I love you sir. I’ve been detailing cars for almost 2 decades, but never got the balls to start my own business. After my mother passed away, I’m going to jump into this business with no regrets.
I’ve used this for 4 years, let me add a couple extra benefits. Makes an awesome seat when you need to spend an extra few minutes scrubbing wheels. Also, most doors when they open, won’t hit it, so it sits right underneath the door perfectly. I love this vac in my mobile unit. Perfect HP VS size tank.
I use the size 1 and 1/0 Mustad hooks to freeline for snook ru-vid.comUgkxzXmlErSqVAEGWFEKO530BvTqFDw53QW3 and they have been fantastic. The points are super sharp, and the hook is small enough to blend with my baitfish, yet large enough to land fish 30" or more. I also use these hooks when I'm pier or surf fishing with my kids. They tend to catch tons of smaller snapper, whiting, and catfish, and we get far fewer gut hooks with these Mustad in-lines, which means more of them survive after release. I was actually using these hooks when I caught my friend too, but I think that had more to do with the bait I was using ;-)
I had this unit for a good 8 years. I love it. I wouldn’t get another unit. Everyone should make a square vac. It’s so much more versatile in the storage Dept. Regular style vacs are too bulky and space consuming.
FYI, this vac and the Ryobi pressure washer you show in your other video are both $10 to $15 cheaper at home depot when compared to Amazon. Great content. Thanks for sharing
I just went down to the home Depot and picked up a Ridgid 4 gal 5 hp unit and the car accessory kit for 130 bucks. The vacuum was on sale for 80 and I got the kit for another 40.
Those extra attachments you said that mount in your garage actually mount easily to the side of the vacuum unit. Bought this shop vac about 2.5 years ago and still no regrets. Would be great if it took a Ridgid battery similar to some DeWalt set ups but it is what it is, still a great vac!
I own this vacuum along with the orange extension cord. I love how compact this is. It certainly has plenty of power to do any job for detailing cars or anything else around the house. But it’s also very compact the store. I think the orange extension hose is a must. The hose that comes with this is just simply too short to use in a car. Anyway, great vacuum. Reasonable price. Definitely a good value.
I love the Ridgid I got. It has 6hp wet/dry vac (4Gal) with a detachable blower (Although while the blower is nice and can be used to dry your vehicle it is a bit underpowered imo for it) The suction is perfect. I also bought the separate car cleaning hose/attachment kit which after using it for months it is an absolute buy and the hose alone makes all the difference and the attachments are exactly what you want/need. Ill say personally I like having wheels but I also never had it roll away and just love dragging it around with a hose tug....I could understand though if your on a incline/decline.
I've been watching your videos since you had like 3,500 subs dude. I asked myself "Is this guy going to grind and put in all the work to get to 50k, 100k, 250k? He has the knowledge but he's gonna be dedicated. Glad to see you at 125k amigo! Thank you for the content 😁
I've been eyeballing this unit for a while, I really like the storage capability and NO WHEELS. I have the little RIGID unit with the wheels, and although I do like it's performance the wheels drive me nuts, the extra bulk, and the rolling away. Great review very thorough, I will be getting one of these.
there's a different hose kit that might work great that is still a 1in and 7/8 but orange flexible hose but Not condensed at the end and comes with a lot of attachments. model: LA2570 1in and 7/8 hose, with different adapters 10ft. thanks for your awesome video!! hope you still like this vac!!
5 horse power is a must . Have the other orange small rigid (wheeled 5 hp) and they last me about 2 years. May add this one as a back up/home unit. Thanks for the review
Thanks for your input because I just started to invest in doing our vehicles at home (we actually got a 300 and a Lexus es 350) and I was just thinking about a vacuum that was wet/dry that I could use. I was thinking about getting one with the wheels but you made an awesome point about not having wheels. We have a incline in our driveway and I didn't think about that or standing on it to do our SUV (although I'm 265) nor just sitting on it to do tires, rims, trims, bumpers 🤔. Anyway excellent post, I've actually stumbled across you on last week and I've learned so much about washing, cleaning and overall detailing of a vehicle. Alot has changed in 20 years.
Josh, can you do a video of what you would buy as to an electric power washers and the acc. that you would buy with it. Lots of reviews are fine but it just makes picking the right one more of a challenge. You use these and have experience with what works best. We know it is just your opinion it’s up to us if we take your advice.
Nice vid. Nice compact vaccum I have the Milwaukee 18 volt which is perfect for my car/ application. I believe it's smaller, but you can't charge batteris all day. Nice review. Thank you.
I have the orange version I’m not sure if there is a difference other than color but wish I would’ve got it in red lol but awesome little vac I love it!
I really like this vac. I need and want something small for both my personal vehicles and my pet grooming trailer. with regards to my pet grooming trailer I actually wouldn't be vacuuming up a ton of hair at a time, because of the fact that my clients are on regular schedule and I put hair in the trash can right away instead of vacuuming up a lot of hair. Plus I definitely would empty it at the end of every day and in between clients as necessary. I really like the idea that I could use this as a step stool as well. Would it get in the way if the hose was always attached? I might like to leave it attached perhaps not. I just really like the rectangle box and being able to use it as a step stool and just in general being smaller. Thanks for this great review!
