This vlog brought back an old memory I had buried deep... One of my high school spanish teachers brought our class to her house to make pupusas by hand, and they were delicious, but SO salty, and I made myself SO sick on them and have never eaten them again. LOL
Hahahhahaa that's hilarious- you're not wrong!!! We usually recycle some footage from regular vlogs into our vegan food tour video compilations. Glad you at least stuck around to watch. Sundays video will be fresh fresh fresh we promise!
The taco sounds yummy. The salad looks yummy!! The Cesar salad is my (Gladys) favorite. Omg, the plantain with those toppings looks delicious!! Another great food tour video. We always get hungry watching your food tour videos 😆 have a great week.
Next time you should try my favorite vegan pupusas that come with 3 things inside: beans, vegan cheese (Daiya mozzarella shreds are the best), and spinach.
Thank you for these videos. I wasn't sure what we were going to do in El Salvador. We even thought about just driving through and not staying long...but these food options and looking at the Airbnb you were in is giving me hope! If you don't mind, what was the wifi situation in the airbnb? I need to know if we can stay during a workweek. My hubs has a lot of Zoom meetings with work. Of course, our CDMX airbnb wifi was terrible so we used the cell hotspot the whole month. It worked, but it was a pain.
The wifi was FIBER- so it was GREAT! We also work full time and Aaron has daily zoom meetings as well, had no trouble at all. There must be something about CDMX, because we had terrible wifi as well and had to use a hotspot. We have whats called a Solis and can pay for a monthly wifi plan whenever needed which is great to have as a backup.
@@VeganVoyagers that's awesome! I definitely saw some footage, and wanted to double check it was via air. I just bought a mini, and antsy about packing it.
Random question but, I'm curious, do you guys speak Spanish? That's unfortunate that you didn't enjoy the bao. That's one thing that I have yet to try vegan. I love pickled onions too, they make everything taste better lol!
Hayden speaks enough Spanish for us to get by. It's VERY helpful to be able to at least understand the language in this region of the world. But even just a basic rudimentary knowledge of some Spanish could be enough. We are pretty good at communicating the basics- directions, how to order food, things like that
@@VeganVoyagers cool yeah, I was just curious as I've never seen it in your videos. I'm in the process of learning Spanish now and want to become fluent. 😊
Yeah, a lot of times when we talk to the camera we are speaking more to our audience, but generally we speak Spanish when out and about. We would love to be fluent in Spanish as well!
Kind of disappointed you didn't try authentic salvadorean food. Plantains and refried beans for breakfast, Casamiento, plantain empanadas with beans, tamales de elote or pisques, or yuca con curtido. You could have ordered panes without the chicken, it's just loaded with veggies and salsa.
We spent two years traveling through Central America and have tried all of those dishes a number of times throughout the different countries. They just didn’t make it into this particular video but are in a lot of our other videos.
