Definitely looking forward to Resident Evil. Bought my Oculus & Touch early on before the price drop and have been a little let down from the game library, but I'm being patient & hoping for less rail shooters & teleporting games, as VR sickness is something I don't have a problem with!
I am pretty stoked wtih all the free games Oculus has given me though since I got my Rift in Nov. 16', EVE is my favorite VR game and was a freebie, then I got Luckys Tale solid game as well as Ripcoil. Just bought Touch controllers yesterday since they dropped 100 off them, got 5 free games after activation! Notably Robo Recall and Dead and Buried, the others Toy Box, Medium and Quil also look fun. Overall, I am happy to support Oculus at this point for my VR needs. I have over 100 steam games but when it comes to VR will stick to buying them from home just to support them plus, like I just brought up, Oculus Rift gave me 7 badass games for free! Top if off they have all the other VR games I wanted to play like Project Cars, Dirt, Elite Dangerous, Arizona Sunshine, Subnautica, and VR Sports. Love it! No regrets buying my rift or games through home vs. steam.
Project Cars 2???? Most antipated game VR or not for me this year! Having everything from Formula cars, prototypes, road and even FIA RallyCross, holy shit! I love Dirt, dont get me wrong, but I need a change and more maps! :D
Gimme gimme gimme resident evil vr for pc. Not going to get a psvr just to play it :( I really hate exclusivity for vr, I'm not buying all of these headsets.
When I realized this was the second video of yours I came across, and it was worth staying until the end, you scored! All of those games look great, btw. A few I didn't even know about. Also liked how you are the first to feed the question of when RE7 might make it our way. That's what I'm talking about. Good info. Classy editing/sound quality too.
You have some pretty nice VR content! Got my Oculus a week ago and been looking for a youtuber with good VR material. This gonna be my 1st VR channel. Keep up the good stuff!! Subbed :)
+Purgiful yeah it looks like they definitely just played on the side of caution to start out which makes sense, but now that people are settling in and making a bit of noise I'm hoping teleport or free roam is a standard option so people can just make up their own minds
I have the same view about teleportation movement. I hope they have a directional movement option also, maybe im resilent to motion sickness but that doesn't affect me much at all. It's only when you start using mouse/joystick look that really messes with your head.
+Grimah I find that with really sharp mouse movements I'm fine. It's generally slow strafing left and right that can really get me. Or slow mouse moments is pretty difficult sometimes
I hate teleporting, we have two joys on the touch, dont know why we cant just press gently on one to move and another to turn left/right like you see on a controller? Weird to me, kinda think lazy programming but what do I know :P
I agree 100%. Oculus VR IS AWESOME FOR SIM GAMES. I love my racing an flying sims. Worth every penny I spent on it. I could only play my sim games for the rest of my life an be happy. Just WOW!!! Us Sim Gamers really dont fit into this guys class of games.
well I got my Oculus Rift a month ago (no touch controls, don't need them because I use it only for sim racing) and upgraded my rig with i7 7700k. Running on GTX 1070 and it's amazing. Next upgrade will be GTX 1080 Ti (still waiting on AMD Vega) and replace Logitech G29 with OSW SimCube and Fanatec v3 pedals.
Blizzard will be among the last to go to VR because of the amount of money they have and incentive to keep profits up rather than taking a hit to do something different. Its why we haven't seen any Call of Duty or any other major triple A studio come forward with VR. Its all about numbers. VR has a limited base compared to 10 year old pcs and shitty consoles, give them 10 years, they'll have a slice of the pie by then along with everyone else, but not in gen1, probably not even gen2.. lol Greed. Sucks.
Zero Affex we'll shoot. If Blizzard won't do what they should do for VR like they did for PC, Oculus can just give the money to ME and I'll build a real VR game. I got this badass idea in my head but I don't got the team or expense to bring it to life. 😭
+Tyler Merritt tracking is flawless for most of us since the new update. I wouldn't tell anyone to sell their Vive for a Rift though. I prefer the Rift, but the Vive is almost identical except for a few things it does better than the Rift, and there are a few things the Rift does better than the Vive. After the Rift price drop though, if you are looking at a new HMD I would 100% tell anyone to buy a Rift if they didn't ha E a headset already
Tyler, remember, you'll need at least 3 Rift sensors to get the 360 deg room scale like the Vive but with the price drop, it shouldn't be a problem. The Rift can take up to 4 sensors and I've read people have better tracking if the sensors are mounted from the ceiling. Currently sensors are about $80. I find the Rift more comfortable too because it's lighter but hey, I think either headset is awesome.
Keep Vive, and buy a Rift also. Just got a used Rift with touch $500. 2 Rift sensors work just fine also, like magic^^ Resetting up Vive in new room not so magic. lol Both are great!
Around 50% of users get motion sickness (including myself #neverlucky). It would be disasterous, if games with some budget behind them, wouldnt take that into account. RE7 was developed for PS / PC and added VR as a bonus, so Im fine with it :)
I believe so. On the rare occasion that im forced to reference that movie se7en I do always say it like that. Probably symptomatic of why i'll never have very many friends but damn it that is what it says, it doesn't say seven. Autism is a bitch.
Yeah.. But thats not the same. when you have to buy the controllers. :) taking into account that this game all so works with Revive.. :) then you still need to buy the Game.. when that is said, its still really one of my favorit vr games :D
+Luis Henrique Caetano Yeah man, a 1070 id better for supersampling etc but a 1060 is absolutely fine. I used a 970 for the first 6 months amd had no issues at all
+Shark1103 I was joking. FYI I didn't cover anything outside of the first hour of gameplay. If you want to avoid spoilers in the future it probably best if you don't click on anything that covers up and coming games. It a good point though, I probably could tag it spoilers in the title just to be safe..
Still haven't seen a single must have VR title that would make me want to spend $950 (CAD) on the rift/touch setup. I bought a new computer and started picking up games on steam to get ready for it before the price skyrocketed on release. It's come down somewhat in price but until I can run around in a game like Star Citizen or Crysis 3 with full movement and head tracking with NO teleporting or "standstill behind cover" shooty gameplay... my wallet is sealed.
John Smith...you are clearly not a sim gamer. FS2 Flight Sim in VR is well worth the $1000 alone. A hell of alot cheaper than buying a real plane. It BLEW MY MIND when I flew FS2 in VR. I spent $2000 on my set up...WORTH EVERY PENNY. But to each their own. :0)
Dude i have to thank you so much, its really great that you explain everything in detail, especially the how to install stuff.... I hope you hit the 10000 subsriber mark soon.
+stupidthekid all good man, you're welcome. I try to explain things how I would need it to be explained as sometimes obvious things aren't always that obvious :)