The one I ordered, says it comes with a 6 foot 1 7/8" hose, and it also comes with the premium 10 foot hose, which says it's the same size from what I can tell from reading about it
The Vacmaster Beast's look exactly like the somewhat older Craftsman XSP series vacs. I have one and I must say that my Rigid has noticeably better suction.
@@BlackHawkPSU just search best car detailing vacuum. In one video they put it up against 7 other vacuums including a rigid similar to this one and the suction on the Beast is unmatched. Although it does appear like an almost identical design to the Craftsman.
I'm literally on my way to Home Depot to buy the Ryobi 3 gal. 18v cordless vac. ($105) It's also a blower. Have you reviewed this vac? Thank you for another great video Josh!
The battery powered ones don’t seem to keep the power consistently and don’t run long on full power. I have the Milwaukee stick vac and my go to is Ridgid corded just like the one in this video. But Project Farm did a cordless vac review and found the Ridgid cordless to best the others.
I have had one for 6 months. it is OK. good for light maybe medium duty. it is also the first ryobi item I have had and issue with. one of the contacts in the lid for the battery somehow pushed out and not will not work. warranty taking care of it. still love Ryobi but for serious details... Id say get this one.
Hey josh I know you’re a busy guy, I actually brought this one and I use it for my personal use I live in the Dominican Republic and I’m ready To open a nice car wash here but I truly believe it ain’t strong enough for a car wash, anything stronger you can recommend me ? I only need 2 good vacs, that have a strong suction. Hope you can help me with a response. Thanks 🙏🏻
A couple years ago I was driving home from the mall and after dropping off a client's car I got on the highway exit someone had lost one of those out of the back of their truck orange and black Ridgid. It works perfect still to this day I wish I can find the accessory kit
Score!!! I have an orange and black one too! Yea I haven’t been able to find the exact hose replacement but the orange crease proof hose is better quality anyways
i got 3 of these the orange 1 and 2 red 1s love them had them for years best of the beat i also have the other unit you have in this video plus i have the biggest unit they sell the steel model ridid is king of the vacs love the video 1 luv Reema nyc
I was looking to buy the 16 gal one because of the price and includes a blower to dry the car… if you may, can you do a review on that one? Love your videos, thanks for all the content and the details.
wish i had found this about 6 months ago , i would have spent the extra money cause i hate the small round one i have cause of last of hose and accessory storage.
In my country we use a 240v as the grid voltage whereas the machine is 120v ... Secondly importing will cost me 3 almost 4 times the price of the vacuum.
Just started watching your channel. Big fan and I've bought several of your recommendations, thank you. Need some advice on a car detailing vac. I like one that hangs on the wall, though I am open to a floor model, what about the Bissell Garage Pro? Looks really cool but I get the impression that it doesan't have the suction for great auto detailing. I'm just a homeowner who likes to keep his cars clean, so just a hobby detailer. Thanks for your help.
Can you do a review Of the big Rigid vacuum and blower. Mainly I would like to know if you can hook up a soft hose to the blower and use it to dry cars.
Hey Josh, looking to buy a shop vac asap. Seen your video about the Ripclean kit. The Ridgid in this video has a 4.5 gallon tank, however I see a lot of folks using the Ridgid Wd4070 which has a 4 gallon tank with the Mytee or Ripclean kit. Have you tested your shop vac to see how much water it actually holds? Seems like the compartment for accessories takes up space in the tank? I know a bigger tank would probably be more idea, but I really like the compact size of your vac or the Wd4070. Let me know your thoughts, please.
i see one on the hope depot store it’s called 4.5 Gallon 5.0 Peak HP ProPack Wet/Dry Shop Vacuum with Fine Dust Filter, Expandable Locking Hose and Accessories… i can’t seem to find the difference and it’s like 20 cheaper… i’m i missing something?
Do you find the hose kinking at all on the rigid? That's why I need to get rid of my current vacuum, the hose basically, permanently, is kinked at the connection point to the vacuum. Trying to avoid that!
Hey Josh can I add a extractor nozzle to this to remove wet product from car. Also do you recommend a 5.0 hp or can I use less then 5.0 hp. Also can change the filter to a wet filter with this.
I CALL BS ON THESE VAC'S THAT SAY 5HP IF EACH HP IS 746 WATTS THEN THAT WOULD BE 3,730 WATTS AND WOULD TRIP A 20 AMP BREAKER THAT CAN HANDLE 2400WATTS MAX 1800 WATTS IF YOU FOLLOW 80% RULE
Yea that rating isnt super accurate. you nailed it. I have a new gauge that i picked up and will be testing some vacs side by side to see who is actually the most powerful
Hi Josh. I am inspired by your video. I am interested in detailing and start my own business. But need help with getting to gether would help pls. I can send you my email address if are willing to do so. Thank you.
