I came to the conclusion that I’m interested because it’s a mostly nondescript and often not thought about home appliance. Most people go though out their life not considering vacuum quality or thinking about the technology that makes it. I find that interesting. It’s interesting to discover the workings behind a such a common household product. Plus I just like having clean floors and this channel helped me understand how to best achieve that.
It's at the forefront of tech for the home. The technology is innovative and impacts us In a physical way. One of the few things you can buy that's worth ever penny.
It’s absolutely stunning to me how advance these systems are getting. There’s so many impressive innovations from so many different companies. I can’t wait to see what your testing reveals.
@1:55 as a Roborock Q Revo owner I can say that this feature (start with vacuuming the carpets/rugs before washing anything to keep the mop dry) is already in the current software and has been for quite a while. I bought mine in august last year in France and the app had this feature. So this is not new at all, at least not for the Q Revo.
I bought the Dreame L20 from an overstock guy, only $600 brand new and sealed. Couldn’t be happier. Looking forward to the next level of innovations. If I would have paid full price for the L20 I would have been pissed now the X30 is coming out. My S5 Roborock is still going strong.
Great coverage, thanks so much for putting this together. What an exciting time for robot vacuums, can’t wait for your upcoming testing of some of these models!
Narwal solutions seems very innovative. But the disposable bag is not good idea if you have to buy new bags. Nice they added regular robot dustbin. But again, the base itself does not empty the regular robot dustbin. The conical main anti-tangle brush and dirty water sensor are genius!
If the Roborock S8 Ultra was already that good with all those features, i'm super looking forward to videos on the s83 Maxv ultra; The corner brush and mop seem like great upgrades
Fascinating stuff. Slightly jealous of the new roborock features. We have the last flagship and of course it's absolutely fine and does not need replacing yet. So we'll have to wait....
it's so cool that you were able to attend! you made it into the tech world :D I'll be waiting for your hands one review before buying anything in advance tho lol
that feature where it can be hooked up to a water line the ecovaces has they don't advertise it or anything but if you go to the back of its base station there is a cap like thing that will pop off and you can hook up a dirty water line and a clean water line
Is scrub pad superior to spinning mops? I don't like it very much, I prefer the spinning mops and I expected the S8 max ultra duper ultra came with that
We have some of those - like Miele canisters, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EhG-SIwgp6E.html Riccar, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9fzz2wSIsOM.html and ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MVZvRYn6dtQ.html
I just purchased the Tineco Floor ONE S5 PRO 2 Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum because you listed it as one of the best it will be here Monday …… I’m soooo like hesitant on if I should return it and wait till April for those new ones to come out 😭🤯……. I also wanted something with steam but now I’m not sure what to do.
Please I need suggestions for pet hairy. It’s embedded into my carpet because I have a golden retriever who sheds constantly and 2 cats. Which vacuum is BEST for pet hair???
buys a S7 max pro in august. "Man, changing the tank water tanks on this is mildly annoying. Well i'll upgrade when they have a system that hooks directly into your homes plumbing" CES 2024 "Fuck..."
I dont know if Id call bagless an advantage. I dont think Ill ever go bagless again. Still annoyed that my Bespoke Jet vacuum doesnt also mop! Seems like an obvious missed opportunity.
3i is 3irobotix. They & Shenzhen Silver Star make most robot vacuums and robot vacuum software on the market. If you've noticed that most Chinese lidar vacuums have similar live mapping support, that is from them.
Why companies like SEBO, Miele are not making into the list? Are they worse than these 2024 product lines? Just curious to know coz i am interested to buy SEBO D4, but if anyone of these is better, I will probably change my mind - just for the price point.
I wonder if this is the year to upgrade my roomba 980 or maybe i should wait one more year 😮😮 i think maybe one more iteration of the technology would be good to stabilize these advancements!! What do you think? 2025 models?
Hi Nice video dude I love you're channel My Ecovacs N8+ can't be fixed so I'll change it. I was thinking about a DreameBOT L10s Pro Ultra which will be out the 31 of this mont. Do you have any information about this model ?
Bugger, so none of the hand held vacuums are any good. Having a long static handle (whether or not it can bend at the head) instead of a fully bendable pipe makes it worthless for my house. I was hoping there'd be a better a better vacuum cleaner than then Miele bagless cat/dog one (which works great for a short while then you realize it's a SCAM as the head is literally designed to fill up with animal hair and dust in areas you can't clean without opening up very well hidden tamper proof screws forcing you to regularly pay for professional cleaning until you learn how to clean it). But... all of the manual hand-helds here are a noticable step backwards in ways I can't budge on
Every time someone tries to repurpose a dehumidifier it fails. It’s a dump idea. Space they used to include the dehumidifier, they could have just had a bigger tank 😂 It’s not going to work if you aircon running.
@@xQKUg9SThe only reason it would be dirty is if the surfaces it collects on and in are dirty. Dehumidifiers are not made to be food safe but the water from them is more than fine to clean with. It's just water.
@@xQKUg9S He stated in the video that they were distilling the water before putting it in the system, so no, it wouldn't be dirty. In fact, it's probably a really great idea as it won't do water stains as it dries up from the minerals in the water. I'd like to see him review it if it really makes a difference
Wow, cool to see that there's an entire section at CES dedicated to vacuums! The last time I bought a vacuum, iRobot was the only name in robot vacuums and Dyson the only one in cordless. Competition is great for the consumer! 🤠 Looking forward to detailed reviews on these products from Vacuum Wars in 2024! ❤
Great coverage. I have to get out to CES next year, however I was still covering it from home. Roborck sure has some impressive machines. The Tineco S7 Combo is strangely missing heated drying for $899. That disappointed me in my testing otherwise excellent water control. The Dreame X30 is a slimmed down L30 Ultra. I have it and will review it when they enable it in the app. It will be interesting to see how Samsung and Eureka price their models. I guess later this year we will see robots pass the 2k mark.
