The 10.5 Hp Dr Power Premiere Brush Mower is the best way I found to deal with weeds and brush. If you're looking for a piece of equipment that will take out weeds and brush as well as saplings up to 2" in diameter then check out this video. This DR Power Brush Mower video is a follow up to the my first review of the mower I did a few months ago. You'll see the piece Generac forgot to install and how it is used to attach the cover for the mower. I will also demonstrate how I use the mower and you can see how it works. I'll also let you know what was preventing me from shutting down the mower, using the throttle. I will introduce you to the facebook DR Power user group I discovered, let you know what the DR in DR Power stands for, and for those new to engines help you understand a bit more about what choking out the engine means; and how combustion works. I have not been paid for this review and everything I discuss in this video was purchased by me. This video is made to give the novice to advanced farmer an idea of what the Dr. Power self propelled power brush mower can actually do and I hope it helps you in making a decision as to whether this may or may not be a good piece of equipment for you. Thanks for watching! I'll be interested to see how well it cranks when I make it back to the farm. It will have been sitting for a while. I wonder where the DR bush mowers bought in the UK are assembled? Seems the issues or complaints are because of assembly and not quality of the design. It's a great machine and pretty amazing to think that some people use theirs for over 40 years. I'm definitely happy I bought mine but like I said in the video the 10.5 does a ton of work and that's really all I need; and I'm going after some pretty crazy brush! I bought that same unit last year for my farm property in kansas. It also arrived missing the pulley cover bracket. I also discovered that the two mounting holes for the bracket were drillef but never tapped for threads , since I am welder and mechanic I fabricated my own bracket and tapped the holes. I did advize DR about this. Seems like quality control these days has taken a back seat.

Wow! You're exactly right, it is a quality control issue for sure. I believe Generac bought DR power and since then, Generac's oversight of the the manufacturing process just hasn't been as good. I still laugh, thinking about how somebody could've put the Pro model engine on the Premier deck, of my mower. Lol. That's not a little mistake. Thanks so much for watching Tim. @@alabamakingyou are welcome. Its a decent machine , i do push it beyond its normal capabilties ( it dosnt like really tall grass especially when wet. It isnt a finish nor mulching mower ) with 75 hours on it the drive belt has to be tensioned often via the small adjuster on the right handle bar. I will figure this out , no reason to ask DR. Other then that it gets lots done. I used to live in socal and spent lots of time between SD and La. Left years ago for the farm life in kansas.

I have a 10.5 HP DR 26 inch mower I have been using on my 40 acres for 25 years. It has a key kill switch. Compression getting low and won't start hot. But still runs great. Wish it had an hour meter because I can only guess. I raised my eyebrow at a lot on your first video. Esp. Doctor! Advice keep all the bolts tight esp handle bars or things will rattle and twist. Main spindle holds a ton of grease. Fill it. Keep gear box filled with proper lubricant.mine has leaked out gear bushings for 25 years. I cut walking trails for over an hour today.

LOL People have really commented on my calling it the Dr. LOL Just ignorance on my part but I still love calling it the Dr! 25 years? WOW! Hoping mine will do the same. I keep it covered and run the fuel dry when I have to store it. We'll see how it does in November when I go back. It will be interesting to see how it cranks after sitting for so long. It's actually a set screw if it's threaded all the way up. A bolt is only threaded part way up.

It is called. “D”…..”R”. Not called “Doctor” You are a city guy. I understand. My DR is 45 years old and has been a workhouse all those years. I have 21 acres in northern Wisconsin. The engine is shuts off by choking out the engine. I always stopped the engine this way. After 45 years I have no complaints.

LOL Thank you Frank for the comment! Yes, I have been set strait on DR but I love calling it the Doctor! LOL You know, I love my machine as well and I hope I get as many years out of mine as you have with yours. I believe a lot of issues regarding assembly began to happen when Generac acquired DR Power. That's my guess, I have been hearing horror stories in regards to missing parts, etc..upon delivery. That's just a management issue in my opinion. The designs and equipment seem to be solid. I think you bought yours at the right time for sure!
