Here in the states we have Raggtopp and 303 UV Protectant. Don't use a terry towel, use a microfiber towel.

Always find most auto glym products tend to work well and have used it in the past for fabric hoods, also found renovo was good when I used their re colouring kit last year on a car I was selling. However for many years on a few different convertible cars I have washed with mild soapy water as was advised by Audi, rinsed off then reproofer used, For many years though I have re proofed using Fabsil tent re proofer sprayed on with an garden spray which has always seemed to work well .

Not on a Jag but I have used Renovo to re colour a Kit Car roof to great effect. And I have used Fabsil on an awning but not on a hood. Thanks for the tip

True about the window thing John, its not the same. I had a Caterham 7 type years ago and it was such fun, you felt really alive when driving with only the sky as your roof! I can believe us Brits do buy more convertibles than other countries, always an optomistic bunch we must be😁

Its true. WE ARE FULL OF SAYINGS THAT PROVE THAT OUTLOOK. Never bad weather, just bad clothes. 👍

I think I probably overdoo it with my annual application Steve, so good to hear you are spacing it out every two.

Winding the window down is just not the same. It always amazes me that the UK buys the biggest proportion of Convertibles per capita. The only way I can rationalise it is: If you live in a country with consistently hot sunny weather, then you probably want to hide from the sun. If you live in a country that is freezing cold or consistently wet then you want the best possible protection. If you live in the UK, then every day is a roll of the dice in terms of weather, so having options is really appealing. 😁

Any advice on recolouring or product suggestion?

I have used Renovo on several kit car roofs and been very pleased but not on my jag. Plus its always been on a black roof, so colour match has never been an issue. Yet🤔 It is something I will have to look into

Nice video. Never used spray Autoglym, always used Renovo applied by brush each Autumn (Fall). I presume they are both fairly equal in their protection.
@ToTheGarage
@ToTheGarage 3 года назад
Yes Both equally effective. Probably easier to get a nice even finish with Autoglym spray and better to really get into the seams and gutters with Renovo and a brush. 👍. Cheers Gregory

Will be keeping an eye on it. Obviously there is still a degree of uncertainty for all mass attendance events, and as Im self employed I have to stay very flexible with my diary. But its a maybe🤞

OK I am starting a 'basically anti campaign' so that people use the English language correctly, something is or or isn't it does not need the word 'basically' please join me in not using the word 'basically' UNLESS it is correct
@bruceboucher2134
@bruceboucher2134 3 года назад
Isn't is an abbreviation of "is not" isn't it,
@stuartgreenwood9304
@stuartgreenwood9304 3 года назад
Yes Garry agree I hate it when basically is inserted into every sentence, not the only miss use of English that gets to me these days though
@davidhemsworth4098
@davidhemsworth4098 3 года назад
Replace 'basically' with 'at the most fundamental level's and, if it doesn't sound wonky, then 'basically' will do.
