I gotta say the best Vr Puzzle game is I Expect You To Die, i had alot of fun with all 3 of them, and i felt like it did the best at making things intense and stressful, especially the 3rd one
Thanks for the list and reviews, I learned a lot! One comment: I understand how a $30 game is "expensive" for a mobile platform, but when all other metrics show 5 stars, do you think that it's realistic to give a game 1 star in the price rubric, and count this into the average? I think if a game gets all 5s, then probaby the $30 price mark is justified. I would change this rubric from $30=1star, to rating how appropriately the game is priced.
I just finished solving The Room VR Dark Matter and I loved it. I’m so glad you made this video. I was trying to figure out what to play next. I started Myst years ago on PC. I thought is was good. Have to try it on VR.
Good video and a good review, even if I may not agree with some of your assessments. Still, the audio was abysmal. I understand it isn't always easy to get quality mics and sound equipment, still, even with poor quality equipment, you can minimize sound issues with technique. When you were in your room, the gain was so high there was a massive hum. This is likely because the microphone you were using wasn't built to pick up sound from a distance, so you maxed out its amplification. In fact, it sounds like the mic was sending a maxed out amplified signal into another amplifier that again amplified it further, creating a very loud hum. In this case, just admit the limitations of your microphone and have it in picture with you closer to your mouth. Also, leave the mic amplification low and only amplify it on your computer or whatever sound equipment the mic runs into. This cuts down a lot on noise. When you were off screen, you sounded like you were usung a mic headset, because it sounded like the mic was right in front of your mouth to the point of practically rubbing on your lips. This caused a lot of breath sound pops. Mics need a minimal distance and you seriously need a pop filter between you and the mic. A cheap DIY one can be made with hanger wire and a womans nylon. Anything to allow sound through but will dissipate or reflect breath air movement. It was a great video with unfortunately very distracting sound quality issues.
Thank you for making this video! I love Myst and played the original back in 1993, and really hope they bring Riven and Exile to VR. It’s actually one of the reasons I got a Quest 2, but now that I have it, it seems expensive for essentially a port of an existing game (realMYST). Red Matter looks GOOD. Is The Room a scary game? I haven’t played it on other devices but I love the puzzle adventure genre and don’t like horror games. Thanks!
Thanks for watching. The room is really not scary. Environment and sound sometimes feel like it but you'll eventually get used to it. The puzzle challenges is really a treat
i loved The Room... Shadowpoint is also amazing. Shadowgate as well. Apex Construct was hard for me at first as a newer gamer LOL. My other most favorite of all is Moss... I only hope we get more of this one. I Expect you to die is fun too and there are 2 out now.
Your mic has a TON of feedback. You may consider running your videos through a filter before posting, or figuring out where the him is coming from. Easiest method would be record onto a handheld camera or microphone that is battery powered to keep it isolated.
Hmm I narrowed it to I expect you to die 2 vs Red Matter. Think you could help? They both look fairly same, but I expect you to die 2 seems like it'd have more playtime with speedruns. What y'all think?
