with the larger diameter hose. I'll keep using my stock hose until it needs replacement. Upgrading the attachments and hose has made it produce a lot more foam. The original hose that came with the pressure washer was junk and the new one is so much better. Like you said the hand control is a lot better for maneuvering. Thanks for watching and commenting! 🐝

I'm trying to buy a greenworks pro 2300 psi 2.3 gpm electric pressure washer from lowes. I just need to figure out what connections I need for the hoses and gun. I like mtm but its just to pricey for me.
Does the Greenworks have the connection sizes listed? MTM parts are a bit pricey but they are worth every penny IMO because they are such great quality. 🐝
Hey. I'm having issues with the Karcher 1700 running dry, no water going through. I have huge water pressure from my hose. I finally took off the quick connects and it worked fine. I'm wondering if I bought the wrong size quick connect from mtm. I let pressure out because I used it. I love the quick connect but I'm getting the running dry Karcher like it's not getting water. What size quick connects did you buy for the Karcher? Or maybe my machine is shot. It worked 2 weeks ago
Sorry to hear you are experiencing problems like this buddy. I would say your machine is not shot because of it working without the quick disconnect fittings. I would believe there is something going on with the fittings and the first place I would start and check would be the rubber seals in the fittings. For people who do not want to spend too much money, I paid $45 tax included on Amazon for 2 sets of solid brass M22-15 quick connect for both ends of the high pressure hose, 2 sets (only need 1 set) of solid brass for the garden hose inlet, a short trigger gun which takes either M22-14 or M22-15 connection (a 14mm to 15mm adaptor included) with a quick connect foam cannon. I also bought a 25 feet Sun Joe high Pressure extension hose, SPX-25H, for $17 from Walmart. That is a total of $62 I also tried the RainX foaming soap, 100oz for $5.50 from Walmart, it worked well. The new green bottle Meguiars hybrid ceramic liquid wax for $15.50, it works better and easier than the older Meguiars hybrid ceramic wax in a blue spray bottle.
Sounds like you got a nice set up at a very reasonable price! How is that Sun Joe pressure hose, does it have good flex or is it hard? That Rain X soap is not to bad of a soap and does work good. @@MeanBee392 The pressure hose is adequate. It does not kink but it tends to coil up too much. It is a little easier to uncoil with the quick connect since the quick connect adaptors can rotate freely.

trust me on this drop the Adams foam.. and get the Chemical Guys ultimate Honey Dew Super foam iy foams much better that the Adams and i know you wont go back to Adams after that bro ;) also Adams tells you to use more product that Chemical Guys does too

Great question but yes a larger hose or nozzles will decrease the PSI but increase the water flow. Smaller hose or nozzles will increase the PSI but decreases the water flow. Hopefully this helps and thanks for watching and commenting!
Actually, this is a misconception. Going to a larger hose does not make any difference (as long as the original hose was of sufficient diameter) since it is the size of the nozzle or tip that controls the GPM and pressure. The hose could be two inches in diameter but the nozzle is the restriction. It is hydraulics.
I honor your opinion but an easy way to think about it is just like a camera and lenses, the camera or pressure washer works great but with the added extra expense of expensive lenses (sometimes more than the camera) just like the accessories for the pressure washer it complements the main unit and makes it perform better. Gman check out the obsessed garage RU-vid channel. Matt did an entire entry level pressure washer series. This particular model puts out around 1.45 gpm at right around 1000 psi using the 3.0 Nozzles.

The density of the stock set up foam is much better. Your comparison was flawed the moment you adjusted the nozzle of the foam cannon from one wand to the gun
