MUSSOORIE ON FOOT !
Monsoon is indeed the best time to visit Mussoorie. It is the greenest during the rainy season and the crowd is lesser in comparison to summer and winter seasons. People usually visit the place during summer vacation or in winter when there’s snowfall but the mystic and dreamlike settings of monsoon season brings out the best of Mussoorie.
In today's episode I decided to go beyond the tourist spots of Mussoorie, and instead go on a walking tour. With the company of Sunita Kudle from La Villa Bethany, I got to experience Mussoorie like never before as we explored some of its famous attractions and hidden gems, uncovered Mussoorie's history and culture from its markets, colonial era buildings, heard anecdotes, interesting stories and fun facts.
This walking tour was a journey, of exploring Mussoorie in its true sense, Not only did it enrich me, it also changed my perspective of the city, and made by Mussoorie trip so special.

All I can tell you about Padmini Niwas is, I have literally grown up here. The property is a stunner and the people of the property are way more amazing. It's an annual family retreat for us and so many memories we have here. ❤

Kya vidambana hai jaha jungle greenery hoti thi ab waha hariyali dhoondhni pad Rahi hai just for shoot...High levels of corruption everywhere..no stopping ..Sab comments me har koi yaadon ki baat kar raha hai ...isi tarah chala to ye jagah hi yaad hi ban jaani hai very soon..Hundreds of warnings given but every one sleeping under their cozy warm quilts...Speechless

Padmini Niwas is on the southern slopes, just below the junction of Camel's Back road and Mall road. It does not command himalayan views, as claimed here, though it is a value for money stay option close to Library Chowk. This story about Wilson is a fictitious recreation of Wilson's escape from Mussoorie as narrated in the book "Raja of Harsil".....not based on any biographic account.

Avoid lovely omelette centre at any cost. Overly overhyped and overpriced place. Even you and me can make that omelette. There's nothing special in it.
