We have similar hair and water is the foundation of my curls. I am going to pay attention to coating each strand this week. Because I get really nice definition but not this nice and I'm sure I can get it. Thanks for the help.

I am a struggling natural and I wish my curls looked moist like yours. I have low porosity hair and I believe my hair is a 4a. I condition my life away. Would happen to have any tips? Also does the hair custard leave a white residue? The curl gels/custards I’ve used leave white residue and I hate it. Lol

Damn, if i didn’t cut my hair again my hair would be the same length as yours 😭 oh well, the good thing is that it’s growing. Your hair is so beautiful and silky. We have similar curl pattern variations but only certain parts of my hair are as silky as yours.
Sandra Reid …shaking is definitely what works for me! I big chopped 3 years ago and started the shaking at about 3inches of growth. I’m maybe armpit length now and it still works amazingly to separate and define each curl/coil/spiral/ringlet! Good Luck!

I just recently cut off my hair again really short and applied a relaxer again 😭 I plan on cutting off the relaxer after my trip to Japan since I want braids while I’m there. After my hair grows back I’m definitely going to try this style!

You hair is beautiful and healthy! It is growing so fast. I am so glad you did this video. It showed me that I am on track for doing my wash and go correctly. I also use Kinky Kurly custard but I often get a lot of single strand knots. I can’t go a whole week without moisturizing in the middle of the week. Do you have the same problem and if so, how do you combat the knots? I had a friend tell me she doesn’t use it because of that issue. I have high porosity hair and need the moisture it keeps the first three days of the week.

LuxLifeTv You can keep it in great shape for 5 days and up to 7 *if* you do a major refresh (a good amount of water and add a little more product and let it re dry) about 4 days in. Sleeping in a bonnet is best 😊
@Brett Hazelton it needs to be cleaned though. Look it up, it takes forever to be usable again and with every time it gets dirtier (you cant filter everything in there) so pouring fresh, drinkable water down the drain is a waste 😶