How long until an all-in-one unit also: washes my dishes, takes out the trash, washes my clothes, prepares meals, goes to work for me, and ..., seems really possible as these continue to be perfected. I'm excited and can not wait for this to be possible so more people can spend more time with kids, family and friends and not have to live in such a hasel of hustle life. Now, I just have my live-in CEO housekeeper, and it's fantastic. They will be so much happier when all this is out there. Haha. That's a significant update, as always, CW. Thank you.
Actually, Roborock is not the first to come with this corner-cleaning edge brush feature, back in like 2013 there was the Samsung Navibot CornerClean which had like the exact same thing. It was more a gimmick back in those days but now I believe it will actually make a difference.
EDIT: the new 2in1 Samsung robot vacuum isn’t the first 2in1 from Samsung, TECHNICALLY The original Samsung Navibot models from 2010 came with a mop (a literal swiffer) For those who are wondering, the extending sidebrush isnt really a new thing, it was introduced by Samsung on Samsung Navibot S Cornerclean around 2013-2014 if I remember correctly, and has been continued by Toshiba with their newer robot vacuums. Also another thing, how come roborock keeps adding more powerful motors yet it doesn’t translate well to CFM? I still find it funny how Roborock S8 has lower CFM than Roomba j9 which has a motor of like a toy vacuum? I hope they improved the CFM on maxv Lastly, the Eureka E10 is a rebrand of Midea M9, which AFAIK another cheap no name Chinese things that companies put their name on. Not sure about the other Eureka one tho.
It's just a shame Dreame has such horrible customer support. These new Roborock offerings look interesting though. Not sure it's worth an upgrade from old QRevo unless you really need the better obstacle avoidance.
I remember subbing to you when you had about 1,100 subs. Look at you now! Congrats on all the success, and a big thank you for keeping up with running a super detailed no BS review channel!
This is what I have been waiting for, The Tineco S12 was an absolute beast, S15 was a disappointment, but this Tineco with The Auto Clean Station will destroy everyone! Every other auto clean station requires you to buy bags, Tineco does not
but that means there's one extra set of filters to clean, in my opinion, the most low maintenance solution would be one of those self-clean docks that flush away dust into the sewage system. But then again I'm a bagged vacuum user for convenience
Are you living in 2005? Who uses a bagged vacuum system anymore haha, and please tell me its not disposable bags where you have to purchase more and more and are corded...@@Kubulek17
Ok, whatever company manages to make any of these robotic floor cleaning units significantly quieter than a Roomba gets my money. I don't care about AI features, or additional cleaning features (current Roomba models clean well enough) tbh.
So annoying that roborock still doesnt support Apple Homekit, not sure if its sanctions related or what but seeing a top of the line product with no homekit sucks
Ive been waiting for a bag less high end vacuum for a while. Happy to see there will be robot and regular vacuums that offer this. I just want to have a quick cleaning run and go on with my day and I dont want to have to pay for more bags.
Eureka appears to be doing the thing I'd like to see on a Dyson. For a few years, I've been wondering about the feasibility of having the canister low to the ground and able to be shifted and taken off for other things, particularly in the many reviews that Vacuum Wars has done discussing how the weight is at the top with stick vacuums. It's one of the reasons I still use the upright and not the stick, though I've keep trying searches to see if anyone had cobbled one together out of pvc pipes or something.
it's strange that roborock offers the "vacuum the carpet first" function as a new feature. I have it in S8+ from the very beginning and it's called "priority carpet cleaning". The robot always starts with the carpets first and then cleans the rest of the house. (I use the Xiaomi app, not Roborock)
Hey Vacuum Wars! How long until we see a system that can go up and down stairs. I LOVE the robot vacuum idea but until it can handle several floors it’s just not worth it for me. 😢 Great video. Love your work ❤
You see that PBS has a cartoon for kids called Lyla in the Loop and it's about kids that are obsessed with vacuums and test them out to see which ones perform best.
I have been requesting this for 3 years now. A couple of years ago, the channel responded saying there is not enough competition and technology to start a channel for robotic lawn mowers. Now there definitely is!
ALWAYS BUY A VACUUM WITH A BAG!!! So there was just more awful vacuums being shown? Got it Nobody offering bags. ALWAYS BUY A VACUUM WITH A BAG!!! ALWAYS!
I wish the industry would focus on making smaller form factor robot vacuums (like the switchbot k10+) but looks like the only topic this year was to get rid of trapped hair. Is honestly so disappointing. I wanna get a robot vacuum, but I can't afford to have a device the size of a motorcycle wheel on my department.
There was fexing arm in an Samsung navibot in 2013 or so. They also had an auto emptying dock in different model back then. this was first when I saw both features and it’s possible that patent for flexing arm is expired by now
Although tmi, Smart Tango, a robot vacuum cleaner released by Samsung around 2012, was equipped with a pop-up side brush similar to Roborock. It's nice to see this technology again after 12 years.
I’d like to see a comparison of how well these robots navigate in a typical home as time to navigate effects battery life. I have an old Roborock S5 and it takes about 1min per square meter and does my home in about 4 hrs. I recently tried a dreame L10s and it stumbled around like a drunken sailor requiring multiple recharges to do my entire home. It would take all day and into the evening to finish. Not great when the family gets home and it’s still running. This type of comparison is often left out but I think it is an important consideration.
Great video as always! Was checking your channel all week to finally hear about the new in vacuum robots and it was great. Not sure if it’s me only but I would love to also have more uncut videos from you/the team just going through a booth, doing a longer form video or something like that, not sure if it’s worth the effort but just giving an idea
