With frequent business travel, sticking to a skincare regimen can be tough. That's why I was happy to find liteleeextra rice berry vitamin C serum. I've been using it for about 2 months now, and it has become an essential part of my daily skincare regimen. The serum comes in a handy size that's TSA-friendly that fits perfectly in my carry-on bag. Despite its small size, it packs a powerful punch. I've noticed a visible improvement in my skin's brightness and clarity since I started using it. The serum has a light texture that quickly absorbs, making it easy to apply before my riceberry moisturizer and makeup. I appreciate that it's free of fragrance and doesn't leave any sticky residue. Whether I'm on long flights or quick trips, this serum keeps my skin looking fresh.

I like to use a daily vitamin C serum in my everyday skincare, so I chose the Riceberry Vitamin C serum. This serum is excellent, feather-light and non-tacky. After using it, it leaves my skin glowing and fair and addresses dark spots, gradually reducing their appearance in my skin.

I used a vitamin c serum back in July and ended up with 2 weeks of tiny bumps all over my face. At first I thought it was heat rash but it was so bad. Went to a derm and it turned out that the vitamin c did give me a reaction but the derm recognized more and sent me to see a rheumatologist. After many tests it turned out I have MCTD. Imagine trying skincare only to have a reaction that leads to the discovery of an unrelated autoimmune disease.

Thanks for sharing. The same happened to me. Used vitamin c broke out into a tiny rash accompanied by those painful bumps that then ripen and burst. Sorry for the graphics. I do have PCOS and was told by my dermatologist I'd never be rid of adult acne but only be able to manage it. What is your condition and how are you managing your skincare if you don't mind sharing? Thanks.

@@Ready120100 i have pcos too but my curse from that is hirsutism. Right now my skin is pretty normal. I don't usually react to products so the vitamin c reaction was a first. Up until my late 20s I had oily skin with a lot of blackheads and back-ne. Now I get them less frequently. I did start to use Differin gel mainly for the anti aging benefits and now I use tretinoin cream .025% and any bakuchiol product i have on hand. Right now im using the good molecules bakuchiol oil for dry skin but the smell is disgusting so i would not recommend. Beyond that it's simple cerave face lotion, sunscreen and a consistent routine with it all.

I’ve been afraid of vitamin c because I thought they were all the same, and every product I tried seemed to make me break out. After watching this I started reviewing old products I used in the last…lo and behold, THD was the only vitamin c derivative i hadn’t tried. I bought the Pillowtalk Derm moisturizer per your suggestion a few weeks ago and it is a DREAM for my oily / acne-prone skin!! It’s become my daily ❤ Also really happy to finally find a black woman esthetician who understands pigmented skin. THANK YOUUUU 🙏🏽

Hi Dr. Stephens! I'm like 5 minutes new to your videos & I've been able to find most of the answers to my questions, but I have a few that I haven't seen. I am turning 54 (passing for 45) in a few weeks & my parents genes are AMAZING!! I've never had facial skin problems (acne, dark spots, wrinkles, dry patches) that some people of color have. I recently fell ill & lost 60+ pounds very rapidly & in an unhealthy manner. I'm an autoimmune patient & have had 'moon face' for the past 20 years from medications. I have high cheek bones & now that I'm recovering, I'm starting to notice what look like hollow (sunken) areas. I don't wear makeup & for the first time in my life I look very pale. There's puffiness & swelling over & under my eyes (dropping lids) that may have been there for years (?) but was hidden under the 'steroid face'. I have very sensitive combination skin & I've been hesitant to use anything near my eyes except cooling gel packs. I guess you can say botox would be an easier fix, but I don't want easy, I want safe & healthy. How can I treat this & do you have any videos I can reference?

I was doing all right with straight Vit C but this is so much gentler and I don't have to deal with portioning a month's worth at a time out of the fridge. I wound up going with a brand you didn't mention here but that I think you've mentioned elsewhere, Paula's Choice. Their antioxidant serum is heavy in Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate as well as Q10, ceramides, peptides, SOD, Beta Glucan, soy, MAP and Ferulic Acid. I'm loving the effect despite the $30 price tag for something that just goes with my regular routine, not replacing moisturizer, sunblock, etc.

I have dry acne prone skin but I love the neutrogena capsules of 20% vit c. Because it’s the highest strength, I sometimes put a dime size of moisturizer in my palm and empty two capsules and mix and than for all over face and neck and run in well. Other times when my skin isn’t breaking out than I will use two capsules dotted fist and rub in and follow with a moisturizer on top. I find one capsule is just not enough and doesn’t spread all over so I have to use two capsules. If it itches or burns than mix with moisturizer before applying and even if it dilutes it some, it’s already max strength. I love that they stay fresh and don’t oxidize. I have had significant fading of my acne mark hyperpigmentation and it makes my skin glow.

My skin seems resilient. I had no problems with vitamin c or retinol and was able to ramp up quickly with both. Only thing I have ever had problems with is coconut oil. Go figure.

I unfortunately find Vitamin C very ineffective for treating hyperpigmentation ☹️ I have used high - end and low end products it just doesn’t work for me. The only product that was amazing but has unfortunately been discontinued is the ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, that was amazing for brightening my skin tone 😩

So thorough, love this. Would love to see your recommendations for hand care, seems unnecessary but is one of the places I notice many women struggle with. I use my face products on my hands but notice it is hyperpigmented and dry despite that. Would love to see/hear your recommendations!

I've had great success using my retinal eye cream on the backs of my hands along with a Q10 cream I got for my face that's a little too heavy for there. My hands are noticably younger looking after a couple months of that routine. No dark spots and firmer overall skin there.

@@IndigooceanOrgwhat brands are you using?
@IndigooceanOrg
@IndigooceanOrg Год назад
@@TheTravelInfluencer Eye retinal is from Beauty of Joseon. Q10 is some random thing from Germany I bought once and won't rebuy. I have gone up now to using my tretinoin at .025 on my hands though. Now I use the retinal on my forehead and throat. About to go up to .05% tretinoin on the rest of my face, and may wind up using the .025% on my forehead and neck, letting the retinal go now that my skin has gotten use to retinoic acid in general. Eventually I hope to be at .05% tretinoin on full face, neck and back of hands.
